Already he started to develop and uplift the football talents of his home town Bashirhat, District of North 24 Parganas, West Bengal. Dipendu Biswas, one of the best Bengali strikers in Bengal and Indian Football who hailed from Bashirhat once started his football career in his local club New Bani Sangha-Badartala, Bashirhat.

Dipendu scored 243 goals so far in his career in three big clubs of Kolkata - East Bengal, Mohun Bagan and Mohammedan SC along with Mahindra United, Bengal and Indian National Team. The most popular players Dipendu is the ideal of his local footballers who are playing football in New Bani Sangha.

But Mithu, Nick name of Dipendu, who is now a famous striker of India, does not forget his local club as he always thinking how to develop his own club New Bani Sangha. From raising of the fund to advice for the coaching of the boys Dipendu is still working for his local club, every day.

On 14th August 2013 New Bani Sangha will play an exhibition Football match against Kolkata Giant Mohammedan Sporting Club at Bashirhat BSSA Stadiu. In this regards A press conference held today at Bashirhat PHE Bunglow where the New Bani Sangha Club Mentor Dipendu Biswas announced that the match will start at 3.30 PM where the ticket price will be Rs. 20/- (Twenty).

In the press meet, other than Dipendu Biuswas, President and Secretary of the Club Nilu Ghosh and Rasugopal Hazra were present. On behalf of New Bani Sangha Football Coaching Camp, The coaches of all age groups Sujoy Mandol, Subir Bhowmick, Parag Mitra and the Managers Biswajit chakrabarty, Arun Ghosh, Achyanta Haldar and Sujoy Dey also present.

East Bengal Club will observe sports day on 13th of August in memory of their ex-general secretary Dipak (Poltu Das).

JAYDIP DaSGUPTA : East Bengal Club will observe sports day on 13th of August in memory of their ex-general secretary Dipak (Poltu Das). 13th of August is the 74th birthday of Poltu Das. The club has scheduled various programme all through the day which is divided into 3 parts.

The flag of the club will be hosted at 10 am in the morning which will be followed by blood donation and health check up camp.

In the afternoon at 3.30 pm a friendly football match will be played between ex-footballers and the artist forum. Bikas Panji has been given the responsibility to organize the match. The main programme is scheduled in the club premises at 5.30 pm in the evening where the sports minister Mr. Madan Mitra will be the chief guest. The ex-captain of east Bengal late Ashok Lal Banerjee will be awarded with Poltu Das memorial Trophy.

Alike every year this year also EB club has decided to award best prospects of 2012-13 one each from first to 5th division.

The awardees are :
1st division: Milan Hazra- Wing Half(Barisha Sporting)
2nd division: Debnath Pakrey-Midfielder (CFC)
3rd Division Kader mondal –Midfielder (Behala Youth)
4th Division: Sumit Roy-Stopper (United Students)
5th Division: Sujoy Mondal- striker (WB Deaf & Dump)
These footballers will be honored with complete football kit.
Footballs will be distributed among the varous Football Coaching camps of Kolkata. This year Poltu Das memorial lecture will be given by Prof. Susantha Banerjee. He was an ex-secretary, Dept. of Family welfare.

A 20-member Senior Indian National squad landed at the Khujand.

aiff press release : A 20-member Senior Indian National squad landed at the Khujand International Airport on Friday (August 9, 2013). The Indian squad flew to Dushanbe, the Capital of Tajikistan from New Delhi from where they boarded a connecting flight to the second largest City of Tajikistan.

The Tajikistan Football hired a Chartered Flight for the Indian National Team to fly to Khujand from Dushanbe. This was after the Indian Team missed the connecting flight from Dushanbe to Khujand courtesy a four-hour delay at the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

The International Friendly against Tajikistan is slated to be played on August 14 at the 20 Years of Independence Stadium in Khujand. The kick-off is slated for 5.30pm (IST).

The final 20-member list is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Karanjit Singh, Sandip Nandy, Subhasish Roychowdhury.

Defenders: Denzil Franco, Nirmal Chettri, Arnab Mondal, Gouramangi Singh, Raju Gaikwad, Sandesh Jhingan.

Midfielders: Mehtab Hossain, Lalrindika Ralte, Arata Izumi, Lenny Rodriguez, Jewel Raja Shaikh.

Dempo SC revealed his youth developments plans for the 2013/2014.

aiff press release : Dempo SC Chairman and All India Football Federation Vice-President Shrinivas Dempo revealed his plans for the 2013/2014 sharing is vision on Youth Development and fanbase mobilization to make this club a people’s team, a Club Release has informed.

"I have always believed that the strength of the Team has remained in the spirit and unity with which they have approached Football," Mr. Dempo said.

"We are still working upon new Ideas and over the next six months we will unveil future plans for the Club".

Along with the resolve to successfully bring back I-League title, Mr. Dempo declared that his prime focus will be to build and develop appropriate structures for Youth Football while identifying and implementing workable plans to utilise the club's support base.

Mr. Dempo observed that Youth Development was critical to the future of Dempo Sports Club and at the time that the Dempo SC- FC Midtjylland (Denmark) Partnership was focusing more on raising an Academy in Goa, management could not have chosen a better plan.

While admitting the delay due to clearances at the Government level, Mr. Dempo expressed his optimism about the academy project.

"Youth Development is one of the critical areas of a club and hence we need to pay utmost attention to it. We will follow a comprehensive, practical and a futuristic plan for the club" said the club Chairman.

On fan development, Dempo Sports Club have begun a mobilisation programme which will look at drafting young people from schools and colleges into the clubs supporters base.
