EX-EAST BENGAL FOOTBALLER PRALAY SAHA DIED IN CAR ACCIDENT

24.03.2016: Ex- East Bengal and India Team footballer Pralay Saha no more. At the age of around 48 he passess away through a road accident in Orissa travelling from Jharkhand. Pralay lived in DUM DUM PARK-Baguihati-Kolkata and started his playing career with Aurora AA of CFL lower Division League as a stopper back in the year 1989-90. He was an employyee of SAIL.

From there he also played in Aryan club before joining in East Benggal and played 1993-1994 season From there he moved to Sail in 1995. His East Bengal team mates in defence line then were Swarup Das, Tarun Dey, Ilyas Pasha, Amitava Chanda, Aloke Das, Mastan Ahmed, Kabir Bose, Manoranjan Bhattacharya and Monem Munna.

In the 6th june 1993 Pralay ( Jerey No-3) played 1994 pre world cup AFC qualifier football against south Korea at Seoul under coach Jiri Pesek (Czechoslovakia). Played Indian U21 National Team at the Rajiv Gandhi Cup 1992 ( Runners-up), The Indian Senior Team at the 1993 Madras Nehru Cup( India 3rd Place),The Indian Senior Team at the 1993 Lahore SAARC Cup ( Winner) etc.

Pralay Played about 35-40 International matches for India Team. Utpal Mukherjee - Ex Goalkeeper and B Lisence coach who was a friend of Proloy in his starting career with Aurrora AA is very much upset for the sudden demise of Proloy in an early age.
