Currently Bangaluru FC can be reckoned as the most professional Football Club in India with the required infrastructure prescribed by the AFC. Bangaluru FC were leading by Shean Rooney's goal in the first session, though it was a sensational proceedings in the later half. Rooney converted in the second minute of the match following a square pass from Robin Singh. It was surprising to see that both the Bangaluru strikers were totally unmarked as the two central defenders of Dempo Colasima and Amiri were not in their position.

Dempo created pressure in the second session leading by Beto as the Goan team scored twice, but Bangaluru rely on the counter attacks and capitalized the opportunities as Robin, Jonny and Sunil Chetri increased the margin in Bangaluru's favor. The strategy of Arthur Papas failed as he opted for a young upfront comprises of Holycharan and Mandar Rao Desai in the starting line up. The duo failed to create any impact in the Bangaluru central defense. In the second session the inclusion of Allwyn Gorge worked, as at this stage of the match the Dempo's attacking force really kept Bangaluru FC under pressure.

Beto scored off a free kick from top of the box and Romeo Fernandez narrowed the margin 2-3 from inside the 18 yards. Bangaluru is a city of football fanatics which produced a number of top class footballers in the past. A football club of Bangaluru, Indian Telephone Industries were the champions of the 1st Federation Cup in the opening year in 1977 when they beat Mohun Bagan by a solitary goal in the final. Though ITI had withdraw their football team long back. Today a large number of Bangaluru supporters turned up at the Jawharlal Nehru Stadium to cheer up a baby who proved it's dominance in Indian Football.
