PART-17(ISL) BFC PRESS RELEASE - 30.6.17 : Duo Pen New Three-Year Deals As Blues Start Rebuilding Squad For Maiden Indian Super League Season. In a big statement of intent, Bengaluru FC have retained skipper Sunil Chhetri and Udanta Singh after the duo signed three-year deals that will keep them with the Indian Super League side till the end of the 2019-20 season, the club announced on Friday. With the signings, Bengaluru FC have ticked off the ISL’s rule of a maximum of two retentions for players over twenty-one years.
“We are thrilled at being able to retain the present and the future of Indian football in Sunil and Udanta. The two of them have been immense for Bengaluru FC and will be vital cogs in our wheel as we take on the challenge of rebuilding the club for what will be a tough season ahead,” said club CEO, Parth Jindal.
Chhetri, 32, has been with Bengaluru for four seasons, finishing top scorer for the Blues every year. Udanta, meanwhile, joined Bengaluru in the 2014-15 season and has only grown from strength to strength. The twenty-one-year-old from Manipur capped off a fantastic season under Albert Roca last year where he regular starter and played a key role in the club’s Federation Cup triumph. Udanta was also named Players’ Player and Fans’ Player of the Season at the club’s annual awards night earlier this month.
“I’ve always been vocal about how Bengaluru FC is a club that is always close to my heart and I couldn’t be happier to commit three years to the blue shirt of BFC. The Bengaluru FC fans have always shown me so much of love and I’m glad at the prospect of playing in front of them yet again. With Bengaluru in the ISL, these are exciting times at the club and I’m sure we will build the best possible squad for the season,” said Chhetri, who with 54 goals is also the top scorer for the national team.
Udanta too expressed happiness at extending his stay with Bengaluru. “I’ve progressed and learnt so much in the three years that I’ve been with Bengaluru FC and I’m looking forward to giving the club and its fans three of my best years to come. It’s also reassuring to have Sunil bhai with me here and I’m confident we will be fighting for trophies like we always do,” said Udanta.

A former footballer himself, Moosa has turned out for Air India, Churchill Brothers, East Bengal FC, Mahindra United and Mohammedan Sporting in a career that spanned over 12 years. As coach of the Pune FC U19s, Moosa claimed the U18 I-League twice in three years and won the Pune League in 2016.
“We are very happy to add Naushad to our backroom staff. His experience as a player and coach will add a lot of value to our team and the added responsibility of managing the reserve squad will see him nurture the future stars at BFC,” said club COO Mustafa Ghouse.
While joining Albert Roca and Carles Cuadrat as the Blues’ first team coaches, 46-year-old Moosa will also be at the helm of things for the newly formed BFC reserve side, which looks to bridge the gap between the clubs Residential Youth Academy in Bellary and the first team.

PART-13 - 27.6.17: Debjit Majumdar likely to be the most targetted footballer among the clubs and franchisee in the current Indian transfer market. Though Debjit was ignored in the Indian national team but he has proved himself as the most consistent Goalkeeper in the last two years in the domestic circuit.

PART-12: 26.06.2017 : After confirming Nigerian central defender Kingsley from Aizawl FC, Mohun Bagan are now successful in signing Beton Kamo from I-League Champion 2016-17 Aizawl FC and Agogo Kromah from Churchill Brothers. Beton Kamo, who played for CFL Premier division club George Telegraph, and Goa Pro League champion Salgaocar FC before joining Aizawl FC.
Agogo Kromah, the Liberian midfielder played for Churchill Brothers in last I-League was a regular member of Peerless SC in CFL Premier division League last year.

KFC NEWS DESK - 21.6.17 : Khalid Jamil finally agreed and signed a deal with East Bengal as a chief coach. Khalid was adjudged as the best coach of the year by the All India Football Federation after his successful mission with Aizawl FC in the recently concluded season.
East Bengal officials are in touch with one of the youngest ( 40 years) coach of India since long. Finally Khalid agreed to sign in favour of Red of Gold at Kolkata today in a two years deal. East Bengal were in problem after Trevor Morgan resigned and the newly recruited coach Mridul Banerjee injured himself during the practice session at the flag end of I League.
It is a good gain for East Bengal as Khalid Jamil proved himself time and again during his short spell as a coach. But,it will be a real hard task for him to be successful coach in a high profile club like East Bengal where performance stands as main criteria.
Born at Kuwait City, the AFC Pro License coach Khalid started his carrier with Mumbai FC from where he joined Aizawl FC in the concluding season . As a midfielder Khalid Jamil played for twelve years in Mahindra United and Mumbai FC .Khalid was an important member of Indian national team that won SAAF Cup in the year 1997.
While interacting in the media meeting at Kolkata, Khalid said it's a challenge for him to see East Bengal as the champion club in I League. While answering to a question Khalid said, " I had a dream to play in a big club like East Bengal which eventually did not happen. Now I will fulfill my dream in guiding East Bengal to became the champion club of India. I will proceed step by step. I know that I have to work under pressure. But, I know how to deal with it. I'm ready for this pressure,""
Khalid Jamil was offered by the ISL franchisee Mumbai City FC to join as assistant coach, but he preferred to took the challenge to join East Bengal.
PART-9 : ARNAB MONDAL TO LEAD EAST BENGAL IN 2017-18
KFC NEWS DESK - 20.6.17 : Arnab Mondal to lead East Bengal in the forth coming 2017-18 season. Though Arnab were in the target of ISL franchisee Atletico De Kolkata, but the central are in an agreement with Red and Gold for yet another year. Mehtab Hossain after having a long association with East Bengal will quit finally and he is likely to join the Kerala Blasters to play in the ISL.
East Bengal are in the process of building up a strong squad to play in the CFL which will likely to start in the middle of August. According to a reliable source, Red and Gold likely to register twenty eight footballers for the Kolkata football league and finally make some required changes during the I League.

PART-6: 02.06.2017 : After securing the signature of I-League’s top scorer Aser Pierrick Dipanda, Mohammedan Sporting Club have acquired the service of Nigerian defender Richard Agwu Somtochukwu for the forthcoming Calcutta Football League.
Richard is a well known footballer in Kolkata maidans, has played for various Calcutta Football League clubs in the past such as Kalighat Milan Sangha, Bhawanipore Club and most recently Southern Samity since his first arrival in India.
Beside playing in Kolkata, The 26-year-old also has the experience of playing in I-League 2nd Division for Mumbai based Kenkre FC.
Speaking at the introduction of the defender, Mr. Ghazal uz Zafar, Hony. General Secretary of Mohammedan Sporting Club said, “Richard is known for his intimidating presence on the field. He will have an important role to play and has a lot to offer. I would like to welcome him to the Mohammedan Sporting Club family and wish him all the very best for the season ahead.”
Richard is the second foreign signing done by the 126-year-old club in the summer transfer market.
