India U 16 boys Exposure trip to Germany, Spain 20.07.2015: AIFF PRESS RELEASE : India's current U-16 squad presently preparing in Goa for the FIFA 2017 U-17 World Cup will leave early on Tuesday (July 21) for an extensive exposure Tour to Germany for almost two months. The Tour to Germany would be followed by the AFC U-16 Qualifiers in Tabriz City, Iran from where the colts would be proceeding to Spain to compete in the AGS Cup in the third week of September 2015.

Furthermore the stay for the preparatory process for the 24-member squad in Germany has been organised in close association with the German Football Association (DFB). During their stay in Germany, the Indian colts will be playing a minimum of 15-16 practice matches including ones against youth Teams of Bayern Munich, RB Salzburg, amongst others.

All India Football Federation General Secretary Kushal Das highlighted AIFF's objective in providing "best possible" exposure for the squad. We had already mentioned the squad will embark on a series of exposure tours all round the Globe in different Footballing environments. Germany have been synonymous with Youth Development and training at venues having the best of facilities and playing with some of the best youth Teams will help in the development of our World Cup squad.

"I would also like to thank DFB for their support. This is the first of many more exposure Tours to follow for the colts.'India U-17 World Cup Head Coach Nicolai Adam felt the exposure Tour will “help the Team in the long run." The preparation in Germany before the AFC U-16 Qualifiers will be good for the boys. The AFC Qualifiers will be tough with Iran, Bahrain and Lebanon in our Group.

PIFA organised a football camp to Barcelona, Malaga & Madrid

The 34th PIFA Champions Tour was open to all abilities of football players. This year was a little different as it covered 3 cities and participated in a world class youth tournament.

The camp kicked off at the H8S Academy in Barcelona. Coaching was conducted by Spanish UEFA Pro License coach Antonio Sanchez and overseen by PIFA Director Nirvan Shah an UEFA licensed coach. Skills, tactics with class room sessions brought remarkable improvement in the players which showcased successfully during their friendly matches. During their stay in Barcelona, the boys got a tour to Camp Nou Stadium and museum and City tour

The kids were most excited seeing the five UEFA Champions league trophies and the La Sagrada Familia. After a week long training in Barcelona, the campers flew to Malaga to participate in what was one of the toughest youth tournament - ‘The IBER CUP’, recognized by FIFA as Tier 2. PIFA was given the privilege to be the first team to march into to the Marbella stadium at the opening ceremony.

There were reputed clubs such as Liverpool FC, Manchester City, Benfica, Juventus, Real Betis, Villa Real, Valencia as well as clubs from Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Egypt, Portugal, Austria, Croatia, Romania, Finland, Belgium, USA, Puerto Rico, Argentina & Guatemala Although the campers were not trained as a team before this tour, they gave their 100% in all the games and possibly rubbed shoulders with future stars of World football.

The campers met English Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg, who officiated at the tournament. During their stay they visited Porta Banus, Ronda & Marbella. On the final day, the campers were taken for a surprise tour of Madrid City followed by a tour of the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu stadium, Real Madrid FC is the only club to be awarded the FIFA Club of the Century and win ten UEFA Champions League Trophy.

Mr.Dhanay Poddar was awarded the Most Valuable Player, he won a Lionel Messi autographed FC Barcelona jersey. The campers were rewarded with participation certificates, medals and motivated to do better.

JCT felicitates Santosh Trophy & National Games Runners-up - Punjab State Senior Football Team

JCT FC PRESS RELEASE : JCT Limited under the dynamic leadership of Mr.Samir Thapar, felicitated Punjab State Senior Football Team that has taken part in 69th National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy 2014-2015 held at Ludhiana (Punjab) from 1st March to 15th March, 2015 and 35th National Games (Football Competition) held in Kozhikode (Kerala) from 1st to 9th February, 2015 and attained Runners-up position in both the above prestigious National Competition.

Mr.Puneet Verma, Vice President (HR & IR) – JCT Limited, Phagwara who is also Sr. Vice President of Punjab Football Association was the Chief Guest on this Prize Distribution Ceremony and gave away the total cash prizes worth Rs.4,35,000/- to the participating squad (Players and officials) @ Rs.15000/- each participants. India U-19 matches in FAM-FRENZ Asia Champions Trophy 2015

20.07.2015: AIFF PRESS RELEASE : All India Football Federation's Elite Academy, the U-19 Indian National Team will be one of the eight participating Teams in the FAM-FRENZ Asia Champions Trophy 2015, which is slated to kick-off from August 05, 2015.

India have been pitted in Group A alongside Frenz United A, Felda United FC (both from Malaysia) and Chonburi FC (Thailand); while Frenz United B (Malaysia), Phnom Phen Crown FC (Cambodia), Kashima Antlers (Japan) and PVF Vietnam (Vietnam) comprise Group B.

Teams in the Group would play in a Group and Knock-out stage format wherein the top two finishing Teams from the Group Stage will progress into the Knock-out stage. Both stages including the Finals will be played on a home and away basis.

The Winners of the coveted Trophy will become richer by 50,000USD, while the Runners-up, third placed Team and the fourth placed Team will finish with USD 25,000, USD 12,500 and USD 7,500 respectively.

Besides, that there will also be award for Most Valuable Player and Golden Boot, both of which come with a purse of USD 2,500. The Tournament was launched in a snazzy hotel in Melaka on Tuesday morning (July 14, 2015). The launch was preceded by a technical Workshop which was attended by members from the participating Teams.

Speaking on the occasion, Dato Noor Ihsan, President Frenz United FC expressed that the 'Asia Champions Trophy is a perfect platform for exposure to International Football, as it provides opportunity to the youth to gain experience.' We are looking forward to this initiative and I want to thank all the participating Teams. Best of luck to all the participants, he stated.

The AIFF colts will lock horns against Felda United FC in their first game, away from home. The Academy boys will play all their home matches under the floodlights of Fatorda Stadium, Goa.
