FOOTBALL LINKS Official Media RELEASE : The Sports Authority of India and TheFootballLink jointly launched the F-Cube Technology on the 8th July at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Hon'ble Union Minister of State - Independent Charge for Sports & Youth Affairs, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Shri Sarabanda Sonowal launched the technology piece in the midst of Director General -Sports Authority of India and Dutch Ambassador to India Mr Alphonsus Stoelinga and 1000 guests from the football fraternity of India.

Through the F-Cube, TheFootballLink aims at creating a standardized platform to scout for talented children, while developing an athlete's mental attributes, cognitive skills, concentration and technique through real game-play. The F-Cube also acts as a video coaching platform that aids in the Technical and Tactical development of a Footballer through various educational and game/practice apps.

Chetan Misra, founder of TheFootballLink gave a presentation on how the F-Cube is going to benefit the Business, Entertainment, Social, Technical, Tactical and Technological aspects of Football while also presenting the working of the technology piece in front of the guests.

The Hon'ble Minister, Mr. Sonowal said "I am confident that this is the right time to scout for talent and create measures, sharpen our arsenals even further in the preparation for the ultimate battlefield in 2017". He appreciated the motive behind the invention of the technology piece and assured full support in helping the F-Cube fulfill its promising potential. The technology aims at providing a standardized scouting platform for talented Footballers with a concentration on the Under-17 FIFA World Cup (2017) in India.

Shillong Lajong FC Signs Twenty Under 19 boys on Four year Professional Contracts.

SLFC Official Media RELEASE : Youth Development has always been Lajong's mantra for success and keeping up with the tradition, the Club has signed Twenty U-19 boys on unprecedented 4 year professional contracts. This includes Fifteen boys who have graduated from the Lajong academy and also Five freshly signed players from the India Under 19 squad.

India U19 internationals, AlenDeory (Midfieler-Assam), Vishal Kaith (Goalkeeper - HP), Issac Vanmalsawma (Midfielder- Mizoram), Joseph Lalfakzuala (Midfielder- Mizoram) and Pritam Kumar Singh (Defender - Manipur) will be joining the 15 Lajong academy boys in forming the crux of Lajong side.

These signings were a part of a long term vision plan by Lajong called "Goal 14" started in 2010 to nurture young players and groom their abilities, so that they could represent the club and country at the highest level. Out of the Fifteen Goal 14 boys; Rupert Nongrum, Shaiborlang Kharpan, Zodingliana, Jacob and NimDorjee, have been regulars in the Indian Under-19 squad, taking the tally of Lajong players to have represented India U-19 team to 10.

Shillong Lajong FC Managing Director commented on this latest development and said, "We are delighted to have these five national players in our club as we aim to strengthen our youth system and produce future football stars for the country. This is good for the future of Lajong and our objective is to become champions of India by 2017 and hope the addition of these boys in the long term will be fruitful."

The grass roots of the game are vastly important to the Club and hence Lajong has invested in the players of tomorrow. Lajong welcomes all the new junior boys to the "Home of The Reds" and wish them a wonderful season ahead.

Mohun Bagan to play a practice match against the Royal University Team of Bhutan on Thursday.

Mohun Bagan Football Team is schedule to play a practice match in preparation for the upcoming IFA CFL Premier Football League 2014 against the Royal University Team of Bhutan on Thursday. The match will be held on 10th July 2014 at 4:00 pm at Mohun Bagan Athletic Club Ground.

The prime objective of the Royal University Team to visit to Kolkata is to infuse the essence of total development of football to their students' not only within Bhutan but as well as in abroad.

The present engagement for the Bhutan Royal University Team and the basic purpose of the tour is to create a long lasting friendly tie with football friendly clubs and associations, to develop and nurture talent at both places, and most importantly spread gross National happiness through the beautiful game of football as the stepping stone in harnessing the relation to strength.
