5th "Gadhinglaj Super League football Tournament (GSL)"
18.05.2016 : Gadhinglaj United football Association, Kolhapur, Maharashtra will organize 5th edition of "Gadhinglaj Super League football Tournament (GSL)" which will be started on and from 20th to 24th May 2016. To boost the young footballers in the district and local area the Association is going to organize the Tounament for U-14 to U-19 upcoming players. on 20th May at 3.00 pm the Tournament will start.
The Association Secretary Mr. Deepak told that the total Prize Money of the Tournament will be INR RS. 50000/-. Not only that the 120 young footballers who will participate in the Tournament for 8 teams will be given an worth of 1,50000/- football kits. Other than Cash Prize Freeze, Mobile, Bicycle will be the prizes for best players. Why this tournament? Deepak also said "For senior footballers there are so many tournaments in the District and State but the young and upcoming footballers have less opportunity to show their talents. The organisor of Gadhinglaj United FC decided to organised such tournament which will help the young footballers to show their talent. A separate U-23 and U-21 Football tournament also be introduced in this this year 2016 where Kolhapur, Belgaum, Gargoti, Ahmadnager, Gadhinglaj, Miraj teams will participate.
He also said that, in this tournament players from Goa, Bengluru, Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Kolhapur, Miraj, Belgaum, Akola, Amravati, Hubali, Solapur, Bhusawal will be participated. There will be 4 matches daily in the morning & evening session. He added Gadhinglaj have a glorious past in football history over 90 years.
Who will participate in this tournament? Deepak Told that, the palyers has got entry from the Selection trials held on 16 & 17 May at M.R. High school ground. Players auction for franchises held on 17th May.
Anything special? He said - "SAVE WATER" is the theme of the Tournament and the participating boys and teams will walk in a rally on 19th May evening.
