DELHI FOOTBALL LEAGUE - SR. & SUPER Division 2014/15

30.07.2015 : Fourteen (14) top affiliated clubs including defending Champions - Indian National and runners-up Garhwal Heroes will vie for top honours in the prestigious Prize Money DELHI SOCCER ASSOCIATION (DSA) Annual Open Clubs Football League Championship – 2015 starting from Saturday, the 1st August to September 5, 2015 at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium, New Delhi.

The groupings of participating teams were decided in the club’s secretaries meeting held recently. The teams have been divided in two groups consisting of seven teams each:=

Group – A : Indian National FC, Hindustan FC, Delhi FC, Goodwill FC, Youngmen SC, Shimla Youngs, indian Air force ( Palam )

Group - B : Garhwal Heroes FC, Tarun Sangha FC , National United, Delhi United FC, City FC, Ahbab FC, Moonlight SC

The league will be played on round – robin basis. A keen tussle is awaited in the competition as every participating clubs have roped in outstanding players including foreign Nationals through AIFF / DSA players’ transfer windows.

Meanwhile, the DSA has consistuted a league sub – committee consisting of N. K. Bhatia- as chairman, Nagendra Singh – Convenor, Rizwan – ul – Haq – Co-covenor with Bhola Nath Karmakar, Ashok Kumar, Bankim Dutta, Bhupender Adhikar, R. Subraminanian, Dinesh Kumar as members for smooth conduct of the league.

In the inaugural match scduled on August 1 at 3.00 pm, Hindustan FC will meet newly promoted Indian Air Force ( Palam ). In the second match, Shimla Youngs will take on Delhi FC at 4. 45 pm.

22.08.2015 : In today.s matches, Hindustan FC defeated Goodwill FC by 3-0. Scorers were Monu Choudhary (16th minute ), Mehul Rana (66th minute). and N. Pheirim (80 + 2 minute. Garhwal Heroes FC defeated Ahbab FC 4-2. Garhwal Heroes's Dammy (3rd and 39th minute ), Charles (24th minute) and Yogesh (66th minute ). Ahbab's reduced margin 2-4 through Festus (72nd) and Saurav Pmrn (76th minute ). City rallied to hol Tarun Sangha FC to a 11-1 draw. Tarun Sangha's Samson scored 1-0 in 35th minute) while City's Dipanshu restored parity 1-1 in 74th minute.

After completion of the preliminary league today, eight top teams ( four each from both group ) qualified for super eight round - robin league of the Delhi Soccer Association ( DSA ) Annual Senior Division Open Clubs Football League Championship being held at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium. Eight qualifying teams are : Indian Air Force ( Palam ),Hindustan FC, Indian National FC, Youngmen SC ( from group A), and Delhi United FC, Garhwal Heroes, City and Youngmen SC ( from group - B ).

Indian Air Force ( Palam ) open their campaign against Youngmen SC in the inaugural match of super eight league on August 24 at 2. 00 pm. Tarun Sangha FC will take on in the second match at 4. 15 pm. Duration of matches will be of 45 minute each half with a interval of ten minute.

20.08.2015 : Indian National FC ---- 5-1 ---- Shimla Youngs FC
Defending Champions - Indian National FC registered empatic victory over Shimla Youngs FC to beat them 5-1 to qualifies for super league of the Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) Annual Senior Division Open Clubs Football League Championship being held at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium heretoday. National completed their engagements bycollecting 11 points from 6 matches, Shimla Youngs also completed their matches by getting only 1 point. The highlight of this match was a fine hat-trick scored by nigerian striker Okoro who scored in 4th, 45th, 57th minute of the proceedingds. Suriender (72nd minute )and Sandeep (76th minute) were other scorers to made score 5-0, Shimla Youngs reduced margin 1-5 in 79th minute. Earlier, runners - up Garhwal Heroes recorded a 5-0 fluent win over Moonlight SC. Garhwal Heroes's scorerswere Dammy (34tg), Al-Hasan (48th minute), Gaimlung Kamei ( 50th minute ), Charles (57th) and Midung (77th minute). Garhwal Heroes have now 10 points from 5 games and still hane game against Ahbab on August 21. Moonlight completed their engagements by collecting 6 points.

In a day of upsetys in the Delhi Soccer association (DSA) Annual Senior Division Open Clubs Football leag. Ambedkar Stadium, Delhi IUnited Football Club ralli 2 thrilling victory over last year's runners - up Garhwal Heroes FC to collect three valuable points to qualify for super league. Garhwal Heroes took 1-0 lead in the 22nd minute through Nigerian striker Charles. Delhi Uniterd restored parity 1-1 in 33rd minute through Nigerian recruit Sola. Garhwal Heroes's Charles again struck in the 35th minute to give his team a 2-1 lead. Delhi United's Jamesita levelled score 2-2 in 54th minute. Insid-right Obed Kemei struck 3-2 winning goal in 71st minute. Delhi United collected 12 points from 5 games. Garhwal Heroes have 7 points from 4 matches.

19.08.2015 :Goodwill FC ---- 3-0 ---- Shimla Youngs FC
In another upset match, Goodwill FC scored a solitary goal victory over defending champions - Indian National FC to secure three valuable points . Goodweill have 7 points from 4 matches. Youngmen SC scored a 3-0 win over Shimla Youngs FC. Kisley Sajkwan (56th), Kevesh ( 67th ) and Kartik Chandra (76th minute were the scorers. Youngmen have 7 points from 5 matches. Shimla Youngs have only 1 point gfrom 5 games. In a missed goal scoring chanesl United FC and Tarun Sangha FC played a goalless draw to share equal points. United have 4 points from 4 games .Tarun Sangha have 7 points from 4 games.

18.08.2015 : Walled City Football Club ---- 2-0 ---- Moonlight Club
Walled City Football Club scored a 2-0 victory over newly promoted Moonlight Club in Group-B preliminary league match of the Delhi Soccer association (DSA) Annual Senior division Open Clubs Football League Championship being held at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium heretoday. City Club brightened their chances for super league qualification by collecting 7 points from 4 matches, Moonlight have 6 points from 5 games.City Club took 1-0 lead in the 39th minute. On changing ends, out-side Ripu completed tally 2-0 in 56th minute.

18.08.2015 : Tarun Sangha F ---- 1-0 ---- Ahbab FC
Later on, in group-B, Tarun Sangha FC managed to beat Ahbab FC 1-0 to secure three full points. Tarun Sangha's Parveen Kumar was lucky to received a ball in the 51st minute delected from rival's defender mukesh Nathani and Parveen did not commit to place the ball inside the box.(1-0 ).. Tarun Sangha have secured 9 points from 4 matches while Ahbab drew blank from 5 games.

17.08.2015 : Hindustan Football Club ---- 8-0 ---- Delhi Football Club
Formidable Hindustan Football Club trounced Delhi Football Club in group - A preliminary league match of the Delhi Soccer Association ( DSA ) Annual Senior Division Open Clubs Football League Championship being held at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium heretoday. Hindustan Club consolidated their position for super league qualifaction by begging 6 points from 4 matches while Delhi FC have 2 points from 5 matches. At lemon break, Hindustan led 4-0. Former Delhi state captain Monu Choudhary opened score 1-0 in 12th minute. Inside- left Daniel increased lead to 2-0 in 15th minute. Outside- left Jagdeep Singh increased led to 3 - o in 17th minute while Ashutosh Thaipliyal made it 4-0 in 36th minute. On ching ends, Daniel struck 5-0 in43rd minute. Thereafter, striker Dillli Ram scored a brace in 63rd and 7th minute to increse lead to 7-0. Pawan Joshi completed tally to 8-0 in the 80th minute. Hindustan's Ashutosh (Jr. No. 27 ) and Delhi FC 's Rahul ( Jr. No.o4 ) were shown yellow cards following infringements.

16.08.2015 : HIndian Air Force ---- 3-1 ---- Youngmen SC
Newly promoted, Indian Air Force (Palam), who had already qualified for super league) topped group A while defeating Youngmen SC to completed their engagements by collecting 16 points. Youngmen SC remained at 4 points from 4 matches. The highlight of this match was a fine hat - trick scored by striker Vivek who scored in 6th, 22nd and 49th minute to make score 3-0. Youngmen SC reduced margin 1-3 in 67th minute through Karthik.

16.08.2015 : Garhwal Heroes Football Club ---- 4-0 ---- Tarun Sangha FC
Last year's runners-up Garhwal Heroes Football Club outclassed Tarun Sangha FC 4-0 in group-B preliminary league match to earn three full points in the Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) Annual Senior Division Open Clubs Football League Championship being held at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium heretoday. At lemon break, Garhwal Heroes led 3-0. All three goal scored by winners forwards were of high class. Inside- left Golmaie opened score 1-0 in 2nd minute of the proceedings. Nigerian recruit Al Hassan incresed lead to 2-0 in 37th minute while another nigerian recruit Charles made the score 3 0 in 40 + 1 minute. On changing ends, Tarun Sangha mounted heavy pressure against their strong rivals but forwards Parveen Kumar (SR) Satwinder Singh and Amandeep Singh missed easy sitters from closefollowing erratic shooting. Later on, newly promoted Moonlight SC scored a 2-1 victory over National United Fc 2-1. Moonlight's young lads played an immpressive game against their strong oponents. Moonlight Club collect 6 points from 4 matches while National United Fc 3 points in 3 games. Moonlight took 1-0 lead in the 9th minute through Nitin Sharma and again in 61st minute Nitn Sharma again struck to make score 2-0. National United reduced margin 1-2 in 64th minute through Saheen John.

15.08.2015 : Indian National FC ---- 1-0 ---- Hindustan FC
In a group- A preliminary league among two giants defending champions-Indian National FC and favouirts Hindustan FC played today in the Delhi Soccer Association (DSA ) Annual Senior Division Open Clubs Football League championship being held at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium, Defending champions-Indian National FC managed to earn a 1-0 hard fought victory over Hindustan FC to collect three cruical points to remain in contention for super league qualification. At lemon break, National led 1-0 througgh nigerian recruit Usani off a cross from Kamal Rawat. On changing ends, Hindustan had an edge over their rivals but forwards muffed many easy chances from close following erratic finishing.

15.08.2015 : Delhi United Football Club ---- 2-1 ---- Ahbab Football Club
In group- B preliminary match played earlier, Delhi United Football Club strulled hard to score a 2-1 victory over spirited Ahbab Football Club to earn three vital points. At lemon break, Delhi United led 1-0 thrugh 7th minute through Ankit Kashyap off a defensive lapse. On changing ends, Ahbab lads rejuventated themselves through few good moves initiated from flanks and levelled score 1 1 in 50th minute through nigerian recruit Festus. Delhi United's out-side left K. P. Kabui struck 2-1 winning goal in 73rd minute. Delhi United FC collected 9 points from 4 matches while Ahbab suffered their fourth straight defeat to drew blank.

13.08.2015 : Indian Air Force ---- 2-0 ---- Youngmen SC
Newly promoted Indian Air Force ( Palam ) qualifies for super league of the DSA Annual Senior Division Open Clubs Football League Championship. Goodwill FC defeated Shila Youngs FC 4 - 2 in group - A.

IAF (Palam) collected 13 points from 5 matches and still have one match against Youngmen SC. Delhi FC have 2 points in 3 games. At lemon break, both tems levelled goalless. Vivek opened score 1-0 in 54th minute. B.Halder made it 2-0 in 63rd minute.

13.08.2015 : Goodwill FC ---- 4-2 ---- Shimla Youngs FC
Earlier, Goodwill FC defeated Shimla Youngs FC 4-2 in group - A. Goodwill's Vijay Malhotra opened score 1-0 in 22nd minute. Kanav made it 2-0 in 27th minute. Naveen increased lead to 3 - 0 in 40_1 minute. Shimla Youngs FC reduced margin 1 - 3 in 69th minute.through Nigerian recruit Lungleng. Goodwill further reduced margin 2 - 3 in 73rfd minute through Neeraj. Goodwill completed tally to 4-2 through Shivam in 80+3 minute.

11.08.2015 : Indian Air Force ---- 1-1 ---- National United FC
In group- A preliminary league match defending champions struggled hard to hold newly promoted Indian Air Force ( Palam ) to a 1-1 draw in a welled contested match to share equal points. IAF ( Palam ) have so far 10 points from 4 matches while National have 5 points from 3 games. Airmen took 1-0 lead in the 10th minute off a fine header converted from top of the box on a left flank cross sent by medio M. Shhbaz. Later on, Vivek would have increased lead had he finished the target. National restored parity 1-1 in the 49th minute ( 2nd half ) through Nigerian recruit Okorogor who also received a yellow card from FIFA referee Mohd.

Earlier, the group A preliminary league match scheduled between National United FC and City FC could not be played due to water logging of the field following this after- noon heavy rains. The match will be re-schedulater on a later date.

Youngmen Football Club scored a 2-0 victory over Delhi FC in group- A preliminary league match of the Delhi Soccer Association ( DSA ) Annual Senior Division Open Clubs Football League Championship being played at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium. Prinjal opened score 1-0 in 9th minute while former international Kisley Sajwan made it 2-0 in 35th minute. In another match, Hindustan Club defeated Shimla Youngs to earn three full points.

Tarun Sangha Football Club scored a 2-0 victory over favouirts Delhi United FC in the:DSA Annual Senior Division Open Clubs Football League Championship being held at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium heretoday. Baljit Singh opened score 1-0 in 30th minute. On changing ends, Satwinder Singh completed tally 2 - 0 in 68th minute. In a battle among young and experienced side, experience prevailed over youth, Delhi United Football Club scored a 2-0 victory over newly promoted Moonlight FC to earn three full points in group-B preliminary league match of the Delhi Soccer Association ( DSA ) Annual Open Clubs Football League Championship being held at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium heretoday.Inside- left Obed Kahme opened score 1-0 in the 3rd minute of the proceedings. Again in 32nd minute of the proceedings, hObed Kahme increase tally to 2-0.

Moonlight too got many goal scoring chances in the 2nd half, but forwards particulary Kushant ChauhanPradeep Kumar and Dilip Bisht muffed chances following erratic shooting from top of the box.Delhi United have collected 6 points from 2 games while Moonlight tasted their second defeat from as many matches.

Last year's runners up Garhwal Heroes Football Club scored a 2-0 victory over National United FC in group-B preliminary league matc of Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) Annual Senior Division Open Clubs Football League Championship being held at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium heretoday. At interval, Garhwal Heroes led 1-0 through Nigerian recruit AJI Denenenge off a solo effort. On resumption, AJI Demenenge again struck in 54th minute off a solo effort to dodge past rivals defenders.

In group B preliminary league match, Delhi United Football Club outclassed walled-city famous club City Fb by 3-0 to collect three full points. Scorers were an recruit - Jame (33rd minute ), Pranav Kawi (58th) and K. P.Kabui ( 67th minute). Winners' goal-keeper Sanju Thapa was given marching order following punching the ball from outside the box. Yatin, Jamesita, Bijender and Hardeep Bedi received yellow cards.

Earler, National United FC scored a solitary goal victory over Ahbab FC scored by Shaheen in the injury time.

Newly promoted Indian Air Force ( Palam) humbled formidable Hindustan Football Club by a solitary goal to earn three full points in the inaugural match of the prestigious Delhi Soccer Association ( DSA ) Annual Senior Division Open Clubs Football Leguie championship which commenced today at Dr. Ambed Stadium.

Earlier, the championship was inauguragated and declared open by South Delhi Municipal Corporation Subash Arya. AIFF vice - president and DSA president Subhash Chopra presided over the function.

In the initial half proceedings which ended galless draw., Hindustan Club had an edge over the airmen and got many goal scoring chances but their forwards particulary nigerian recruit Danial who easy goal coring chances from top of the box and failed to beat rivals'goalee Shibin Raj who excelled under the bar. The other culprit were inside-right Sonu Beniwal whose free kick from out-side the box was nicely saved by the rival's goalee with a class punch Former Delhi captain Monu Choudhary also missed the target from close.

On changing ends, Air Force lads combined them selves well and rejuvented to create many in-roads in Hindudtan's citadel. In the mid session, Air Force's left- in Sanjay Thapa converted class free - kick from 35 yards to saw the net.to surprise rival goalee Amit Negi.

01.08.2015 : Delhi F.C (Palam) ---- 1-1 ---- Shimla Youngs FC
In a well balaced match, Delhi F.C rallied to hold Shimla Youngs FC to a 1-1 draw to share equal points.Shimla Youngs took a 1-0 lead through nigerian recruit Uzo Jno in 18th minute while Delhi FC's Shubam restored parity 1-i in the second half proceedings to share equal points.

06.09.2015 :IAF (Palam) ---- 2-0 ---- Delh United
In the first match IAF (Palam) went 2-0 ahead within five minutes. Delh United's defender Manoj Joshi conceded an own goal in the 3rd minute and a minute later Vivek made it 2-0 for IAF. In the 11th minute Nigerian recruit Jamesita reduced the margin for Delhi United. IAF sealed their victory with an 83 minute goal by Savrav.

06.09.2015 :Garhwal Heroes FC ---- 3-0 ---- Youngmen SC
Garhwal Heroes FC scored a 3-0 victory over spirited Youngmen SC to collect three cruical points.Garhwal Heroes completed their matches by getting 16 points from 7 games. Youngmen finished with 9 points. Youngmen took 1 - 0 lead in34th minute throughShubham. Garwal Heroes equalised through Demmy in 36th minute. Nigerian striker Charles made 2 - 1 in 42nd minute while Minluntung completed tally 3 - 1.

Defending champions - Indian National FC brightened their chances for title race when they scored a 6-3 win in the Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) Annual Senior Division open clubs round-robin super eight league match being held at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium heretoday. National completed their matches by collecting 15 points from 7 games while City remained at 4 points from 7 games. National took 1-0 lead in 24th minute through Kapango while Tilak made it 2-0 in 27th minute. City's Christian reduced margin 1-2 in 33rd minute. National increase score 3-1 in 37th minute through Useni. City's Rahul reduced margin 2-3 in 58th minute. National's Kamal Rawat made it 4-2 in 45th minute. Usani again struck in 59th minute to increase tally 5-2. City's Ripu reduced margin 3-5 in 63rd minute, Usani completed tally 6-3 in 90+ 4 minute.

Earlier, Hindustan Club scored a 2-0 victory over Trun Sangha FC to collect three full points. Dilli Ram opened score 1-0 in 39thade it 2-0 in 57th minute. Hindustan completed their engagements by getting 11 points from 7 games. Tarun Sangha FC drew blank from 7 matches.

Defending champions-Indian National Football Club rallied to hold spirited Youngmen SC to a 2-2 draw to share equal points in round-robin super eight league match of the Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) Annual Senior Division Open Clubs Football Legue Championship being held at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium heretoday. Youngmen opened score 1-0 in 4th minute through Adesh who again struck 2-0 in 45 +1 minute. National reduced margin 1-2 through nigerian recruit Useni. Medio Kapango levelled score 2-2 in the 45 +2 minute. On changing ends, National FC dominated proceedings but forwards Kamal Rawat and Lalunthra who wasted easy chances from close. An unfortune incident occured after the match when National coach Hans Raj mishandled match referee Rahul Gupta and also used abusive unparlimentary language against DSA OFFICIALS and even throw away the chairs in the VIP area. The League sub - committee, on the basis of concerned match referee and commissioner reports,has issued a notice why discipinary action should not be taken against him.

Last year's runners - up Garhwal Heroes edged past newly promoted Indian Air Force (Palam) by a margin of 4-2 goal margin in a well contested match of the DELHI SOCCER ASSOCIATION (DSA) ANNUAL SENIOR DIVISION OPEN CLUBS ROUND - ROBIN SUPER EIGHT LEGUE being held at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium heretody. Garhwal Heroes FC collected 13 points from 6 matches while IAF (Palam) remained at 11 points from 6 games.

Garhwal Heroes's star striker Dammy opened score 1-0 in 3rd minute. Nigerian recruit Al - Hasan scored a brace in 32nd minute and 65th minute to increse lead to 3-0. Om changing ends, IAF's Vivek reduced margin 1-3 in 52nd minute while Hardeep Singh further reduced margin 2-3 in 56th minute. Garhwal Heroes completed tally 4-2 in 90 + 2 minute.

Hindustan FC rallied to hold Delhi United FC to a 2-2 draw to share equal points. Delhi United FC were up by 2-0 in the initial half proceedings through Jonathan (32nd minute) and Obed Kemei ( 34th minute). Hindustan's shiot back after lemon break when Kuber Bisht reduced margin 1-2 in 49th minute while Dilli Ram equalised score 2-2 in 90th minute. Hindustan Club were awarded a spot - kick wasted by striker Monu Choudhary who also missed an easy sitter erlier. Delhi United collected 7 points from 6 matches while Hindustan have 8 points from 6 games.

DSA PRESS RELEASE : 16.11.2014 : Twenty - four ( 24 ) affiliated clubs will vie for top honours in the ONGC - Delhi Soccer Association (DSA ) Annual ' B' Division Open Clubs Football League Championship - 2014 beginning from November 17 at CWG Village Sports Complex, Akshardham, New Delhi.

The groupings of 24 participating teams were decided in the club secretaries meeting held recently. The teams have been divided in three preliminary groups consisting of eight teams each which are as:

Group - A : ROHINI FC, ROYAL BENGAL-DWARKA, LODHI AC, GOANS SC, UNION FC, Buddisht Blue Stars, REAL - JAUGUAR FC
Group - B : ASHOKA GULABHI BAGH, MUGHALS SPORT CLUB, COLUMBAS FC, GLORIOUS FC, HANS FC, YOUNG BENGAL ASSOCIATION, RANGERS SC
Group - C : DELHI TIGERS, VENUS FC, UTTRANCHAL HEROES, GOLDEN STARS, NEW FRIENDS, SHAKTI FC, STATE BANK OF INDIA, EIMI HEROES FC.

The top teams of each group will qualify for super- six league. The winners and runners- up team of super-six league will gets promotion to 'A ' division from nex year. No team will be allowed to participate in the league who fails to get their players registered under the Centralisied Registration Scheme ( CRS ) system for local and international players made mandatory by the All India Football Federation ( AIFF ) from this year.

Rohini Football Club will take on newly recruited Real - Jaguar FC in the inaugural match of the championship kicking off at 2.15 pm on Nov.17 while Royal Bengal FC will meet Buddisht Blue Stars ( B B Stars ) FC in the second match scheduled at 3. 45 pm.

22 affiliated clubs will vie for top honours in the Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) Annual 'A' Division open clubs football league championship starting from April 16 at CWG Village Sports Complex, Akshardham.

Prominent participating clubs have been divided in three groups which are

group A : Indian Air Force (New Delhi), Frontiers, Uttrakhand, Delhi Cantt., Garhwal Diamond, Ajmal FC, Paschim Heroes
Group B : Punjab Heroes, Young Boys, New Delhi Heroes, Royal Rangers, Bangadarshan, Friends United, Cosmos
Group C : Shastri Club, Youngsters, Collegians, Delhi Students, Victory FC, Royal FC, Young Sports, DDA FPS.

The top teams of each group of the preliminary league will qualify for super=six round- robin league. The top two teams of each super-six league will make it to the semi-finals stage.

In the inaugural match, Delhi Students will take on DDA FPS at 1.30 pm while in the second match, Friends United meets New Delhi Heroes FC at 3.00 pm. The tip two teams of rhe championship will be promoted to senior division from next session. Former Air Force Sports Control Board Secretary and currently Director ( Administration ), Amity University and Dr. Anju Luthra, Chairman , DSA Women Committee & Phyiscal Director Jesus & Merry College will inaugurate the championship.

The participating teams may complete all players registrion formalities i.e. submission of CRS forms, list of eligible players alongwith their photographs.

DFA PRESS RELEASE : Father Agnel, NOIDA, won the 5th A. R. Khan Memorial Inter School Football tournament defeating Mother's International by 4-1.

In a well contested thrilling final Father Agnel dominated the proceedings. The awards were given by the Chief Guest, Mr. Ram Niwas Goel, speaker of Delhi Legislative Assembly, in a glittering ceremony. Delhi Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Asim Ahmed Khan, former MLA Chaudhary Mateen Ahmed and Regional Director Education Department (East) Mrs Usha and Vice President of DSA N. K. Bhatia graced the occasion as Guest of honor.

The teachers and the staff of the Dr. Zakir Hussain Memorial School Jafarabad were also felicitated for their dedicated work which enabled the school to achieve Indira Award for year 2013-14. The appreciation awards were given by the Regional Director.

In his address Ram Niwas Goel emphasized on the need of more outdoor sporting activities and assured the organizers of his full support in holding such activities. Ahbab Football Club and Dr. Zakir Husain Memorial School Jafarabad is jointly organizing the A. R. Khan Memorial Tournament for the last five years.

Twenty teams participated in the tournament and DPS NOIDA won the third place by defeating APJ NOIDA School. Secretary of the Ahbab Footbal Club told that the current tournament is the dream of club's founder Gen. Secretary Abdul Quddoos and club enjoyed the patronage of DSA President Subhash Chopra in holding such activities and without his support this would not have been possible. Principal of Dr. Zakir Husain Memorial Sr. Sec. School welcomed the guests and briefed about the activities of Club and School. Seelapur MLA Haji Ishraq, Councilor Aasma Rehman, Deputy Director R. The teams will play in two divisions viz. Senior and 'A' respectively and ten (10) teams each will figure in both divisions. The format of the league will be round - robin basis. Four teams each of the preliminary stage league will qualify for round-robin super league.

Keeping in view to get employment in these premier institutions as was the practice in sixties-seventies era, the Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) had formulated guidlines for such institutions to appoint upcoming players on scholarship/stipend basis so that needed players should be provided employment to secure their future.

The stipended sub-committee under the chairmanship of DSA vice-resident- N. K. Bhatia with members- Rizwan-ul-Haq, Dilip Ghosh, Bikramjeet and Liquat Ali yesterday in a meeting has uninimously decided to allow participating teams to include atleast four stipend players in the playing list, but only three such players will be allowed to play in a match.

The DSA has also constituted a league sub- commitee with Hafiz Shahid as chairman and Bhola Nath Karmar -convener for smooth conduct. The teams should complete all necessary formalities in regard to submission of annual affiliation/league fees and bonofide players list latest by June 2. -----------

29.06.2015: the closing ceremony of one month's long DSA Annual Summer Coaching camp for boys and girls in the age group of 8 years to 18 years( boys and girls ) was held on Sunday, June 28 at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium, New Delhi.The Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) hold, as usual ,organised this coaching camp in various age groups ( 8 years to 18 years ) for promising children ( Boys and Girls ) at the Ambedkar Stadium from May 16 under the guidance of expert coaches and spotters, to short list players for future programmes of the DSA, as the world and Asian soccer bodies, in association with the All India Football Federation, are keen to develop the base of the game in the country, as India has strong potential to make it big in soccer.

Prior to the prize distribution ceremony, two matches in the age group of 8 years to 14 years and 15 years to 18 years were played\and thrilled the fans including parents of the kids with their skill with the game. Bachi Ram's & Julius Ceaser trained team consisting of 15 years to 18 years won the match while grass-root level team trained by Ritu Raj and Jagdish Chanra also emerged winners.

Chief guest-South Zone MCD chairmain Virender Kasana, former NIS and SAI coach Biru Mal alongwith other eminent sports dignatories viz. Jagdish Thakural, Mukul Kapoor including prominent DSA officials graced the occasion and presented participation certificates and kit bags to all participants who attended the ceremony.

The camp was inaugurated by Mahabali Satpal and NIS chief coach Biru Mal on June 16. As many as 150 budding and upcoming players took part in a more than one month's long summer coaching camp under the guidance of eminent qualified coaches.

With India all set to bid for the Under-17 World Cup, the game has got a big boost in the country, and the DSA camp would be an apt opportunity for promising talent to hone their skills by fruitfully utilizing their summer vacation for a bright future in the game, as soccer offers tremendous potential in the country. Those shortlisted by the DSA spotters from the summer camps will be considered for selection for the Delhi teams for various age group National championships in the country, which will open up a window of opportunity for the young talent to show case their talent. The DSA camps will be conducted by highly-qualified and reputed coaches, who would keep a keen eye to spot the particularly ability, strengths and weaknesses of each player.

Therefore, this will be one of a kind chance for young talent to train under expert coaches and brighten their future, as they will be taken under the wings of the DSA for further grooming .Eminent coaches imparted training to the budding children includes former internationals including NIS coach and AFC 'C', 'B' and 'A' licence holders etc.like-Biru Mal, Tarun Roy, Anandi Barua, Bachi Ram, Jagdish Chandra, Julius Ceaser, Fardeen Qureshi, Sanjay, Negi, Ritu Raj, etc..

Prominent sports promoting establishments - ONGC , SAIL , COCA- COLA, COSCO INDIA, SHIV NARESH SPORTS were the official partners of the camp.
