.. Nelson Mandela, The Legendary World Leader of South Africa who passes away on Thursday at the age of 95. In tribute to former South African leader and former President, a minute's silense held at today's all six Premier League matches including Manchester United against Newcastle. Two EPL mathes on Sunday including Liverpool Vs West Ham, will be among the clubs paying tribute on Saturday While Swansea v Hull on Monday will alos tiribute to the Legendary Leader.

To mark the life and achievements of Nelson Mandela, Football fans in Scotland will also be asked to applaud at games, with similar plans for Football League and FA Cup second-round matches. The English Football League has also asked its clubs to hold a minute's applause ahead of this weekend's games.

Motherwell and Celtic fans held a minute's applause for Mandela before their teams met in the Scottish Premiership at Fir Park.

FIFA said there would be a minute's silence as a mark of respect ahead of the next round of international football matches, while the International Olympic Committee has lowered the Olympic flag for three days in memory of Mandela, South Africa's first black president who has died aged 95.
