BOCA JUNIORS FOOTBALL SCHOOL JOINS HAND WITH THE BRIGADE SCHOOLS IN BANGALORE

BJFS PRESS RELEASE : Boca Juniors Football School India (BJFSI), school to one of the premier football clubs in the world, Club Atletico Boca Junior, announced their association with The Brigade Schools in Bangalore today to impart Football training as a part of School Curriculum to students of The Brigade Schools across Bangalore.

BJFSI will provide football training to students of The Brigade School at J.P Nagar, Malleshwaram and Mahadevapura on an ongoing basis round the year and provide progressive training to the students following Boca Juniors methodology.

David Moliner Monerdero, National Technical Director, BJFSI commented, "We are excited about our association with The Brigade Schools and this is a great opportunity for students of The Brigade Schools to learn nuances of football under professional supervision. Additionally, students will learn to work as a team through football and respect each other, inside and outside the field ".

Ms Githa Shankar Chairperson, Brigade Foundation, commented, " We have made football training compulsory for our students at The Brigade Schools as it also helps students to work as a team in a disciplined manner.The professional framework of BJFSI will benefit our students -both at elementary and advanced levels. It is important that the students learn it right from the beginning to enjoy the game and advance their skills under professional supervision".

Additionally, students of The Brigade Schools would be given the opportunity to visit Buenos Aries, Argentina where they would live the life of a Boca Juniors football player. The students would be housed in the Boca Juniors Academy and they would be a privileged lot who would train under the first team coaches.

Federation Cup would be held in Kerala from January 1-12, 2014

AIFF PRESS RELEASE : Mr. ZA Thakur Chaired All India Football Federation's Competition Committee which meet at the AIFF Headquarters, the Football House on Wednesday (October 9). Besides Mr. Thakur and Vice-Chairman Mr. Menla Ethenpa, Mr. Debjyoti Mukherjee, Mr. Syed Imtiaz Hussain, Mr. Deepak Sharma, Mr. Hem Chand, Mr. Babli Mandrekar, Mr. GK Shrivastava and Mr. Harish Vohra also attended the Meeting. The AIFF General Secretary Mr. Kushal Das was also present as was Mr. Anil Kamat, Director, Competitions.

The Committee unanimously decided on the following:

The Federation Cup would be held in Kerala from January 1-12, 2014.

The Santosh Trophy would be played in two phases - the Zonals and then the Final phase. While the Final Phase would be held in Siliguri, West Bengal between January 15-31, 2014, the Zonals are slated to be held between December 1-20, 2013.

Besides the U-14 Tournament for Boys would be held in Kalyani, West Bengal between November 10-30, 2013.

The Junior National Football Championship for Girls would be held in Odisha from November 20 to December 5, 2013.

Freedom Football League 2013 organized by Jaipur Football Club.

On 06th October 2013 at Oxford International Academy, Vaishali Nagar, Jaipur, the Freedom Football League finished with some nail biting moments. The final match was played between, Jaipur Heroes FC & Fusion FC where Jaipur Heroes won the game by a margin of 3-1.

In the first half it was only 5 minutes when Bhupendra scored the first goal and then Swapnil added the flavor by scoring two more in the second half. Fusion FC tried their level best to invade the defense line and Satish got a chance to score one goal in the second half. The game ended with the score of 3-1 and Jaipur Heroes FC was the winner and picked the trophy. Individual Awards of the Tournament:
