FIFA have confirmed the four candidates that will contest the presidency of the world footballing body. Sepp Blatter, who has been in the role since 1998, faces competition for the position from vice-president Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, former Portugal international Luis Figo and chairman of the Dutch Football Association (KNVB) Michael van Praag.
FIFA has extended its media rights agreements in USA & Canada for its tournaments until 2026. FIFA announced Thursday. FOX adds the rights to the U.S. English-language coverage of the 2026 World Cup to its existing agreement for the 2018 and '22 events. The 2023 Women's World Cup is part of the contract as well.

Chelsea and Belgium winger Eden Hazard has signed a new five and a half year contract to keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2021.The Belgium international has been rewarded by the club who he moved to from Lille in 2012. He was named the 2013/14 PFA Young Player of the Year, and has continued his fine form into the season with thirteen goals in all competitions.
After the win against Sunderland, Chris Ramsey is expected to be named manager of QPR for this season.Former Tottenham head coach Tim Sherwood and ex-Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup have both been ruled out of the running, and it appears current caretaker boss Chris Ramsey could be the man to replace Harry Redknapp.

Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric is expected to resume training within three weeks following a lengthy spell out through injury. The Croatian has been sidelined since rupturing a thigh muscle in his country's Euro 2016 qualifier against Italy on November 18.
Manchester City's Argentine striker Sergio Aguero again suffered a back injury during their wednesday night's premier league game against Stock City. Though this injury is not serious, according to his comment on twitter.
Didier Deschamps has signed a new contract with the French national team, keeping him in charge of Les Bleus until 2018. The 46-year-old replaced Laurent Blanc after Euro 2012 and helped guide the 1998 World Cup winners to the last eight in Brazil last year. The coach will continue to be assisted by deputies Guy Stephan and Franck Raviot throughout the duration of his new deal.
In early April 1961, the top-division Chilean soccer team Green Cross piled into a fixed-wing propeller plane headed home for the country's capital, Santiago. They had just played an away game in the Copa de Chile, Chile's domestic soccer cup. Then, somewhere over the Andes mountains, the plane crashed. All 24 passengers including eight team members — were presumed dead, and the wreckage remained missing for 54 years. Now, Chilean mountaineers say they have found passengers' bones and the plane's mutilated remains, its propeller buried in stone, some 215 miles from Santiago. The discovery solves a decades-old South American mystery.
