Surojit Deb : Argentina to face Columbia tomorrow in the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifier for 2014 Brazil FIA World Cup. Argentina currently top in the South American qualifying group with 24 points from 11 matches, whereas Colombia are third with 19 points in 10 matches. Argentina have won 6 of the last 10 matches between the two sides, including the previous World Cup qualifier in November 2011.

Argentina started good to their qualifying campaign with a 4-1 win over Chile, but they have suffered a couple of setbacks since then, losing 1-0 at Venezuela before then being held 1-1 at home by Bolivia in the last qualifying match held on 23.3.2013. On the other hand Colombia side who have collected four points from their last two qualifiers match and one point behind of Ecuador.

.. Brazil dropped to 22nd place in FIFA's World Ranking, the first time ever Brazil are outside the top 20 places. It's never hapopened to Brzail the 5 times world cup winner. The signal is not good for Brazil just a year before they host next summer's World Cup finals. Meanwhile, in the top 20, Belgium (12th, up 3) and Bosnia-Herzegovina (15th, up 6) have reached their highest-ever position since the introduction of the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking.

The FIFA ranking system starts in 1993 where the average rank on 1993 of Brazil was 3. then from 1994 to 2000 the average ranking of Brazil was no 1 even in 1998 when Brazil was Runners-up in FIFA World Cup.

' in 2001 it went down to average 3. Again brazil won FIFA world Cup 2002 and their rank moved to average no 1 from 2002 and upto 2006 Brazil's average Ranking was 1.
