06.06.2017 : CHANDIGARH YOUTH LEAGUE: FINAL RESULTS
The Chandigarh Youth League concluded among great festivities and fanfare at the Sector 17 Football Stadium as Red Devils FC, Rising Soldiers FC, Kabir FC and 5 Warriors FC were crowned champions of the first edition in the 19 Years and above, 16-18 Years, 13-15 Years and 9-12 years age groups respectively.

In the morning third place matches of each age group took place in the morning. In the 9 to 12 years age group Khalsa FC locked horns with KV FC for the third place match. KV FC who had been favourites all along and narrowly missed out on qualifying for the finals when they lost out on penalties in the semi finals. They were determined to secure the third spot and came out with all guns blazing and with some great coordination between players won the match 1-0. Vedansh of Khalsa FC was awarded man of the match.

In the 13-15 years age group Chelsea FC met Arsenal FC and it was Arsenal who got the better of the close fight between the teams. Arsenal FC scored their first and only goal in the 20th minute and though Chelsea FC fought valiantly for an equaliser till the last minute, Arsenal won the match and sealed tried place with a 1-0 victory. Alfred of CR7 FC was awarded man of the match trophy.

In the 16-18 years age group Juventus FC met King Warrior FC in a thrilling encounter. King Warrior FC won the match with a comfortable 3-0 scoreline to secure third place in their age group. Saurav of Juventus Fc was awarded man of the match award. In the 19 Years and above age group CR7 played off against 7 Warrior FC. Both teams shoed great intent but it was CR7 who won the match with a convincing 2-0 victory.

In the evening the stage was set for the final with more than 500 spectators coming down to witness the finals. Minerva Punjab FC I-League Players Simranjeet Singh, Manandeep Singh, Kamalpreet Singh, Arshdeep Singh and Nuruddin shook hands with the finalists before kick off of the finals.

In the finals of the 9-12 years age group Real Madrid FC took on 5 Warrior FC in a neck to neck encounter. Both teams started off in search of the opener from the first whistle and played end to end football. Shashank of 5 Warrior FC was awarded man of the match prize.

In the 13-15 years age group Kabir FC locked horns with Stephen FC and what ensued was a thrilling encounter for the 500 odd spectators. It was Kabir FC who scored first, but Stephan FC regrouped and scored the equaliser within minutes. The score was now 1-1, and Kabir FC started raiding the opposition in hopes to getting the lead again and they were rewarded when Shaurya of Kabir FC combined beautifully with his team mate to make the score 2-1. Stephens though disheartened started pressing for the equaliser once more and were rewarded when they made the score 2-2 just minutes before the full time whistle. The match went into penalties and Kabir FC won the clash 3-2 on penalties and were crowned champions of their age group. Shashank of Kabir Fc was awarded manor the match.

In the 16-18 years age group Rising Soldiers FC lined up to take on Tiger FC in a closely contested and physical final. Rising Soldiers who had been favourites all along got a tough fight from Tiger FC. It was the Rising Soldiers who scored first and took the lead but Tigers FC were not about the go down without a fight. They equalised 6 minutes before the final whistle and the match was tied 1-1 at full time. It was once again time for penalties to decide the winners and Rising Soldiers FC won 7-6 on penalties to be crowned champions of the 16-18 years age group. Man of the match was Ashish of Tiger FC. In the 19 years and above age group there was tough contest between Red Devils FC and Invincible FC. Both teams played end to end football but owing to some great defending by both teams either could breach the goal. The match went into full time 0-0 and winner was decided by penalties. In the end Red Devils won the match 3-2 on penalties. Rudra of Invincible Fc was crowned man of the match.

In the 9-12 years age group Akash Kumar Shah of KV FC was awarded best player of the tournament prize. Highest scorer, Rudra of 5 warrior FC and Best goalkeeper Vikrant of Red Devils. In 13-15 years group Shaurya of Kabir FC was given best player of the tournament award. Highest scorer, Raunak of Kabir FC and Best goalkeeper Ayush Gautam of Stephan AC.

In the 16-18 years group, Rohan Mehta of rising Soldiers Fc was declared best player. Highest scorer, Harsh of Rising Soldier FC and Best goalkeeper Aashish. In the 19 years and above group Rudra of Invincible FC was declared best player. Highest scorer, Kulbir of Invincible FC and Best goalkeeper Vikrant of Red Devils. Outstanding performance trophies were given to Jugraj, Aashish, Inder, Gola, Arman, Rajat, Rasheel.

05.06.2017 : CHANDIGARH YOUTH LEAGUE: ALL TEAMS READY FOR FINALE
Chandigarh Youth League kicked off with Day 10, the penultimate day of matches at Sector 17 Football Stadium. The Chandigarh Youth League is being organised from 27th May to 6th June by Minerva Punjab FC in association with Chandigarh Football Association and Mission XI Million at Sector 17 Football Stadium.

Day 9 and Day 10 of matches kicked off and teams of the 16-18 Years, 13-15 Years and 9-12 Age Groups played their last round of matches in the morning and evening at the Sector 17 football stadium amidst festive atmosphere. Matches were played in 7-a-side format and each team was mentored by a Minerva Punjab FC Coach.

On Day 9, Semi finals of of the 19 Years and Above age Group were held on Day Nine in which Red Devils FC clashed with 7 warrior FC. Red Devils who have been the tournament favourites so far and reached the finals with an emphatic 4-0 victory. In the second semi final of this age group CR 7 lost out 2-1 in a close and hard fought match against Invincible FC to storm into the final.

On Day 9, In the 13-15 age group, Kabir FC initial favourites of this group, who were upset by Arsenal FC n their last encounter regained their pride with a thumping 6-1 victory over Rising Star FC.

In the same age group, other group favourites Arsenal FC defeated ManU FC 3-0. Chelsea FC managed a 2-0 win against Stephen AC. Stephen FC beat bottom of the table Warrior FC 2-0.

Rising Soldiers FC, Juventus FC , Tiger FC and King Warrior FC qualified for the semi finals from this age group. The Semi Finals of this age group took place this morning as Rising Soldiers FC locked horn sixth Juventus FC. The match was a rather one side one as group favoured thumped Juventus FC 6-0 was a convincing entry into the finals. In the other semi final, Tiger FC edged past King Warrior Fc with a narrow 1-0 victory. Tiger FC qualified for the finals of this age group.

In the 16-18 Age Group;
On Day 9, Tiger FC beat Chelsea FC 3-1 in a rather one sided game as Chelsea FC tried to weather out the storm of Tiger FC attacks and managed to score a consolation goal.

In a nail biter of a game in this age group, King Warrior FC narrowly beat Champion FC for a 1-0 win to enter the semi finals. In another match of this age group, Rising Soldiers FC beat Juventus FC 3-1 to stop into the semi finals. Rising Soldier FC, Juventus FC, Tiger FC and King Warrior FC qualified for the semi finals from this age group. The Semi Finals of this age group took on Day 10, this morning as Rising Soldiers FC locked horn sixth Juventus FC. Finals of the 16-18 Years, 13-15 Years and 19 Years and above age group and 9 years and above will be played on 6th June at the Sector 17 Football Stadium from 4.30 PM onwards. Matches for the 3rd Places will be played from 6 AM onwards. Finals and Prize distribution will be held among great fanfare and Minerva Punjab FC I-lLeague Players will grace the occasion. Prizes will be given out to winners, runners up of each age group and prizes of best goalkeeper, best midfielder, best striker and best defender will also be given out on the day of the final.

03.06.2017 : Chandigarh Youth League- Real Madrid & 5 Warrior FC Qualify for Finals
Chandigarh Youth League kicked off with Day 8 of matches today at Sector 17 Football Stadium. The Chandigarh Youth League is being organised from 27th May to 6th June by Minerva Punjab FC in association with Chandigarh Football Association and Mission XI Million at Sector 17 Football Stadium.

Day Eight of matches kicked off and teams of the 16-18 Years, 13-15 Years and 9-12 Age Groups played their next round of matches in the morning and evening at the Sector 17 football stadium amidst festive atmosphere. Matches were played in 7-a-side format and each team was mentored by a Minerva Punjab FC Coach.

The competition was stronger than ever as all teams tried to get as many points as possible to qualify for the semi finals. There were upsets and unexpected results in each group making the race to the semi finals a close and exciting one.

In the 13-15 age group, one of the favourites of this age group, Kabir FC who had defeated Warrior FC 8-0 in their last match were upset by Arsenal FC who took away all 3 points after a thrilling 2-1 victory. Arman of Arsenal Fc was awarded Man of the match.

In the same age group, other group favourites Rising Star FC defeated Warrior FC 5-0 as Warrior FC slid to the bottom of the table. Aryan of Rising Star FC was awarded Man of the match.

Chelsea FC managed a though win against Man U FC, both teams came in with the intent to cement their semi final spot and though Man U FC attacked till the last minute, some good defending by the Chelsea FC boys kept them at bay to collect all three points from the encounter. Sagar of Chelsea FC was declared the man of the match. Stephen AC and Stephen FC played out a goalless draw. Both teams from the same school fought for bragging rights but neither could break the stalemate and they ended up splitting points. Vansaj of Stephen FC was awarded Man of the match trophy.

In the 16-18 Age Group; Tiger FC beat Juventus FC 4-1 in a rather one sided game, Juventus FC tried to weather out the storm of Tiger FC attacks and managed to score a consolation goal. Inder of Tiger FC was awarded Man of the match In a nail biter of a game in this age group, Chelsea FC drew 1-1 with Rising Soldier FC as bother teams fought for the second place in the table to go through for the semi finals. Ankit of Chelsea FC was awarded Man of the match title and trophy.

In the evening Semi Final matches of the 8-12 Years age group took place amidst great fanfare. There was a lot of support for each team as parents flocked to see their kids shine in the semi finals. Ananya Kamboj, an 8th standard student from Vivek High School, Mohali, who has been selected to represent India as a Young Journalist at the global FOOTBALL FOR FRIENDSHIP (F4F) social program to be held in Russia, was the guest of honour for the occasion and shook hands with the players before the match.

The teams of this age group showed great fighting spirit and were eager to reach the finals.

In the first semi final, Real Madrid locked horns with favourites of this age group, KV FC. Both teams defended with great intent managed to string together some good moves. The competition was tough and the nerves of the semi final showed both in players of both teams and the Minerva coaches mentoring them. The teams drew 0-0 at full time and the winner was decided through penalties. In the end Real Madrid qualified for the finals in what was a major upset for KV FC who had their eyes on the trophy. Shashank of Real Madrid Fc was declared man of the match.

In the second semi final, Khalsa FC met 5 Warriors FC and in this game too both teams gave each other stiff competition to qualify for the final. The match ended up in ageless draw 0-0 and the winner was decided through penalties. 5 Warrior FC stole the spot for the finals and it was heartbreak for Khalsa FC who had become the crowd favourites. Amitoj of 5 Warrior FC was awarded man of the match for the match. Real Madrid and 5 Warrior FC qualified for the finals of the 8-12 years age group, to be held on 6th June, 2017.

Semi finals of the 16-18 Years, 13-15 Years and 19Years and above age group will be played on 5th June and Finals will be played on 6th June at the Sector 17 Football Stadium.

Prizes will be given out to winners, runners up of each age group and prizes of best goalkeeper, best midfielder, best striker and best defender will also be given out on the day of the final.

Chandigarh Youth League kicked off with Day 7 of matches today at Sector 17 Football Stadium. The Chandigarh Youth League is being organised from 27th May to 6th June by Minerva Punjab FC in association with Chandigarh Football Association and Mission XI Million at Sector 17 Football Stadium.

Day Seven of matches kicked off and teams of the 19 Years and above, 16-18 Years, 13-15 Years and 9-12 Age Groups played their next round of matches in the morning and evening at the Sector 17 football stadium amidst festive atmosphere. Matches were played in 7-a-side format and each team was mentored by a Minerva Punjab FC Coach.

Special games were held for parents who were accompanying the kids to the matches. They took part in Blindfold penalty challenge where they were blindfolded and spun around before taking a penalty kick. Prizes like Mission XI Million and Minerva Punjab were distributed for the winners of these fun and interactive games.

The morning saw matches of the 8-12 Years age group which are always a joy to watch, Real Madrid and KV FC locked horns in a tough encounter. Both teams gave each other stiff competition as both teams fought to top the league table in their age group. The match ended up in ageless draw 0-0.

In the other encounter in this age group, Bayern Munich FC took on 5 Warrior FC in the evening and though the Bayern Munich kids showed great character on the field they lost out 5-1 to 5 Warriors FC.

In the 13-15 age group, one of the favourites of this age group, Kabir FC gave Warrior Fc an 8-0 thumping to secure second place in the league table. In the same age group, Chelsea FC breezed past Arsenal FC as they won 2-0. Rising Star FC vs Stephen AC in this age group was a tough encounter and both teams came out with intent to win the match but could not put the ball in the back of the net. They ended up splitting points for a goalless draw.

In the most thrilling encounter of the age group Stephen FC beat Man U FC 2-1 in a brisk paced match which saw both team playing end to end football. In the end Stephen FC got the better of the fight and took away all three points.

In the 16-18 Age Group; Tiger FC beat Champion FC 5-0 in a one sided game, Champion FC though showed lot of determination but just could not string together any promising moves to come back into the game. Chelsea FC drew 1-1 with King Warrior FC as both teams fought to stay out of the bottom zone of the league table standings of their age group.

In the 19 Years and Above Category; 7 Warrior FC were squashed 9-0 by Red Devils FC who dominated proceeding from the first whistle. The Red Devils improved their goal difference tremendously with this victory and shot up to the top of the table. In the other match of the age group CR 7 lost 2-0 to Invincible FC who shot up to the second place in the league table with the win.

In the 8-12 age group another match was played in the morning between Khalsa FC and Bayern Munich FC. Khalsa FC which also comprises of young girls have been the crowd favourite in this age group. Khalsa FC lost 2-0 to Bayern Munich and put up a spirited show and Jugraj was awarded man of the match award.

In the 13-15 age group, Kabir FC defeated Chelsea FC by a 2 goals and though Chelsea FC brought for a come back till the end, Kabir FC took away all 3 points. Share was awarded man of the match award. In the same age group, Warrior FC edged past Stephen AC by a solitary goal and custodian Aayush Gautam was awarded man of the match award.

In a thrilling encounter between Rising Star FC and ManU FC, Manu U FC won the match 3-2 with both teams giving it their all till the final whistle. Naman was awarded man of the match. Arsenal FC beat Stephen FC 3-1 in a brisk paced match which saw both team playing end to end football. In the end Arsenal FC got the better of the fight and Rushul was awarded man of the match award.

In the 16-18 Age Group; Champion FC beat Juventus FC 1-0 in a closely contested game and Guntaz was awarded Man of the match award. Favourites Rising Solider FC won 7-1 to King Warrior FC and Kush was awarded Man of the match trophy.

30.05.2017 : Chandigarh Youth League kicked off with Day 3 of matches today at Sector 17 Football Stadium. The Chandigarh Youth League is being organised from 27th May to 11th June by Minerva Punjab FC in association with Chandigarh Football Association and Mission XI Million at Sector 17 Football Stadium.

Day Three of matches kicked off and teams of the 19 Years and Above, 16-18 Years, 13-15 Years and 9-12 Age Groups played their third round of matches in the morning and evening at the Sector 17 football stadium amidst festive atmosphere. Matches were played in 7-a-side format and each team was mentored by a Minerva Punjab FC Coach.

The special highlight of the day was when Minerva Punjab FC I-legaue star players Simranjeet, Ramandeep, Arshdeep and Manandeep visited the Sector 17 Ground in the evening and had a meet and greet with all the budding footballers present at the stadium. They played an exhibition match with youngsters who were excited to meet the players they had been following on TV during the I-League ran up the shake hands and take selfies with their idols. The I-League players shook hands with all the players and gave away the Man of the match trophies to the kids.

Special games were held for parents who were accompanying the kids to the matches. They took part in Dizzy penalty challenge where they were to spin around with one hand on the ball before taking a penalty kick. Prizes like Mission XI Million and Minerva Punjab were distributed for the winners of these fun and interactive games.

In the first match of the day of the 19 Years and above age group there were a tough and competitive match between Red Devils FC and CR7 FC. Both the teams were made up of experienced players who were keen for a good fight. The match started off on a brisk pace and through Red Devils FC may have been more flamboyant in their style, CR7 boys maintained a strict high pressing strategy and did not give Red Devils space to play. The match was a close one and ended up in favour of CR 7 who won it 1-0. Shivam was awarded Man of the Match trophy. In another morning match of the 19 years and above Category Invincible FC defeated 7 warrior FC 2-8 in fast paced and free flowing encounter. Though Warrior FC created some good chances, they lacked a quality finisher which was their downfall. Also lacking in defence, the full backs of 7 Warrior FC allowed too much movement for the players of Invincible FC who capitalised and scored 8 goals in the match. Rudra was awarded man of the match prize as he scored a hattrick.

The morning also saw matches of the 8-12 Years age group which are always a joy to watch. 5 Warriors FC took on Real Madrid FC and the young players showed great grit and determination and intent. The improvement seen in the kids from the first match to the third was tremendous. 5 warriors FC won the match 1-0 and Fateh was awarded Man of the Match Award.

In the 8-12 age group another match was played in the morning between Khalsa FC and KV FC. KV FC have been the team to beat in this age group. Khalsa FC tried their best to defend the goal and avoid too much damage. Jugraj managed to score the only goal for Khalsa FC and the match ended 4-1 in favour of KVFC and Shashank scored 3 goals. Akash was awarded Man of the match trophy.

In the evening matches, of the 13-15 age group, Kabir FC defeated Stephen FC by a solitary goal and though both teams fought till the end, Kabir FC took away all 3 points and Aayush Gautam was awarded Man of the Match Award. In the same age group, Chelsea FC played out a goalless draw with Stephen AC. Both teams tried to break the deadlock but with no one being able to score, the teams ended up splitting points. Tegh Brar was awarded Man of the Match.

In the 16-18 Age Group; four matches were held in the evening.
Rising Soilders FC thrashed Tiger FC 10-2 and Arsh was awarded Man of the match award.
Champions FC lost 5-0 to Chelsea FC and Nayak was awarded Man of the match trophy.
Arsenal FC defeated Rising Star FC 5-0 in another one sided encounter and Jaitesh was awarded Man of the match.
Last match of the day between Man U FC and Warrior FC was a close encounter and ended up 1-0 in favour of Man U FC with Ajay declared as Man of the Match.

Day Two of matches kicked off and teams of the 16-18 Years, 13-15 Years and 9-12 Age Groups played their second round of matches in the morning and evening at the Sector 17 football stadium amidst festive atmosphere. 27.05.2017 : Chandigarh Youth League kicked off with Day 1 of matches today at Sector 17 Football Stadium. The Chandigarh Youth League is being organised from 27th May to 11th June by Minerva Punjab FC in association with Chandigarh Football Association and Mission XI Million at Sector 17 Football Stadium.

Day One of matches kicked off and teams of the 19 Years and Above, 16-18 Years, 13-15 Years and 9-12 Age Groups played their first round of matches in the morning and evening at the Sector 17 football stadium amidst festive atmosphere. Matches were played in 7-a-side format and each team was mentored by a Minerva Punjab FC Coach. Man of the match was announced after each match and presented a trophy. Not just the kids but the parents also took part in fun games and football related challenges and got to win prizes too.
