With the return of Opara East Bengal also returned back to the winning track in the I-League as the Red and Gold brigade today crushed JCT with 3-0 scoreline at home. East Bengal overpowered the away side with flying colours and proved that the show was not over yet.

As East Bengal again back to the title chase the championship fight between Salgaokar, East Bengal and Churchill Brothers became more crucial at this point.

In the first half both the teams played competitive match but in the 28th minute Baljit made the difference in scoreline by putting East Bengal ahead in the match. In the second half East Bengal outnumbered the visitors by an enchanting performance from the entire team especially Baljit in the front and Opara in the back.

Man of the Match Baljit scored the second goal for his team in the 73rd minute while another Punjabi boy Ravinder scored the third goal for East Bengal in the 76th minute to confirm 3-0 win of the Kolkata Giants against JCT the side from Punjab.

This valuable 3 points would be very much crucial for East Bengal in the upcoming title chase.
