The star striker of Uruguay Luis Suarez are suspended by the disciplinary committee of FIFA for his altercation with the Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini in the last Group League match. Suarez is being banned for nine official matches and four months including penalized monetarily (100,00 Swiss Franc) for biting the Italian defender at the 80th minute of the match inside the Italian penalty box when the score was locked at goalless. Sources said that the Liverpool star Suarez will not be allowed to enter any football stadium and restricted from any football related activities.

Luis Suarez is regarded as having breached art.48, para 1 lit. d of the FIFA Disciplinary Code and art. 57 of the FDC (an act of unsporting behavior towards another player). While interacting with the media Claudio Sulser, the chairman of the FIFA disciplinary committee, said, "Such behavior cannot be tolerated on any football pitch, and in particular not at a FIFA World Cup when the eyes of millions of people are on the stars on the field."

It's not the first time Suarez has found himself in this position. In 2010, he was banned for seven matches while playing with Ajax in the Dutch League and suspended for biting PSV Eindhoven attacking midfielder Otman Bakkal. Ajax suspended him for two games and fined him an undisclosed amount

His 2nd incidents occured in 2013, in Liverpool's 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Anfield. This resulted in a ten-match ban for Suarez. Suarez bit Chelsea defender Brainslav Ivanovic. There were claims that Suarez apologized to Ivanovic, but the Chelsea defender rejected the apology.
