EASTB ENGAL INTRODUCED THEIR TEAM IN 96TH BIRTHDAY

01.08.2015 : East Bengal Club introduced their football team in style. At Kolkata today in their 96th birthday the team was officially introduced to the members and supporters in a Auditorium at South Kolkata. East Bengal felicitated one of the icon of Indian football Md Habib with “Bharat Gaurav” Award while Chandan Banerjee, who lead East Bengal in 1966 awarded with Lifetime Achievement Award.

Me. Habib were honored with memento and a cash award of Rs 2 lacks. Chandan Banerjee donated an amount of Rs 50 thousand to the ground staffs of East Bengal, Customs and Veterans Club from his cash award of Rs 1 lack.

East Bengal honored Robert Lalthalmuana , who was adjudged as the "Player of the yeas" in the recently concluded season. Robert played 100 matches dawning the Red and Gold shirt and an important member of the squad.

The legendary footballer Chuni Goswami was present on the occasion. Chuni Goswami who never played for East Bengal was welcomed by the East Bengal officials . The Affiliated fan club of East Bengal Red and Gold Lovers did a good job as they engage almost 50 kids from an Orphanage Home in the programme. In spite of torrential rain for the last 48 hours East Bengal fanatics joined the programme in large number.

EASTB ENGAL INTRODUCED THEIR TEAM IN 96TH BIRTHDAY East Bengal Club launched Football Almanac in their 96th birthday. Incidentally this is the 4th volume of football Almanac. The former Chief Justice of Mumbai High Court Chittatosh Mukherjee in presence of Club President Dr Pranab Das Gupta, General Secretary Kalyan Mazumdar and a host of Red and Gold fanatics launched the Almanac which is truly an significant collection of statistics, pictures and articles.

This is for the first time the editorial team decided to publish a bi-lingual edition of the Football Almanac. The East Bengal Media officer Gautam Roy and Gautam Mukherjee enrich the Almanac with important and rare Statistics and pictures. The East Bengal fanatics even the football lovers will find the Almanac as an important collection which is available from the East Bengal Club tent at Kolkata Maidan.
