30.5.16 : North East United FC signed Mohun Bagan's Japanese midfielder Katsumi Yusa for upcoming season of ‪‎ISL‬.

SUBRATA PAUL JOINS NORTH EAST UNITED
24.5.16 : The ISL franchisee North East United FC signed Indian international goalkeeper Subrata Paul including Nirmal Chetri, Sumit Passi and Souvik Ghosh, Rowllin Borges, for the forth coming season.

CHENNIYIAN FC SIGNS AIFF YOUTH ACADEMY GRADUATES

18.5.16 : The defending champions of ISL Chennaiyin FC have completed the signing of five AIFF Elite Academy graduates – Anirudh Thapa, Prosenjit Chakraborty, Jerry Lalrinzuala, Baoringdao Bodo and Bedashwor Singh - for the club’s youth setup on a long term deal.

The boys were scouted by AIFF in 2012 and were part of the triumphant India U-16 side at the 2013 SAFF Championship in Nepal. They also featured in the 2014 Under-16 Asian Cup Qualifiers in Kuwait in 2013 and many other international exposure tours which were all organised by the AIFF.The quintet also played an important role in AIFF Elite Academy retaining the U-19 I-League title earlier this year and also finished runners-up in the IFA Shield.

The boys are currently having a training stint at French club FC Metz with Chennaiyin FC paying for all the expenses.

16.5.16 :Indian Super League side North East United signed DSK Shivajians's Jerry Mawihmingthanga and Lallianzuala Chhangte for upcoming season of ISL.

North East United last Friday confirmed their new coach for this season, Sergio Farias. Brazilian football manager Farias have impressive coaching record like Brazil U-17, U-20 National team coach, South American Championship title, K-League winner, AFC Champions League winner, 3rd place in FIFA Club World Cup. Sergio said "I want to play fast offensive football.Lots of goals with balance in midfield & defense-Joga Bonito. You will see it on the pitch"

ATLETICO SIGNED A GROUP OF LOCAL FOOTBALLERS

10.05.2016 : It's good gain for Atletico De Kolkata when the signed Dejit Mazumdar and Shilton Pal to play in the third ISL. Debit were at his peak since last two years for Mohun Bagan played for Mumbai City FC while Shilton dawn the colour of the champions of the 2nd ISL Chenniyan FC.

Atletico finalized the agreement with Lalrindika Raltey, Roberts Lalthumunia and Bikash Jairu of East Bengal. Prabir Das of Mohun Bagan and Keegan Perira of Bangaluru FC joined the Kolkata franchisee for the forth coming season.Atletico has retain Arnab Mondal, Sheik Jewel Raja,Ian Hume, Offence Nato and Sameerh Doutie in their squad.

Zodingliana Ralte and Vishal Kaith joined FC Pune City

10.05.2016 : Shillong Lajong's left winger Ralte joined ISL side FC Pune City for the upcoming season. Ralte played North East United and Delhi Dynamos for the last 2 season of ISL. Vishal Kaith, the U-19 goalkeeper of Shillong Lazong Pune franchisee for the upcoming season. AIFF Elite Academy product Kaith played for India U-19 side in AFC U-19 qualifiers.

DUTTARAJ SALGAOCAR & SRINIBAS DEMPO BANNED IN ISL,FINE OF 11 CRORES IMPOSED

ISL PRESS RELEASE- 05.05.2016 : The five member Regulatory Commission of ISL met here in Mumbai over the three days, in continuation of their earlier sittings since February 2016, to hear the submissions of the respective parties in the matter of Football Sports Development Limited vs FC Goa; FC Goa vs Chennaiyin FC; FC Goa vs Elano Blumer and Chennaiyin FC vs FC Goa.

In its final order pronounced today, FC Goa were found in breach of ISL regulations / code of conduct bringing disrepute to the ISL, following the unfortunate incident on 20th December 2015 soon after the Hero ISL final at Fatorda Stadium, Goa. FC Goa were facing the allegations of violating ISL Regulations namely for ‘boycotting match and league ceremony’, ‘public criticism and threatening match officials,’ ‘alleging that the match were fixed,’ and ‘non-adherence of League rules’.

The Regulatory Commission, chaired by Hon’ble Mr Justice D A Mehta (former judge, Gujarat High Court) consists of five independent eminent members from the legal, law enforcement and sports fraternity including, Hon’ble Mr Justice B N Mehta (former judge, Gujarat High Court); Mr D. Sivanandhan (former Director General of Police, Maharashtra); Mr. Vidushpat Singhania (legal professional and sports law expert) and Mr Kiran More (former Indian cricketer).

The Regulatory Commission members were unanimous in arriving at the verdict and sanctioned the following:

Mr. Dattaraj Salgaocar shall be banned from associating with any activity pertaining to ISL matches (including entering stadium) for three (3) ISL seasons.

Mr. Srinivas Dempo shall be banned from associating with any activity pertaining to ISL matches (including entering stadium) for two (2) ISL seasons.

FC Goa team shall be docked 15 (fifteen) points in the next ISL season.

A sum of Rs 10 crore (Rupees Ten Crores Only) shall be paid by FC Goa to FSDL towards penalty / fine as well as costs.

A sum of Rs 1 crore (Rupees One Crore Only) shall be paid by FC Goa to Chennaiyin FC towards costs. The Regulatory Commission, having heard the parties at length ruled out FC Goa’s claims on ‘Double Jeopardy’ and ISL Regulatory Commissions’ lack of ‘Jurisdiction’.

All the parties have the option to exercise their right to appeal under the ISL League rules to the ISL Appeals Panel comprising of Hon’ble former Chief Justice of Bombay High Court Mr. Kshitij R Vyas.

JOSE MOLINA JOINS ATK AS HEAD COACH

03.05.2016 : Atletico de Kolkata announced today the appointment of José Francisco Molina Jiménez as the Head Coach, for the third edition of Indian Premier League.José Molina represented his national side Spain at the 1998 World Cup and two European Championships in 1996 and 2000.Molina had been the manager of teams like Getafe B, Villarreal C, Villarreal B, Villarreal, and Kitchee. Jose Molina replaced by Antonio Habas who was managing Atlético de Kolkata in the first two edition of ISL, joined Pune City FC for the upcoming season.

Molina had a successful strint in Kitchees a club of HongKong where he achieved a remarkable domestic treble with the Premier League, League Cup and FA Cup and he guided Kitchee to the AFC Cup quarter finals.

José Francisco Molina Jiménez played as a goalkeeper, where he spent 11 years of his professional career at Atlético Madrid and Deportivo de La Coruña. Sanjeeb Goenka, one of the co owner of Atlético de Kolkata in his massage said, “I welcome José Molina into our Atlético de Kolkata family. Molina’s experience with leading clubs of Spain and other parts of the world makes him an ideal candidate to take our on field performance few notches higher in his forthcoming assignment.

He will be instrumental in building the team’s strategy and help us select some good prospective footballers for the upcoming season. We wish him all the success and I am definitely sure that he will showcase the finest quality of football under his able guidance that has become synonymous to Atlético de Kolkata.“
