THE LEAGUE LEADERS TO PLAY THE DEFENDING CHAMPIONS



The defending champions Bangaluru FC will meet against the League leaders Royal Wahingdoh in an important match of I League at Jawharlal Nehru Stadium, Shillong. Royal Wahingdoh are having a dream run in the league as they had won all the three matches they had played so far.On the other hand Bangaluru FC are yet to register a win in I league after their Federation Cup trimph.

In a pre match press conference at Shillong , Bangaluru FC coach Astley Westwood said, "The mood's good as is the morale. If you look at the last nine games, it's just two that we've lost. It's not disastrous form. It's just that our two losses have been compounded because they are back to back. There’s no reason to be down and not confident. We are I-League and Federation Cup champions."

Royal Wahingdoh, the at the top of the League table with 9 points from 3 matches has showcased an example of improvised performance. Santosh Kashyap boys not only bagged three points at the Shillong Derby, they also won the match against Salgaokar at Goa in their last encounter. The Royal Wahingdoh coach Santosh Kashyap in the pre match media meeting said, "It is an excellent beginning for us and we have been playing some good football.

Bengaluru may have not had the best start but that doesn't mean they are easy opponents. We all know the kind of set up they have. Also, they are coming on the back of a Federation Cup win so it's going to be tough on Saturday.

Though Bangaluru FC are yet to register a win at Shillong since their entry in Indian Football, but it is the must win situation for them on Saturday in order to come back in the tournament.
