The team is now fresh from a 2-1 win in the Calcutta League in the midweek and Eelco Schattorie, the gaffer of the side also conceded that he wants three points from this match.

"Obviously i want 3 points. If we have a little chance for championship, we need to win this match," he told before the match. He also praised the performance of Baldeep Singh, who scored a brace in the last match along with Sheikh Azim, who came in from Mohammedan only a few days ago.

"In the last match (cfl), especially Baldeep as a striker and the defender who came from Mohammedan impressed me. You can say it's an impulse but goalkeeper problem still a concern for us," he further elucidated. The coach also confirmed that he has a full squad in hand, other than the injured Eric Brown. "No card issue. I just have some hesitation to put Eric as he has same ankle injury," He signed off.

Coach Eelco Schattorie said, We took only one defender on the bench so we go for full attack. Baldip as a striker I wanted to try for long time but was not able too. Last kolkata league game he did well. Played a little similar like Kanye Vincent & hope baldip can give some positive impulse to the team. Ranti. Eric players with injury but we take the risk. We have to be very carful for counter attacks and adapting to the heat here in Goa.

Probable Squad : Abhijit, deepak, hasan, bello, dhana, Asif, souvik, Lalkamal, Eric, Ranti, baldip.

Dempo having triumphed in Kolkata over a weak Mohun Bagan side will come into the game tomorrow with defenders Samir Naik and Honda out with injuries including Brazilian set piece architect, Beto. Lajong on the other hand will still be without striker Uilliams Souza Silva (hairline fracture heel) and Cornell Glen will also miss the game due to suspension after picking up four yellows this season so far. Meanwhile the condition of Lajong captain Minchol Son will also have to be assessed as he is not a hundred percent fit.

Dempo captain Clifford Miranda was also present at the press conference and said that he would like his team to 'finish on a high going into the break'. He also added that they were a 'young team under a lot of transition” and a win would boost their confidence. Shillong Lajong FC have maintained a good run at home having been unbeaten in 6 consecutive I-League games and they are 4th in the table with 20 points from 14 games. Dempo SC however are 9th in the position having collected 16 points from 14 games.
