India to play two friendly matches against Palestine.

AIFF confirms that Indian Sr football team will play two International Friendlies against recently crowned AFC Challenge Cup Champions Palestine in October 2014. The Indian Senior National Team would play Palestine on October 6 and October 9.

As per the July 2014 FIFA Rankings, Palestine stay on 85, 66 places above India who are presently lying on 151 in the FIFA Rankings.The last time the two Countries played in an International Friendly in February 2013 in Kochi, Palestine beat India 4-2.

Over 60 candidates apply for AFC B Certificate Course in Kolkata.

AIFF has received over 60 applications for the upcoming AFC B Certificate Course to be held in Kolkata from 7th - 28th September. As the host State for this course Bengal was allocated ten positions. Candidates from fourteen other State Associations also applied.

AFC allows only 24 participants for each of their coaching courses. As per AIFF Policy, priority is given for those coaches currently working with I-League Clubs in order to satisfy AFC/AIFF Club Licensing criteria. Coaches who satisfy AFC criteria and who are actively coaching and contributing to Indian football were given next priority.

AIFF wishes all of the candidates who have applied all the best for the Course and advises them to be mentally and physically prepared for three weeks of hard work.

Maharashtra based Kolhapur Gadhinglaj United successfullu organised their 7th edition of Kole- Hatti- Shanmugam trophy school football tournament. In the tournament's U-14 Group M.R. High school and U-17 age group Jagruti High school emerged as the champions. In This edition more than five hundred jr. footballers came from 60 different schools of Kolhapur area.

Deepak Kuppannvar, General Secretary of Gadhinjlaj FA told us that in final of U- 17 group Jagruti High school defeated Gijavane High school( Mal Maruti) by 1-0. Jagruti's Sangram Patil scored the only goal from a brilliant free kick while In U-14 tournament M R High school beat Gadhinglaj High school by 1-0. M.R. Schools scored the only goal from a nice header off Omkar belgundkar's free kick.

In the prize distribution ceremony Onkar Sutar, Omkar Belgundkar, Chaitanye Khatedar, Suraj Konduskar( All U-14), Suresh Chougle Omkar shinde, Swapnil Jagtap, Samarth Kumbhar ( All U-17) felicitated as tournaments best player.

Eminent personalities present in the ceremony were Gadhinglaj's Mayour Mrs. Laxmi Ghugari, Vice Mayor Kaveri chougle, Tasildar Hanmantrao Patil, Treasurer Mahadev Patil, Director Arvind Bardeskar, Prashant Daddikar, Bhairu Salwade, Manish Kole are present. For this tournament Sandip ghevade, Suraj Teli, Umesh Devgoda, Prasanna Prasadi,Lalit Shinde, Sunny Todkar worked as referee.
