Roko Angami - Elected as the  PRESIDENT NAGALAND FOOTBALL COACHES ASSOCIATION 20.09.2016 :COURTESY - XAV.RUTSA :Roko Angami, former International football player on 21 September, as he is almost certain to be nominated/elected as the PRESIDENT of newly formed NAGALAND FOOTBALL COACHES ASSOCIATION. ROKO is expected to be crown unanimously at the meeting scheduled at Ura hotel,kohima.

ROKO, a father of two kids, to his credit has formed the Naga Boys Club in 1999 and on record his team had lifted NSF MMT thre times 2000, 2003 and 2006.Today he continues to hold it as its founder President. He is also the first Naga player to play in Philips Indian league in 1996/97 for the renowned Mahindra & Mahindra and Young Amateur Club of Guwahati. He was the founder of Naga Boys Clun in 1999 also the coach of Kohima based Naga Boys Club. He represented the state as a footballer from 1990-1998 and has been a coach from 2000.

Known as R.K, he represented India sub-Junior Level as he played against Israel in Telaviv at the school games. He represented the government Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, in the coveted Subroto Mukherjee Cup for three years in a row. ROKO has also on the field played with the likes of Baichung Bhutia, Rennedy Singh, Gumpe Rime, Thang BoI Singto to name a few. THANGOBOI and

In the history books of football, Roko also had represented Maharashtra in the premier Santosh Trophy during his heydays, besides Nagaland.
