Dempo SC's young star Romeo Fernandez is likely to join a Premier division Brazilian football club Atletico Paranaense soon. Sources said that a Brazilian club are interested to sign the Goan midfielder after his impressive performance in Indian Super League.

Romeo Fernandez is a product of Dempo's youth system are one of the upcoming and talented midfielder in the country. Romeo was a key player for the Dempo youth teams at U18, U19 and U20 levels. Reliable sources said that Romeo Is going to join in Clube Atletico Paranaense, a Premier Division club in Brazil. The deal will be finalize soon which will be for 12 months.

The team management of Clube Atletico Paranaense had shortlisted three Indian footballers but finally decided to sign Romeo Fernandez after consulting with FC Goa coach, Zico.

The Director of international affairs of Clube Atletico Paranaense Luiz Greco, already intimated the chairman Of Dempo Sports Club Shrinivas Dempo, regarding the deal where he has mentioned that Romeo will be provided accommodation, meals and salary compatible to our under-23 team players. Romeo are also keen to accept the challenge and it is expected that the deal will be declared shortly.

NICOLAI ADAM APPOINTED AS HEAD COACH FOR U-17 WORLD CUP

AIFF PRESS RELEASE : All India Football Federation confirms Mr. Nicolai Adam's appointment as the Head Coach of the Indian U-17 National Team for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup. Mr. Adam, an UEFA Pro Licence holder is presently working as the Head Coach of the U-19 National Team of Azerbaijan and will take charge from April 1, 2015.

Nicolai Adam (Date of birth: 11.12.1972- Germany ) coached Azerbaijan Side Aserbaidschan U19 last played friendly match against Japan U18 and his team won 1-0 scored by Elnur Jafarov on 3rd January 2015 and against Russia U17 on 4th January where his team won 4-2. On January 11th his team played against German side Weibrussland U18 and beat them 5-4. while the team last played another friendly on 15th August 2013 against East Land U17 where Adam's theam lost 2-3.

Nicolai has also served as the National Coach for the U-16 and U-17 National Teams of Azerbaizan and has guided the U-19 National Team to the Elite Group of UEFA. Besides, he has also worked as the International Football Development Advisor of the German Football Association (DFB) and served as the UEFA Head of Coach Education in Azerbaijan.

He has also completed his Masters Degree in Sports Science with specialization in performance diagnostics and injury prevention. Mr. Kushal Das, General Secretary, All India Football Federation,congratulated Nicolai on the job. "We are pleased to have him on board.
