BOCA JUNIORS OFFICIALLY LAUNCH : FOOTBALL ACADEMY IN INDIA : David Monedero to be National Technical Director

BJFSI PRESS RELEASE : Boca Juniors Football School India (BJFSI), school to one of the premier football clubs in the world, Club Atletico Boca Junior, officially launched their academy in Bangalore today. The BJFSI Academy, which will be the first of its kind in India, was launched by Boca Juniors Football Schools Manager, Francisco Morea. He announced David Moliner Monedero as the National Technical Director for BJFSI.

Mr. Francisco Morea, is very keen to develop football in India in what he sees as a country with limitless potential. "We are extremely excited about this opportunity and are 100% committed to helping develop the football in India. There is so much talent in India with limitless potential that we would like to tap. We want to create a unique experience for all the youngsters. Oscar (Aquino) will oversee the BJFSI and make regular visits to India to ensure we are achieving our objectives.

David is an experienced professional coach and will be a great asset to the BJFSI. He is an expert at identifying and developing young talent. It is this special ability that BJFSI will be employing to unearth the Indian young talents and use his elite-level coaching skills to develop them", added Mr. Francisco Morea.

Boca Juniors plans to take the BJFSI around the country with the first school being launched in Bangalore. BJFSI will run the football academy on an ongoing basis round the year and provide progressive training to the students through weekly classes following Boca Juniors methodology. Additionally, there will be periodic football camps, customized school camps

and corporate training & events. To ensure that the Indian talent receives the 'Boca Juniors Experience', the BJFSI academy kids will also have the opportunity to play in international matches against the other Boca Juniors Schools including visit to the Boca Juniors home stadium in Argentina. In addition the BJFSI academy kids will be part of national and local Oscar Aquino, General Coordinator, Boca Junior Football Schools, commented, "This is a great opportunity for young kids to learn the South American style of football. We are

keen to have the academy run on an ongoing basis rather than limited period camps. It is important to train kids from a young age and on a regular basis. David is a great coach and he will be helped by Indian coaches, all with an AFC license. We want to embed the Boca Juniors values into the youngsters, to prepare them physically, mentally and tactically. But most important of all we want them to enjoy the learning process.'.

David Moliner Monedero, National Technical Director, BJFSI, commented, 'I would like to thank Boca Juniors for giving me this opportunity. Talent is in abundance in India and I will aim at developing the kids with the right skills. Our training team has the required experience to impart football training to the young kids, assess their skill developments and provide individual feedback. Periodic assessments and interaction with students and parents is an integral part of our programs. We will also expose the academy kids nationally and internationally to give them more experience."

July, BJFSI will run their first academy from the International Tech Park Bangalore (ITPB) sports grounds in Whitefield and Play "X" Games facility in Sarjapur. ITPB will also be the centre for the first summer camp which will be held on June 10-14. There will be an exclusive Corporate Camp for the professionals working at ITPB on 18 & 19 June.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Thomas Teo, Ascendas India said "We are happy to partner with Club Atletico Boca Juniors for the corporate football camp at International tech Park Bangalore and excited to see our park employees will get an opportunity to take football lessons from the prestigious club. Himachal Pardesh Football Association is going to organize the ALL INDIA FOOTBALL FESTIVAL at KANGRA & MANDI. In this tegards the General Secretary of Himachal Pardesh Football Association Mr. Deepak Sharma old us that the Football Festival will be divided into two segments where in the first phase the participating teams from HIMACHAL PARDESH teams will be played at the valley KANGRA on 28th June to 1st July 201. In this event 15 teams will participate all over HIMACHAL PARDESH in senior level.

He added that, 2nd phase of the festival of HIMACHAL PARDESH FOOTBALL association will organize in ALL INDIA LEVEL TOURNAMENT AT MANDI on 12 july to 17 july as per league basis. From the 2nd phase, the association will select the 30 boys for the preparation for SANTOSH TROPHY 2014.

Mr Sharma also expected that in the tournament more than 300 footballers will participate. As per their motto HIMACHAL PARDESH IS FIGHTING AGAINST DRUGS. The ASSOCIATION used to organize various tournament of different level and age group across the beautiful state to promote and develop football, right from the grassroots level to professional level. Finally he told that in the closing function of the Festival MR AMIT PAL PRESIDENT OF HIMACHAL PARDESH FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION WILL be the Chief Guest.

2nd National Mini Football Championship 2013 for U19 Boys Category

Rajasthan defeated Uttar Pradesh West 2-0 in the final of the 2nd National Mini Football Championship 2013 for U19 Boys Category to lift the trophy.

In the first half assist given by Virendra Pratap led to a awesome Goal conversion by Abhishek Meena in the 12th Minute and in the 18th Minute of the game, a header on a corner kick by Virendra Pratap Singh could not be stopped by the UP Goal keeper. With this the score was intact till the end and Rajasthasthan lifted the Trophy.

In the U19 Category for Girls the Final was won by West Bengal over Bihar by 3-0. The girls played the best Jaipur crowd has seen for years.

The competitions final was played at Chougan Stadium Ground in Jaipur. Jaipur saw some good football after a long time as players from across the country came to partipate in the Competition. Total 24 Teams in the Boys category and 16 teams in the Girls Category from India participated in the tournament, UP, MP, West Bengal, Bihar, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Haryana, Delhi etc.

The Mini Football Competition will also act as a critical stepping-stone for these young footballers with finalist set to be shortlisted by the All India Mini Football Federation technical committee for the India Under-19 squad and play in Nepal this year representing India.
