TheFootballLink Junior League Season 3 - Closing Ceremony

Press Release:18.05.2014 : Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium/New Delhi, 18th May 2014 - TheFootballLink Junior League Season III came to an end with more than 300 games played in over 7 weeks, involving more than 500 children from across Delhi/NCR. Holisol Panthers, Conscient-12, Conscient-14, Real Sports Academy and Amity Pushp Vihar were declared champions in the U-9, U-12, U-14, U-16 and U-19 age categories, respectively.

Ex-Police Commissioner of Delhi, Mr. Neeraj Kumar, renowned Indian sports commentator, Mr. Novy Kapadia and Chairman of TheFootballLink, Mr. Biraja Misra were the esteemed guests at the closing ceremony of the TheFootballLink Junior League.

When asked of his views about the league, Mr. Neeraj Kumar said, "It is commendable, the work that TheFootballLink is doing in their efforts to develop the sport of Football".

Mr. Novy Kapadia spoke of the book he has written about World Cup facts called 'The Football Fanatics Essential Guide' which received tumulus response from the children and parents.

The best players from the league were awarded trophies and Adidas footballs and studs. In a day full of emotions, every child signed off with memories he would cherish for a long time to come. Post the event, TheFootballLink distributed books from their partner Hachette to children of all age groups.

The league was organized in association with the Sports Authority of India and Delhi Soccer Association. The esteemed guests, the parents applauded the way TheFootballLink has been working to promote the sport of Football in India.

GRASSROOT FOOTBALL FESTIVAL AT Kolhapur, Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh.

Himachal Prdesh Football Association organized the AFC GRASS ROOT PROGRAM in ALL OVER HIMACHAL PRADESH. In this occasion MR DEEPAK SHARMA GEN. SECRETARY of Himachal Pradesh Football Association ( H.P.F.A), MR IKRAM MOHD SR.VICE PRESIDENT District Football Association SIRMUR, MR SHIVRAJ SHARMA SR.VICE - PRESIDENT District Football Association SIRMUR, MANUJ SHARMA FOOTBALL COACH, MR NAREN THAPA GRASS ROOT LEADER, MR PERVEJ,MR KAPIL THAPA, MR D.R SWAMI VIE PRESIDENT were present in the occasion.

District Football Association of SIRMUR provided the refreshments to the participating kids. More than 100 PLAYERS AND 20 GRASS ROOT coaches participated in the programme. In an another programme at Himachal Pradesh, the District Assocation of Bilaspur also organized the Grassroot Football programme..



In Kolhapur, Maharashtra, Gadhinglaj United Football Association organised the day of Grassroot Football. Total more than 250 kids footballers participated in the programme. Ex player G.D. Ghali, Siddhapa Kamble inaugurated the football festival. Hon. B.B Patil, Nigappa Kardage, Netaji Pallkar, Rahul Shirkoli were present in the programme.



Gadhinglaj United Football Association organiser Deepak Kuppannvar told that the festival ended with a grand success where there were various colorful flags, balloons & Dolby sound system. Total 6 ground pitches are made with small goal post. In guidance with All India football federation, Western India Football Association & kolhapur sports association the festival successfully complected in rural area.

Organizers of the proggrame arranged refreshment for the kids after ending of the festival. Amit Savant, Yogesh Dhamone, Mahesh Parit, Suraj Teli,Omkar Jadhav, Yashvant Salvi worked as instructor for games.
