29th July Mohun Bagan Day : 100 years celebration of IFA Shield Win in 1911.

Families of nine of the 'Immortal eleven' of Mohun Bagan historic IFA Shield win, were present at the programme organised at the club tent as Honble Governor of West Bengal Mr. M.K. Narayanan paid glowing tributes to Mohun Bagan. I the speech Narayanan said that he was an avid fan of Mohun Bagan from his child hood and watched regularly the match against arch rival of the city East Bengal. the IFA Shield final victory on July 29, 1911, had stirred the entire nation then fighting to shake off British rule.

The "Special Cover" of 100 years of glorious winning post card duly authorized by the Department of Posts, Ministry of Communication & Information Technology, Government of India, was released by H.E. Mr. M.K. Narayanan, Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal.

Eldest daughter, Rama Guha and grandson, Biplab Guha took Mohun Bagan Ratna - Abhilash Ghosh

Besides the other programmes, three exhibition matches played in the club ground today where ex- Mohun Bagan Footballers like Chuni Goswami, Sailen Manna, Arumoy Naigam, Pranab Ganguly, Sisir Ghosh, Ulganathon, Alok Das, compton Dutta, Pintu Chowdhury, Shibaji Banerjee, Goutam Sarkar, Prasun Banerjee, Prashanta Banerjee, Subhash Bhowmick, Bidesh Bose, Shyam Thapa, Jo Paul Ancheri, I.M. Vijayan etc. were present.
