Delhi Dynamos sign Uruguay midfielder Matias Mirabaje
PART- 47 (ISL): 31.7.2017 : After Paulinho Dias, ISL side Delhi Dynamos has signed their 2nd foreigner Uruguayan 28-year old attacking midfielder Matias Mirabaje for the upcoming season of the Indian Super League 2017-18. The midfielder played the clubs like Nacional de Uruguay, San Lorenzo, Atletico Paranaense.
He was part of the San Lorenzo side which won the Copa Libertadores in 2014 and finished runners-up in the FIFA Club World Cup 2014. Matias also played in the FIFA U-20 World Cup for Uruguay, helping the side reach the Round of 16.
Bidyananda, Robinson sign with Bengaluru FC
PART- 46 (ISL): 31.7.2017 : Federation Cup champions Bengaluru Football Club, on Friday, announced the signings of midfielders Bidyananda Singh and Robinson Singh on two year contracts. While Bidyananda joins from ISL side Atletico De Kolkata, Robinson Singh joins the Blues from Mohun Bagan.
A defensive midfielder who progressed through the AIFF Academy ranks, Bidyananda joins the Blues after having represented India at the U13, U14, U15, U16 and U17 sides. The 19-year-old faced the Blues while playing for the AIFF U19s in a friendly in Bengaluru in 2015, a match in which he found the net.
Robinson, meanwhile, joins the Blues having represented Mohun Bagan for the last two seasons. The 20-year-old has also represented India at the U16, U17 and U19 levels. He was also part of the India team that took part in the AFC U23 Championship qualifiers in Doha, earlier in July.

PART- 45 (ISL): 28.7.2017 : ISL Side Delhi Dynamos has benn signed their first foreign player 29-year old midfielder Paulinho Dias for the coming season of the Indian Super League.
A graduate of the Cruzeiro academy, Paulinho was last played in the club Joinville in Serie B. Paulinho has previously played likes of Ipatinga, Chapecoense and Veranpolis where he started majority of the games and helped the clubs in promotion to the top division.

Chennaiyin FC sign Slovenian Rene Mihelic
PART- 43 (ISL): - CFC PRESS RELEASE - 26.7.2017 : Chennaiyin FC has completed the signing of Slovenian playmaker Rene Mihelic for the 2017-18 season of the Hero Indian Super League. The 29-year-old joins the 2015 ISL champions on a free transfer after the expiry of his contract at Latvian club Riga FC.
Mihelic graduated from the youth academy of Slovenian giants NK Maribor and also went on to make his senior professional debut for them. At the age of 19, Mihelic went on to become Slovenia’s youngest player at international level.
After leaving Maribor in 2010, Mihelic spent three seasons with Portuguese top tier outfit Nacional and in that period he also had a loan spell with Bulgarian giants Levski Sofia. He returned to Slovenia in 2013 for a one-year stint with Zavrc.
He then moved to Hungarian giants Debrecen for a one year stint before moving to Israel to play for Hapoel Ra'anana where he spent 18 months. In January 2017 he joined Riga FC on a short term deal.
Mihelic has represented Slovenia at both senior and various age group levels from U-18 to U-21. He has won the domestic league in Slovenia and Hungary and has played in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League for Maribor, Nacional and Debrecen.
Mumbai City FC retains Romanian defender Lucian Goian for HERO ISL 4
PART- 42 (ISL): - MCFC PRESS RELEASE - 26.7.2017 : : Mumbai City FC has retained central defender Lucian Goian to strengthen the defense of the team for the next two seasons of the Indian Super League. Goian was considered as the top three defenders due to his wealth of experience and strong performance in the last season.
Goian will join Amrinder Singh and Sehnaj Singh who were also retained by Mumbai City FC for the upcoming season. In addition, the team has picked some of India’s finest domestic football talent at the recently concluded Player Draft, making up for yet another formidable season.
The 34-year-old represented the Romania U21 national team and has spent the majority of his career playing in the top division of the Romanian League and emerged a two-time Romanian Cup Winner. He has represented top clubs such as Dinamo București in the UEFA Champions League. Goian has played under Coach Alexandre Guimaraes at the Chinese Super League side Tianjin Teda. Lucian joined A-League side Perth Glory FC after the conclusion of ISL 2016.

AIFF Invites New Bids For Hero I-League 2017-18
AIFF MEDIA RELEASE - 21.7.2017: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has noticed issue to invite bids for new clubs for the Hero I-League across leading dailies of the nation.
Bids are invited from prospective team owners in respect of cities – Bengaluru, Mumbai, New Delhi, Ranchi, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bhopal, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Malappuram and Trivandrum, among others.
Under this invitation to tender, the winning bidders will be granted the right to own and operate a new club which will compete in I-League in each year from 2017 onwards and will have the opportunity (if applicable and subject to qualification) to compete in the AFC (Asian Football Confederation’s) club competitions.
“We are looking forward to welcoming vibrant outfits in Hero I-League. The new entrants will surely bring newer challenges and fresh football dynamics which would provide more competitiveness and thrill to the league”, said Sunando Dhar, CEO, I-League.
Bengaluru FC retain Nishu, Zuala for ISL; Daniel for AFC Cup
PART- 41 (ISL): - BFC PRESS RELEASE - 21.7.2017 : : Continuing the rebuild of their squad for the upcoming season, Bengaluru FC have retained two of the most promising youngsters in Indian football in midfielder Malsawmzuala and defender Nishu Kumar, keeping them at the club till the end of the 2017-18 season. The duo make grade for the ‘under-21 uncapped players’ slot for the Indian Super League.
Meanwhile, Indian International striker Daniel Lalhlimpuia continues to remain part of the squad and will feature in the Blues’ AFC Cup campaign. Chennaiyin FC extend Raphael Augusto stay

The 26-year-old is currently on loan from Chennaiyin to Brazilian fourth tier outfit Bangu Atletico Clube but will be back for the 2017-18 ISL season.
Raphael joined Chennaiyin in 2015 on loan from Brazilian giants Fluminense and was instrumental in CFC reaching the semis on their way to the title. He completed a permanent move to Chennaiyin last season.
The former DC United and Legia Warsaw player has already made 26 appearances over two ISL seasons and won several individual awards.
Chennaiyin FC sign Spaniard Inigo Calderon
PART- 39 (ISL): - CFC PRESS RELEASE - 19.7.2017 : : Chennaiyin FC is delighted to announce the signing of Spanish defender Inigo Calderon for the 2017-18 season of the Hero Indian Super League. Calderon joins the 2015 ISL champions on a free transfer after the expiry of his contract at Anorthosis Famagusta in Cyprus.
A product of the Alaves youth academy, Calderon started his senior professional career with Alicante in the third tier of Spain. After spending three years at Alicante, Calderon returned to Alaves for a two-year spell before joining English club Brighton & Hove Albion in 2010.
Calderon spent six years at Brighton and was instrumental in their promotion to the second tier in his first season there. He was adjudged the club’s player of the season in 2014-15. The 35-year-old moved to Cypriot outfit Anorthosis Famagusta last season and helped them finish in the top six.
Chennaiyin FC head coach John Gregory said, “Inigo is a player I know very well from his time in England with Brighton. He is not only a top class defender but also a leader on and off the pitch. His quality and experience is going to add great value to our defence and I am sure the Indian players will also get to learn a lot from him.”
FC Goa confirms the signing of Ferran Corominas.
PART- 38 (ISL): - 18.7.2017 : FC Goa has confirmed the signing of Spanish forward, Ferran Corominas on a free transfer. Popularly called ‘Coro’, the 34-year-old has raked up over 250 appearances in La Liga and has a wealth of experience behind him having turned out for the likes of Elche, Osasuna, Mallorca and at Espanyol where he spent the best part of 10 years.
Coro started out at Espanyol in the B Team before being promoted to the first team in the summer of 2003. After saving the club from relegation with a last minute goal in the 05/06 season, Coro went on to win Copa Del Rey and was also instrumental in the club’s run to the UEFA Cup final in the 06/07 season where they finished runners up to Juande Ramos’ Sevilla.
Coro then moved to Elche via Girona where he once again was a vital cog in the team and donned the captain’s armband on various occasions where he helped the club maintain its status in La Liga over several seasons.
A diminutive forward, Coro largely operates as a second striker and is excellent at linking up play and occupying spaces between the opposition’s defence and midfield. Boasting a quick turn of pace, Coro is known to favour the odd spectacular goal or two.
After confirming the signing the club president, Akshay Tandon said: “We are pleased to have got Coro on board. Coro is exactly the sort of profile we have been after. We feel with his level of experience that he brings to table, he will be real asset to the team and a handful to the opposition.”

PART- 37 (ISL): - 17.7.2017 : Bengaluru FC have added more Spanish flavour to the side, signing winger Antonio Rodriguez Dovale for the 2017-18 campaign. Twenty-seven-year- old ‘Toni’, as he is widely known, joins Bengaluru FC from Spanish Segunda Division side Rayo Vallecano with whom he spent the 2016-17 season. He also becomes the third Spanish player in the side alongside Juanan Gonzalez and Dimas Delgado.
Born in A Coruña in Northern Spain, Toni spent his formative years at Obradoiro and FC Barcelona before joining Celta de Vigo in 2005 as a youth player. Two years later he was promoted to the reserve side before making his first team debut in the Segunda Divsion in 2009.
A brief loan spell at fellow Segunda Division side SD Huesca in 2010-11 was followed by a return to Celta, where he made 30 appearances helping the side achieve promotion to the La Liga at the end of the 2011-12 season. Over the next two years, Toni played an important role for Celta in the top-flight with the highlight being an impressive 9th place finish in the 2013-14 season.
Toni crossed the Atlantic in the year 2014 as he signed for Sporting Kansas City in the Major League Soccer (USA) where he helped the team reach the post-season play-offs. But he returned back to Spain with CD Lugo in 2014-15 before once again achieving promotion to the La Liga in the following season while playing for CD Leganes.

Mumbai City FC continue with Alexandre Guimaraes as Head Coach for ISL-IV
PART- 35 (ISL): MCFC PRESS RELEASE 14.06.2017 : Alexandre Guimaraes has been re-appointed as head coach of Mumbai City FC moving into the fourth edition of the Indian Super League scheduled to start in November 2017 this year.
Alexandre led Mumbai City FC to top the group standings at the end of the league stage in ISL last year, and helped the club reach their maiden semi-final where they succumbed to eventual league winners, Atletico de Kolkata in a closely fought semi-final in December last year.
The 57-year-old Costa Rican retired footballer represented his country in 1990 FIFA World Cup. He is best known for his great achievements as the Head Coach of the Costa Rica National Squad, leading them past the qualifying stages for the 2002 and the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
Alexandre Henrique Borges Guimarães started coaching Belén, then moved to Herediano in summer 1996, where he achieved good results with both teams. He was hired by Saprissa, where he worked for several years, winning three national tournaments with them. Alexandre has also coached several international teams, such as Comunicaciones of Guatemala, Irapuato and Dorados de Sinaloa in Mexico & tasted success with teams like Al Wasl in UAE & Tiajin Teda in China.
Mumbai City FC team owner Ranbir Kapoor, averred, “Getting coach to come back for the upcoming season was a no-brainer. We were very happy with the team's performances last season and the way he led the team on the field like a general and off the field like a father-figure, was commendable.”
On being retained by the club, Alexandre Henrique Borges Guimarães said, “I'm very happy to continue as the coach of Mumbai City FC. The support of the owners and management has been fabulous and the reception and love the players and my staff got from the supporters club was tremendous. We achieved some of the objectives last year by finishing top of the table and reaching the semi-finals but I'd like to continue this project and finish the job I came here for.”
FC GOA signs Spanish midfielder Manuel Arana
PART- 34 (ISL): 12.06.2017 : FC Goa have confirmed the signing of winger Manuel Arana on a one year contract. Arana, who largely operates from the right wing last played for Brisbane Roar in the A-League & Asian Champions League last season where he racked up 5 assists and made 24 appearances.
The Spaniard comes with plenty of experience in the top two divisions of Spain where he has turned out for a host of clubs with a combined total of over 230 appearances and 40 goals to his name.
The Seville native was product of the Betis youth system before moving to Castellon where his impressive performances in the second tier of Spanish football led to a move to Racing Santander. He spent 3 seasons in the top division as a regular starter where he played 78 games. Following spells at Recreativo Huelva, RCD Mallorca and Rayo Vallecano, Arana moved to Brisbane Roar last year.
Speaking of the prospect of coming to India, the 32-year-old midfielder said: “I’m pleased to have signed for FC Goa. The league in India is getting a lot of attention and I cant wait to come and experience it for myself. I have heard a lot of good things about FC Goa and with Sergio Lobera as the head coach, I’m sure we can mount a very strong challenge for the top honours. I thank the club for placing their faith in me and will do my utmost to ensure we can achieve the desired results.”
Bengaluru FC have completed the signing of experienced Spanish midfielder Dimas Delgado.
PART- 33 (ISL): 11.06.2017 : Strengthening their squad ahead of the 2017-18 season, Bengaluru FC have completed the signing of experienced Spanish midfielder Dimas Delgado, the club announced on Tuesday. The 34-year-old Catalan joins the Blues after skippering Western Sydney Wanderers in the Australian A-League and the AFC Champions League. The midfielder becomes the fourth foreign signing for Blues this season and joins fellow countryman Juanan Gonzalez, along with John Johnson and recently signed Erik Paartalu in the side.
Santa Coloma-born Dimas, who began his career at Catalonia-based Spanish lower league side Gramenet in 2002, made the move to FC Barcelona in 2006. He represented FC Barcelona Reserves for two seasons, before joining newly promoted La Liga side Numancia in 2008. He was a mainstay in his side’s midfield racking up 20 top-flight appearances in the club’s third La Liga stint post-2000.
A three-year stint at Numancia was followed by spells at Cartagena (2011-12) and Recreativo Huelva (2012-15) in the Segunda Division. Having played over 400 games in Spanish football, Dimas made his first overseas move joining Western Sydney Wanderers.

PART- 29 (ISL): CFC Press Release - 07.06.2017 : Chennaiyin FC is delighted to announce that they have retained forward Jeje Lalpekhlua and goalkeeper Karanjit Singh after successfully securing new deals with the duo. Jeje has signed a new three-year deal while Karanjit has penned a two-year extension.
“We are very happy to have retained Jeje and Karanjit. Jeje has been with the club since its inception and has grown into a leader and of course become one of the finest players of the country. Ever since we have picked Karanjit in the 2015 ISL auction he has shown grown great commitment and consistency. Jeje, who won the ISL Emerging Player Award in 2015, is Chennaiyin’s all-time second highest scorer and ISL’s all-time highest Indian scorer with 13 goals in 27 starts. Karanjit has made 13 appearances for Chennaiyin so far with four clean sheets.

Less than a week after retaining Sunil Chhetri and Udanta Singh, Bengaluru FC have added to their arsenal in signing Australian midfielder Erik Paartalu on a season-long deal. The Blues have also retained defender Juanan Gonzalez who will join John Johnson for another season at the heart of Bengaluru’s defence. The 31 year old Sydney-born Paartalu began his career in the National Soccer League, now the A-League, with Northern Spirit. His stints in Australia included three seasons with Brisbane Roar when they played AFC Champions League football. At Brisbane, Paartalu won two Championships and one Premiership and played 85 consecutive matches while setting an Australian record of any sporting code with an unbeaten streak of 36 games.
Paartalu moved to Chinese side Tianjin TEDA FC in 2013 before a switch to Thailand with Muangthong United the following year. He was also part of South Korean side Jeonbuk Hyundai for a brief period in the season that side went on to win the AFC Champions League. The midfielder earned his first senior national team cap in 2012, playing in a World Cup Qualifier for the ‘Socceroos’ against Saudi Arabia.

In 2010, Kalu switched his allegiance to Dempo Sports Club, before joining Sporting Clube de Goa next season. Kalu stayed at Sporting for four seasons and finished as the top goal scorer for the Panjim-based club twice in I-League.
KEEPER DEBJIT MAJUMDAR SIGNED FOR ATLETICO DE KOLKATA
PART- 24 (ISL) KFC NEWS DESK - 03.06.2017 : After a long drama in the Indian transfer market, Debjit Mazumdar has signed an agreement with the Indian Super League franchisee, Atletico De Kolkata. Debjit also in negotiations with Mohun Bagan, East Bengal and ISL franchisee Jamshedpur FC and Atletico De Kolkata since last few weeks.
According to the sources Debjit signed in a years contract, though ATK were interested to sign in a long term agreement (3 Years). The deal between Debjit and ATK finalised in record amount which is the first even instance in Indian football.
PART- 23 ( ISL) KFC NEWS DESK - 03.07.2017: John Gregory replaces Marco Materazzi in Chennaiyin FC. Former English Footballer and former Aston Villa, Derby Country & QPR manager appointed as a head coach of Indian Super League side Chennaiyin FC.
Chennaiyin FC owner Vita Dani feels Gregory's vision and personality matches with club's philoshophy and ambition. They are looking forward a great season under his guidance.
“I am excited to have joined Chennaiyin FC & I'd like to thank the club owners for believing in me & giving me this wonderful opportunity.” Gregory told in Club's website.
He added “Chennaiyin is one of the most consistent teams in the ISL so far & I want to continue the great work done by Marco Materazzi. I am determined to help the club win the ISL trophy back for the people of Chennai and Tamil Nadu.”
PART - 22 : 01.07.2017: East Bengal are in discussion with Willis Deon Plaza, the striker from Trinidad and Tobago. Plaza was released by East Bengal at the end of the recently concluded season. But, the team management are of the opinion that Plaza would be the perfect choice in the East Bengal squad in the forth coming season. According to the sources, the discussion are in the final stage at the final stage. It is likely that Willis Plaza will going to sign in fovour of East Bengal shortly.
Willis Plaza scored nine goals for East Bengal in his fourteen appearances in I League and Federation Cup.
MOHUN BAGAN SIGNED SORAM POIREI
PART- 21 - 01.07.2017 : The striker of Minerva Punjab, Manandeep Singh joined the Black Panthers. Manandeep played for East Bengal scored an important goal against Dempo Sports Club at the Federation Cup final at Siliguri 2012.
Mohun Bagan signed the DSK Shivajians goalkeeper Soram Poirei on a years contract. Poirei played from Shillong Lajong FC before he joined the Pune outfit.
Meanwhile, David Rinmuana joined Aizawl FC from East Bengal. East Bengal released David at the of the season. Kean Lewis will going to continue with Delhi Dynamos even Mohun Bagan were interested to sign Lewis. Balwant Singh will going to continue in Mohun Bagan for yet another year even if he had some offers from ISL franchisee. Mohun Bagan are desperately looking for a good striker with Balwant as Jeje Lalpeklua will join an ISL franchisee and Sony Norde yet to finalise his club .

ISL side Mumbai City FC has retained Amrinder Singh for the fourth season
PART-19 - 01.07.2017 : Mumbai City FC has retained Amrinder Singh for the fourth season of the Indian Super League. Amrinder was instrumental in Mumbai City FC’s impressive performances last season, taking the club into the semi-finals.
The 24- year- old captained the Indian team at the AFC under-23 championship qualifiers in Bangladesh in 2016 and since then he is in blistering form. Amrinder made six appearances for Mumbai City FC in season 3 of the ISL, keeping five clean sheets under his belt and also won the ISL Season 3 Golden Glove Award.
On being retained by Mumbai City FC, Amrinder Singh said, “I'm very happy to be back in the city of dreams. Last season with the club was great as we finished top of the table but I'm back to complete the job and give the fans a reason to celebrate.”
