18.01.2016: At last Sony Nordi reaches Kolkata . It comes the end of all drama and speculations since last one and half months. The Haitian striker will attend the practice session of Mohun Bagan from tomorrow onwards. These will be Sony Nordi's second consecutive year as he is the main architect of Mohun Bagan's I League victory last year. It is expected that the Haitian striker will be included in the final eleven in the much awaited Derby match against East Bengal.

Mohun Bagan will registered him for I-League in IFA office tomorrow ( 19.01.2016)

16.01.2016 : The Residential Football Academy of East Bengal starts it's journey today. At Kolkata the Football Academy was declared open by the ex international footballer and coach Arun Ghosh. Ranjan Cowdhury, who was in charge of Tata Football Academy and Pune FC Football Academy will be in charge of the East Bengal Football Academy. The AIFF Senior. Vise President and President of IFA Mr. Subrata Dutta, ex-India International footballer Bruno Coutinho, Kuljit Singh and Baichung Bhutia were present at the practice ground of Saltlake city during the rituals and candle lighting in the morning.

East Bengal Club of Kolkata, are tying up with the European champion club Real Mardid for the Football academy which was inaugurated at Kolkata last week. According to the sources there have been a series of talks between the officials of East Bengal and Real Madrid's CEO, Luis Fernandez and Project manager Anderson Muntaner. A Technical team of the Spanish club will help East Bengal to build the infrastructure of the Football Academy. The trainees of East Bengal Football Academy will also travel to Madrid for special training programmes time to time.
