I-LEAGUE 2014-15 : Who will win I-League 2014-15: Battle of Bengaluru FC and Mohun Bagan tomorrow
BANGALURU ARE READY FOR THE BATTLE OF TITANS
30.05.2015: The countdown begins, as the decisive match of the current edition of I League between Mohun Bagan and the defending champions Bangaluru FC, are going to be kick off at the Garden City of Bangaluru on the 31st evening. The enthusiasm mounting high in Kolkata as well as in Bangaluru as these two top teams in the I League table are eager to win I League crown at the Kantiveera stadium. Mohun Bagan, the league leaders are in an advantageous position as they are on 38 points from 19 matches needs a point for the tittle. But, it is a must win situation for Bangaluru FC as they are on 36 points, requires three valuable points on Sunday evening to register their second successive I League triumph.
Mohun Bagan are having a dream run in the I League after a long time. Sanjay Sen, the Mohun Bagan coach could be complimented as he is successful enough to co ordinate Bagan as a unit. While interacting with the media Sanjay Sen said “We will play for a win. If we play with a defensive mindset then we have already lost the battle before it has begun. Committing bodies behind the ball is bound to leak goals and that is something we will not do. We will adapt an attacking approach and see how it pans out.” Sanjay himself are in front of a historic landmark. If Mohun Bagan wins, Sanjay will in the list of the successful Indian coaches who has the honor of winning the I League - Subash Bhowmick, Subrata Bhattacharjee, Armando Colaco, Shabbir Ali, T.K.Chatuni ,Manoranjan Bhattacherjee and Sukbinder Singh.
Bangaluru FC ended their AFC Cup mission when they face a defeat against South China of Hongkong in the pre quarter final. In spite of that Asthley Westwood feels that his boys are ready for the Sunday evening to fight for the second successive I League tittle. It will be a match of strategies on Sunday evening. Suddhashil Ghosh ,a member of Bengaluru based Mohun Bagan Fan club "MARINERS @ BENGALORE" said that almost seven thousand spectators will going to cheer for Mohun Bagan on Sunday evening. A block in the stadium is completely booked for the Mohun Bagan fans. The demand for the tickets are high as the organizers said that a full house Kantiveera will witness the clash of the Titans. Will Bangaluru FC repeats the history or it will be Mohun Bagan, who are on the verge of a landmark after fourteen years.
