16.10.2013 : DSA PRESS RELEASE : Twenty top affiliated clubs will vie for top honours in the annual DLF-ONGC-Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) Football Championship-2013 scheduled to commence from Sunday, October 20 at DDA CWG Sports Complex, Akshardham.

A keen tussle is on cards when twenty (20) top affiliated clubs will vie for top honours in the annual DLF-ONGC-Delhi Soccer Association (DSA ) Football League Champions - 2013 scheduled to commence from Sunday, October 20 at DDA CWG Sports Complex, Akshardham.

The highlight of this years.s league will be that apart from local recruits many outstation and foreign national players will be seen in action, As many as seventy (70) outstation players had sought inter-state transfers from states like West Bengal, Goa, Punjab, Haryana, U.P, Uttrakhand, Jharkhand, North-East, Odisha etc.

in the 1st window of All India Football Federation (AIFF ) Inter- State transfers of players. Three (3) foreign national can be registered but only two players are eligible to play. The groupings of participating teams were decided by draw of lots in the club secretaries meeting held in DSA office on September 30. The teams have been divided in three groups at the preliminary stage which are as :

Group - A : Royal Rangers FC, IAF (Palam), Young Boys FC, Utrakhand FC, Garhwal Diamond, Ashoka FC, Cosmos FC.
Group - B : Shastri FC, Young Sports, Royal FC, Collegians FC, Bangadarshan FC, Friends United, Youngsters FC.
Group - C -: N. D. Heroes FC, Moonlight FC, Delhi Cantt. FC, Frontier FC, Ajmal FC, Rohini FC, Victory FC, Delhi Students FC



The two top teams of each preliminary league group will qualify for super six league. Top two teams of super six league will be promoted to Senior Division league from next season. Meanwhile, the Delhi Soccer Association (DSA ) has constituted a league sub - committee headed by H. V. Chauhan as chairman, Magan Singh Patwal as convenor for smooth conduct of the league.

05.12.2013: SOCCER :DLF- ONGC-DSA ANNUAL 'A' DIVISION FOOTBALL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP-2013 - DAY - 32
Moonlight Football Club bagged second slot to qualify for the senior division for the next year's league when the they scored a 2-1 win over Froniter FC in the super- six round- robin league of the DSA - ONGC - Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) Annual 'A' Division Open Clubs Football League Championship-2013 being held at DDA Netaji Subhash Sports Complex, Jasola heretoday.

Shekhar opened score 1-0 in 23rd minute while Sri Ram increased it to 2-0 in 43rd minute. Frontier's Maan Singh reduced margin 1-2 in 57th minute. Moonlight completed their engagements by getting 9 points from 5 games while Frontier FC finished 1 point from 5 matches. IAF (Palam) had topped super=six league by gettin13 points to qualified for senior division already.

Later on, in a inconsequal match, Youngsters scored a 4-1 victory over depleted Young Boys FC. Youngsters completed their engagements with 9 points while Young Boys bagged 4 points.

03.12.2013: SOCCER :DLF- ONGC-DSA ANNUAL 'A' DIVISION FOOTBALL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP-2013 - DAY - 31

Indian Air Force (Palam) assured their berth for next year's senior division football league championship qualification defeating former six - time champions- Shastri Football Club 2-0 in a super- six round-robin league match of the DLF-ONGC-Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) Annual 'A' Division Open Clubs Football League Championship-2013 being held at DDA Netaji Subhash Sports Complex, Jasola heretoday.

IAF completed their engagements by collecting 13 points from 5 matches while Shastri finished with 4 points from 5 games. Inside-left V. K.Singh opened 1-0 score in 41st minute while star striker Mandeep completed tally 2-0 in 69th minute.

Later on, Youngsters FC came from behind to hold Moonlight FC 2-2 draw to split one point eacg. Moomlight's Shekhar opened score 1-0 in 17th minute while Youngsters' Uma Shanker equalised score 1-1 in 20th minute. Youngsters' Talib made it 2-1 in 35th minute. Moonlight's Khushi levelled score 2-2 in 62nd minute.

Youngsters have 4 points from 4 matches and will play their last match against Young Boys on Dec. 5. Moonlight FC have 6 points from 4 matches and play their last match against Frontier FC on Dec.5 to decide the second berth for next year's senior division qualification. Young Boys FC have 4 points from 4 matches.

01.12.2013: SOCCER :DLF- ONGC-DSA ANNUAL 'A' DIVISION FOOTBALL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP-2013 - DAY - 30

Indian Air Force (Palam) Football Club scored a 2-0 victory over Young Boys FC in a super-six round-robin league match of DLF-ONGC-DSA Annual 'A 'Division Open Clubs Football league Championshipop-2013 being held at DDA Netaji subhash Sports Complex, Jasola heretodat. Both teams had an equal oportunities came in their way till the mid session but both sides forward line fumbvled near the goal-mouth following erratict shooting.

IAF got a 1-0 lead in the 22nd mintue following a self goal conceded by Young Boys's defender Vikramjit while clearing the Air Force's mediod B.K.Halder shot from right flank which went inside the box. On changing ends, Young Boys's striker Nikhil Sharma's fine efforts from top of the box were wasted when his powerful shot hit the bar twice the bar.

In the run-off the play, Air Force's V. K. Singh tookj advantage in the 49th mintue off the opponents's off-side tricks and put his side 2-0 ahead. Young Boys lads tried their best to came back in the game but forwards 'Rock Hudson and Yogesh Malik's fine efforts were wasted.

IAF (Palam) with 10 points from 4 matches have consolidated their position for next year's super division qualification. Young Boys have 4 points from 4 games. Earlier in a well-contested match, former six times champions- Shastri FC defeated Frontiers FC 2-1 to keep themself in content.

A fine brace by inside-left Mahender Singh enabled Shastri FC to score a 2-1 win in 21st and 59th minute. Frontiers's Franco lelled 1-1 in 47th minute. Shastri have 7 points from 4 matches whikle Frontiers collected 1 point from 4 games.

Indian Air Force (Palam) scored a 2-0 fluent victory over favourits- Youngsters FC in a super-six round robin league of the DLF-ONGC-Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) Annual'A' Division Open Club Football League Championship- 2013 being held at DDA Netaji Subash Sports Complex, Jasola heretoday. Ashok Kumar opened score 1-0 in 3rd minute while Mandeep Singh completed tally 2-0 in34th minute. IAF have secured 7 points from 3 games while Youngsters FC have 3 points in 3 matches.

Later on, Moonlight FC came from behind to hold Shastri FC to a 1-1 draw to share equal points. Shastri's Ajay Bartwal opened score 1-0 in 10th minute while Moonlight's Khushi equalised score 1-1 in 31st minute. Shastri have 4 points in 3 matches while Moonlight have 5 points from 3 games.

28.11.2013: SOCCER :DLF- ONGC-DSA ANNUAL 'A' DIVISION FOOTBALL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP-2013 - DAY - 28

Young Boys Football Club were held to a goalless draw by Frontier FC in a round-robin super league match of the : DLF-ONGC-–DSA ANNUAL 'A' Division open clubs super league championship - 2013 being held at DDA Netaji Subhash Sports Complex, Jasola heretoday. Young Boys were unlucky not to encash easy dozen goal- mouth opportunities came in their way. Rock Hudson and Nikhil Sharma's powerful shot from top of the box hit the bar.

Frontier's lads too were nearer to dangerous area but every time they were trapped in off-side position. Young Boys collected 4 points from 3 matches while Frontier earned their first point from 3 games. Earlier in another match, Indian Air Force (Palam) and Moonlight were also engaged in a tame goalless exchange. No serious attempts were made by either side through-out the proceedings. Both teams have 4 points each from two games.

Shastri Football Club scored a 2-1 win over Youngsters F C. Shastri football clubs Mahender and Adil scored in the 7th and 27th respectively, while Krishna from Youngsters scored in the 57th minute. In another match Munlit beat Young Boys 1-0. Kushark scored the winning goal in the 18th minute.

21.11.2013: SOCCER :DLF- ONGC-DSA ANNUAL 'A' DIVISION FOOTBALL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP-2013 - DAY - 26


Former champions-Indian Air Force (Palam) will open its campaign against Frontier FC in the inaugral match of the round-robin super-six league of the DLF-ONGC-Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) Annual Open Clubs Football League Championship-2013 scheduled to commence on Sunday, November 24 at CWG Village Sports Complerx, Akshardham.

Six qualified super league tems out of the preliminary stage will vie for the top honours of this year's championship. The tems qualified from three preliminary groups are IAF ( Palam-16 points ), Young Boys FC-15 points), Shastri FC, Youngsters FC, Moonlight FC and Frontier FC - all having 14 points ).

The top two teams of the super league will get promotion to senior division from next year legue. DLF-ONGC, two premier organisations. Meanwhile the last match of three bottom placed teams to decide relgation fom 'A' Division will be played between Young Sports and Ashoka FC will also be held on Nov.24 at 1.15 pm at CWG Complex, Akshardham.

Both teams have 3 points ech while the third outfit Rohini FC drew blank from 2 matches. The two bottom teams will be relegated to 'B' division from next yer legue

oung Sports Football Club scored a 3-0 fluent win over Rohini FC in bottom placed 3 tems play-off relation match of the DLF-ONGC-Delhi Soccer Association Annual 'A' Division Clubs Football Championship-2013 held today at CWG Village Sports Complex, Akshardham Young Sports' inside-right Sameer scored a brace in 20th and 30th minute while Kanise struck 2-0 in 27th minute. Rohini FC tasted their second straight defeat.

Earlier yesterday they lost to Ashoka FC 2-4. Young Sports next meets Ashoka Fc for relegation match. Two bottom teams will face demotion to 'B' division from next year's league.

Ashoka Football Club erned their maiden victory when they defeated Rohini FC 4-2 at CWG Complex, Akshardham today in a play-off match held amongst three bottom placed teams of the preliminary league of the DLF - ONGC - Delhi Soccer Association ( DSA ) Annual 'A Division Open Clubs Football League Championship-2013 which was completed yesterday to set stage for qualification of six teams for super-six league from three preliminary league groups.

The qualified teams are Indian Air Force ( Palam), Young Boys FC from group-I, Shastri, Youngsters FC (group- II),and Moonlight FC & Frontier FC ( group-III ). Ashoka's scorers were Dipanshu (4th minute). Bidhur (10th and 55th minute ), Manan (37th minute). Rohini's scorers were Harish n( 45th) and Adhikai ( 47th minute).

17.11.2013: SOCCER :DLF- ONGC-DSA ANNUAL 'A' DIVISION FOOTBALL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP-2013 - DAY - 24

Young Boys Football Club qualified from group-I preliminary league to defeat Uttrakhand FC by 3-2 in a crucial well-contested encounter to gain three vital points. Youn Boys needed a must win or a draw in today's match to make it to the super league and they succded following a well deserving victory. over spirited Uttrakhand who needed a sure win. They tried their best despite trailing 0-2 at one time.

Young Boys completed their engagements by getting 15 points from 6 matches while Uttrakhand finished with 9 points from 6 games. The other team to make it to super-six league from the group was Indian Air Force (Palam) securing 16 points from 6 matches. Young Boys took 1-0 lead through former Delhi captain Hitender Singh Bisht who pened the score 1-0 in 31st minute.

On changing ends, Hitender Singh Bisht made it 2-0 37th minute. Down by 0-2, Uttrakand FC shot back with a spirites games through their medios who made solo run from both flanks to demolish rivals defence to level score 2-2 through Pransto (55th minute) and Deepesh ( 57th ninute). Young Boys winning 3-2 goal came in 64th minute through L. Malik Later on, in another group- II match, Shastri FC took advantage of depleted Friends United FC, who only were able to field 8 players initially and lost to their strong rivals Shastri 5-1 to make it to the super six league. Shastri scorers were Adil, Sheldom( 2 goals), Sagar, Shorabh in 1st, 5th, 8th, 11th, 20th minute. Friends United's Varun Juneja reduced margin 1-5 in 35th minute.

In group- Shastri completed their engagements by securing 14 points from 6 games while United collected 7 points. Later on in group-III match, Victory defeted Delhi Students FC 3-2. Victory's Ajay Singh scored a hat-trick in 5th, 28th and 57th minute. Students'Jeevan and Nikhil reduced margin 2-3 in 30th and 47th minute.

With the completion of preliminary league matches, the stage is set for super- six league. The teams qualifed for super-six legue are Indian Air Force ( Palam )-16 points and Young Boys FC - 15 points from group-I, Shastri and Youngsters Fc - 14 points each from group-II, Moonlight FC and Frontiers FC 14 points each fronm group-III. The super-six league is like;y to commence from November 24 onwards following availability of the ground as CWG Complex is booked for forthcoming Delhi Assembly Poll.

Indian Air Force (Palam) defeted Garhwal Diamond FC defeated Garhwal Diamond FC 3-2 in group- I preliminary legue match of the DLF-ONGC-Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) Annual 'A' Division Open Clubs Football League Championship-20134 at CWG Village, sports Complex, Akshardham heretoday. IAF 's scorers were Mandeep (15th), Kiran Kanwar (27th) and Rahul Gupta ( 65th moinute ) while Garhwal Diamondd's scorers were Anil Patel ( 7th) and Rahul thapa (28th minute).

In another same group match, Roal Rangers FC scored a 6-0 big victory over Shoka FC to collect three points. Ashoka FC lost all their six matches. Rangers' scorers were (Christopher 1st and 29th minute), C. S. Iyer (20th and 57th minute ), Peter han (42nd) and Shyamal (54th minute).

New Delhi, Ajmal FC came from behind to hold Rohini FC in group-III preliminary legue match of the DLF-ONGC-Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) Annual ' A' Division Open Clubs Football Legue Championship-2013 at CWG Village. Sports Complex, heretoday. Rohini took 1-0 leadin 59th minute through Arun Bisht while Ajmal's Tushar equalised 1-1 in 65th mintue. Both teams earned one point each. In another match, Victory hold Frontier FC to a goalless draw to split one point each.

Earlier, a two minute silence was observed in memories of former Delhi State footballer, administrator and senior division Ahbab Football secretary-Abdul Quadoos who passed away this morning at his residence in Jafarabad, East Delhi following a brief illness. He was buried this-after-noon at New Jafarabad Qabristan.

A large number of DSA officials including sports lovers were present in his last rites. Meanwhile, AIF Vice-president and DSA vice-president Subhash Chopra, MLA and its managing committee members expressed their heart-felt condolences. He was 62 years old and was recently retired as an Inspector from Employees State Insurance Corporation.

He had represented Delhi State in the Senior National Football Championship for Santosh trophy on many occasions. He was the founder Secretary of Dr. Zakir Hussain Memorial Football Tournament being held annually in New Delhi.

Moonlight Football Club qualified for super-six round-robin league of the DLF-ONGC-Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) Annual 'A' Division Open Clubs Football League Championship-2013 defeatinf former champions-New Delhi Heroes FC 2-0 in group-III league match at CWG Village Sports Complex, Akshardham. Moonlight completed their engagements by collecting 7 points from 7 matches while ND Heroes collected 10 points from 7 games.

Moonlight's scorers were Naman (46th minute) and Khushand (70th Minute). Later on, in a inconseuental game, ND Heroes bowed out of this year's championship. Delhi Cantt. scored a lone goal victory over Delhi Students. Shivam scored in 10th minute. Delhi Cantt. collected 10 points from 7 matches while Delhi Students finished with 7 points.

Frontier Football Club scored a lone goal (1-0 ) shocking victory over favourits Moonlight FC in group-III preliminary league match to make it to super-six round-robin league of the DLF-ONGC-Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) Annual 'A Division Open Clubs Football League Championship- 2013 being held at DDA Netaji Subhash Sports Comple, Jasola. North-east recruit Namgyal clinched match winning goal in 43rd mintue.

Frontier collected 13 points from 6 matches while Moonlight have 11 points from 6 matches. Shastri FC defeated Young Sports 3-0 in group-II at CWG Comp;ex, Akshardham Scorers were Mahender (10th minute), Ajasy Bartwal (43rd and 54th minute). Shastri have 8 points from 4 matches while Young Spors drew blank from 5 games. In group- II also at CWG, Youngsters FC defeated Royal FC 2-0.

Krishna Anthony (50th) and Uma Shankar (55th Minyte) were the scorers. Youngsters have 11 points from 5 matches while Royal have 1 point from 4 matches. In group-III at CWG Complex, Delhi Cantt. scored a 3-0 stunning win over New Delhi Heroes FC. Scorers were Shivam (2 goals-14th minute), Vaara ( 26th minute). In group- III at DDA, Jasola, Victory FC scored a 3-0 important victory over Rohini FC. Suit Kumar, Manish Negi and Pankaj Mehta were the scorers. Victory have 6 points from 5 matches while Rohini have 4 points from 6 games. In group-III also at CWG Comple, Delhi Students were held to a goalless draw by Ajmal FC to share equal points. Young Boys Football Club recorded their fourth straight win defeating Cosmos FC in group-I to qualify for the super-six round robin league of the DLF-ONGC-Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) Annual 'A' Division Open Clubs Football League Championship-2013 at CWG Village Sports Complex heretoday Amrit opened score 1-0 in 27th minute while Rock Hudson completed tally 2-0 in 65th minute. Young Boys is leading with 121 points from 4 matches while Cosmo have 3 points from 5 games. Indian Air Force (Palam) scored a 3-1 crucial victory over recently demoted Royal Rangers FC to earn three full points in group-I at DDA Jasola Air Force took 1-0 lead in the 7th minute through Ajay. Mandeep increased lead 2-0 in 10th minute while ASHOK Struck 3-0 IN 22nd. Royal Rangers reduced margin 1-3 through Chistopher in 59th minute. IAF hasve 10 points from 4 matches while Royal Rangers have 6 points from 4 matches.

In group-II at CWG, Akshardham, Collegians FC defeated Friends United FC 1-0. to collect three important points. Inside-left Joseph John clinched the match winning goal i9n 15th minute. Collegians have 10 points from 4 matches, Friends United have 7 points from 5 matches.

In another match of group-I at DDA, Jasola, Uttrakhand scored a 4-0 victory over Ashoka FC. Scorers were Prtanshto ( 25th Minute), Dishant Negi (22nd,30th and 60th minute ). Uttrakhand have 8 points from 4 matches, Ashoka drew blank from 5 matches.

Young Boys Football (under the agies of United Football Society) scored a 2-0 facil win over favourits strong outfit-Royal Rangers FC, who were demoted to this division from senior division from last session ) in group-III preliminary league match of the DLF-ONGC-Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) Annual 'A ' division football league championship-2013 being held at CWG Village Sports Complex, Akshardham heretoday.

Young Boys have collected 6 points from 2 games while Royal Rangers drew blank The highlight of this match was a fine brace scored by striker Nikhil Sharma, after a barren initial half proceedings., who struck in 38th and 46th mintue. Young Boy's Rahul received yellow card following infringement. Later on in group III, Frontiers FC rode on a last mintue goal scored by Mohd. Aqib who struck in 78th mintue to defet spirited Delhi Cantt. to registered its second successive victory. Frontiers have 6 points from 2 matches while Delhi Cantt. have 3 points from 2 games.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Soccer Association ( DSA ) has re-scheduled the timings of league matches from Monday onwards to adjust the Delhi Under- 14 Boys selection trials - cum - coaching camp to select Delhi team for participation in forth-coming AIFF Football Championshp being held at Kalyani ( West Bengal ). The camp probables now report at CWG Comples at 3. 00 pm instead of 1.00 pm.

Moonlight Football Club came from behind to beat favourits Delhi SAtudents FC 2-1 to collec three full points in group-III preliinary league match of the DLF-ONGC-Delhi Soccer Association 'A' division open clubs football league championship- 2013 being held at DDA Netaji Subhash Sports Complex, Jasola here today.

Delhi Students opened score 1-0 in 20th mintue of the intial half proceedings through Rizwan Khan. On Changing ends, Moonlight levelled score 1-1 in 54th mintue through Raman and completed tally 2-1 in 57th mintue through Kushanik. Moonlight have 8 points from 4 matches while Delhi Students have 9 points from 4 matches.

In anopther match of group- II, Friends United FC defeated Young Sports 5-2. Friends United scorers were Varun 2 goals in 8th, 18th and Akshay, Abhishek and Nirbhay one goal each in 30th, 58th and 59th mintue respectively, Young Sports reduced margin 2-5 through Sidhant Aggarwal's brace in 38th and 48th mintue. Royal Rangers have 3 points from 2 matches while Garhwal Diamond have 4 points from 3 matches.

Christopher (2 goals-in 12th, 14th mintue), Ilyash( 37th & 67th ), C. S. Iyer (69th ) and Garhwal Diamond's Paulla Kuki ( 65th mintue) were the scorers. Earlier, the championship was inaugurated by former DSA Secretary and Vice-president N.K.Bhatia. In inaugural match of the championship, newly promoted Delhi Students Football Club scored a 1-0 upset victory over former champions-New Delhi Heroes FC to earn three points.

In an an equally exchanged encounter, Delhi Students took an early match winning goal when inside-left Jeevan Geroge struck 1-0 in 3rd mintue of the initial half proceedings off a defensive lapse. N.D. Heroes lads mounted heavy pressure against their spirited opponents but failed to avail the goal- scoring opportunities came in their way in the fag end of the match. Rizwan Khan J. No.10) of Delhi Students FC received yellow card following an infringment.

Later on in another match of group-III, another newly promoted Victory Football Club came from behind to hold mighty Moonlight FC 1-1 to share equal points. DSA PRESS RELEASE : Twenty top affiliated clubs will vie for top honours in the annual DLF-ONGC-Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) Football Championship-2013 scheduled to commence from Sunday, October 20 at DDA CWG Sports Complex, Akshardham.

A keen tussle is on cards when twenty (20) top affiliated clubs will vie for top honours in the annual DLF-ONGC-Delhi Soccer Association (DSA ) Football League Champions - 2013 scheduled to commence from Sunday, October 20 at DDA CWG Sports Complex, Akshardham.

The highlight of this years.s league will be that apart from local recruits many outstation and foreign national players will be seen in action, As many as seventy (70) outstation players had sought inter-state transfers from states like West Bengal, Goa, Punjab, Haryana, U.P, Uttrakhand, Jharkhand, North-East, Odisha etc.

in the 1st window of All India Football Federation (AIFF ) Inter- State transfers of players. Three (3) foreign national can be registered but only two players are eligible to play. The groupings of participating teams were decided by draw of lots in the club secretaries meeting held in DSA office on September 30. The teams have been divided in three groups at the preliminary stage which are as :

Group - A : Royal Rangers FC, IAF (Palam), Young Boys FC, Utrakhand FC, Garhwal Diamond, Ashoka FC, Cosmos FC. Group - B : Shastri FC, Young Sports, Royal FC, Collegians FC, Bangadarshan FC, Friends United, Youngsters FC. Group - C -: N. D. Heroes FC, Moonlight FC, Delhi Cantt. FC, Frontier FC, Ajmal FC, Rohini FC, Victory FC, Delhi Students FC

The two top teams of each preliminary league group will qualify for super six league. Top two teams of super six league will be promoted to Senior Division league from next season. Meanwhile, the Delhi Soccer Association (DSA ) has constituted a league sub - committee headed by H. V. Chauhan as chairman, Magan Singh Patwal as convenor for smooth conduct of the league.

27.01.2014 (FINAL DAY) : Newly promoted Indian National Football Club emerged champios of the DLF-ONGC-Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) Annual Senior Division Open Clubs Football League Championship-2013/14 after defeating Solutrean- Bonjour Hindustan FC 2-1 in the last round- robin super league hard-fought match held at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium heretoday.

Indian National needs a must win as they completed their engagements by collecting 17 points from 7 matches while defending champions-IOCL Garhwal Heroes were already sitting comfortably with 16 points. Garhwal Heroes thus retained runners-up title. Hindustan FC finished with 13 points to obtain 3rd place. Tarun Sangha got 4th place by getting 9 points.

National took 1-0 lead in 3rd minute through Lalnun thara. Hindustan equalised 1-1 in 48th minute through Ajay Bartwal. In the fag eNd of the match i.e. in 90th minute National clinched the match winning 2-1 goal through Vikram. Indian National received cash prize of Rupees one lac fifty thousand and DLF-ONGC-Excellence winners trophy.

National is leading the table with 9 points from 3 matches while Delhi United have 3 points from 3 games. In the initial half goalless proceedings, both teams had an equal goal scoring opportunities but initially National's defender nigerian Frank cleared from goal - line Sikkim recruit- Don Lepcha's fine effort from close. 19.12.2013 (DAY - 4 ): DLF-ONGC-DSA ANNUAL SENIOR DIVISION OPENS CLUBS FOOTBALL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP-2013-Defending Champions-Garhwal Heroes FC and Indian National FC wins Defending champions-Garhwal Heroes Football Club trounced Shimla Youngs FC 6-0 to earn three full points in group-A preliminary league match of the DLF-ONGC-Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) Annual Senior Division Open Clubs Football League Championship-2013 being held at CWG Village Sports Complex, Akshardham heretoday.

The highlight of this match was a fine four goal scoring by inside left nigerian recruit Musa Kamara, including first hat-trick of the championship. He struck in 1st, 35th, 47th and 54th minute of the proceedings. Devender scored 2-0 in 25th minute while another nigerian Bala Ashan 4-0 in 42nd minute.

Garhwal Heroes have 3 points from 2 matches while Shimla Youngs drew blank in 2 games. In another match of group-1, Indian National FC registered their second successive win by outclassing Ahbab FC 3-0.

At initial half proceedings, both teams were tied-up goalleszs. On changing ends, former champions- City FC took 1-0 lead in the 45th minute through nigerian recruit inside-left Christian Offer who tapped the ball inside from top of the box. The other nigerian player Allanmwanda completed tally 2-0 in 66th minute. City collected three [points from its opening tie.

Later on in another match of same group-mighty Soultrean- Hindustan Club, despite having state national players like Rishi Kapur, Puspender Kundu, Rasjat guha, Prasant Jaggi , Deepak Mehra and foreign national D. D. In a listless encounter, both teams failed to creat any good moves through-out the proceedings.

In the closing stages Delhi FC mounted heavy pressure but forwards muffed easy goal scoring chances. Punjab Heroes winning goal came in the 38th minute through Kartikey Swarup following opponents' defenders lapses. Earlier in group-A match, Ahbab FC came from behind to hold moghty Tarun Sangha FC to a 1-1 draw to share one point each.

At initialhalf proceedings, National led 1-0 through inside-left Dilly Ram who put his side 1-0 in 8th minute. On changing ends Garhwal Heroes levelled score 1-1 in 71st minute. Sanjeev scored 2-1 winning goal for winners in the 73rd minute.

Later on in another match of group-A, former champions-Delhi United FC scored a 1-0 victory over Shimla Youngs FC to earn three points. The wiining goal was scored by former Delhi state captain Bhuvan Joshi in the 30th minute. '

FOURTEEN (14) Top clubs will be vying for top honours in Delhi League.

16.12.2013: Defending Champions - Garhwal Heroes Football Club will open their campaign against Indian National FC in the inaugural match of the DLF-ONGC-Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) Annual Senior Division Open Clubs Football League Championship- 2013 scheduled to commence from tomorrow, December 16 at CWG Village Sports Complex, Aksharfham.

The kick-off will be at 12. 45 pm. In the second match of the day, runners-up Goodwill FC will take on Shimla Youngs FC at 2.45 p.m.

Fourteen (14) affiliated clubs, vying for top honours in the championship, have : ANNUAL SENIOR DIVISION OPEN CLUBS FOOTBALL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP-2013-have been divided in two groups of seven teams each. The championship will be played on knock-out- cum- round robin league. The four teams of each group will qualify for super-eight round-robin league.

The grouping of participating teams were deceided in the presence of club secretaries meeting held recentlt. The groupings are :-

Group- A : Garhwal Heroes, Delhi United, IAF (New Delhi), Tarun Sangha, Ahbab, Shimla Youngs, Indian National FC
Group- B : Goodwill FC, ONGC-Delhi FC, National United Sporting FC, Solutrean - Hindustan FC, Youngmen SC, City FC, Punab Heroes FC.

As many as 399 players including sixty (60) outstation players of Kolkata, Goa, Mumbai, Manipur, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Kerala, etc, and international players of Uzbakistan, Brazil, Nigeria etc. who took transfers in the AIFF Inter-State transfers will be star action in the more than two month affairs. Three foreign national players including Asia origin are eligible to play in the competition.

Champions will be awarded cash prize of Rupees one lac fifty thousand
Runners- up will fetch rupees seventy-five thousand.
3rd and 4th placed teams will receive rupees fifity and fourty thousand respectively.
Best disciplined team will be awarded Dharamvira fair play trophy
The best four players will receive cash prize of five thousand each.
