JAYDIP DASGUPTA : Two Brilliant saves by Ishan Debnath helped United Sports to share point with Mohun Bagan in an important CFL match at kolkata today. It was in the 13th minute of the first half when the Sabaeeth received a ball from Odafa in the United deep defense went inside the 18 yards, but the United custodian came out in the right time to save what would had been a goal for Bagan. In the 31st minute Odafa after receiving a ball from Katsumi from the left went inside the box, but his shot was well saved by Ishan. In both the occasion the Sabeeth and Odafa had to beat Ishan who was at their mercy.

Apart from these two changes the match did not rise to a great height. In fact both the teams played in the midfield with a numerous wrong passes. Though United had a slightly better ball possession all through the game. Souvik Chakroborty controlled the United midfield proving himself to be a matured footballer in days to come. Souvik not only yield passes in both the flanks but he had helped his deep defense in time of requirement. Karim Bensharifa included Odafa in the first line up. Though the Nigerian is seems to be not fully fit.

Odafa was slow in reacting in some occasions. In the later stages of the second session Ranty Martins shot was saved by Shilton in expense of a corner, who had a easy time under the frame work.

But it was surprising to see the verdictís of referee Subrata Burman. Anupam Sarkar and Kinshuk Debnath should have been asked to march off the field. Referee denied to show any card after Anupam tripped Odafa from behind and Kinshuk Debnath were booked by the yellow card when he tackled Biswajit Biswas from behind.

Mohun Bagan are now leading the CFL super 12 table along with Aryans as both the teams are on 15 points from seven points, but the Mariners are a better goal average which made them the leaders till the end of the seventh round.
