Bharat FC had a good introduction in Indian football. At Pune today then stun Dempo Sports Club when the match ends in a goal less draw. It was the first competitive match for Bharat FC and the debutant team from Pune survived some early attacks from Dempo, but came back strongly in the later part.

The first half was a goalless affair. Dempo dominated the proceedings as as they began attacking right from the start. Mandar Rao Desai was almost closed in the sixth minute when Holicharan Narzary who was down the flank passed the ball to Rao who pulled a good cross which went wide. The Goans had another chance to take the lead when Carlos Hernandez, who was a few yards away from the goal took a shot which sadly sailed above the goal post.

Bharat Fc had some good openings in the second session which Stuart Watkiss boys failed to convert. Steven Dias got another chance when he took shot directly towards the goal, it was then that Dempo captain Calum Angus cam in between and his header ensured that the ball was out of the danger area.

Dempo continued to create pressure in the Bharat FC citadel, but unable to beat Arimdam Bhattacharjee, the Bharat FC goal keeper. Arindam saved a number of shots and rightly adjudged the Hero of The Match.

The match stopped twice in the first session due to poor light.The referee of the match Ranjit Bakshi were forced to stop the game due to power failure in the ground. Dempo are currently placed at the forth position with two points and Bharat Fc are in the seventh position with a point.

The newly-launched franchisee football club based at Pune, Bharat FC will going to play their introductory match of the 2014-15 Hero I-League season at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports on Saturday evening against the strong outfit of Indian football Dempo Sports Club.

Bharat FC, owned by the Pune-based Kalyani Group, was conceptualized in August 2014, with the All India Football Federation (AIFF) awarding it direct entry into the I-League at the end of August. The team was officially christened Bharat FC on November 23. Since then, the club has rapidly acquired its entire coaching staff along with a robust player roster. Stuart Watkiss, the British coach of Bharat FC had a short preseason of three weeks

So, it can be said that Bharat FC are yet to combine though they had three wins in the practice matches. Bharat FC have signed some of the experienced footballers of Indian football - MehrajuddinWadoo, Steven Dias, DharmarajRavana, Arindam Bhattacharya, Adil Khan, Lester Fernandez, Subash Singh, Manjit Singh and Surojit Bose. Kris Bright and Bobby Hassell, are the two foreigners in the squad through the participation of the marquee footballer from Benin RomualdBoco are doughtful.

The Bharat FC coach Stuart Watkiss in the pre match media meeting said, “We want to play attractive football but at the same time we want to marry it to an effective style of play. We have players who are very talented and creative but we want it to be effective. We want to play a high-tempo game and I will be a happy man if I see my team doing that".

After being shared point with Bangaluru FC in the first match Dempo Sports Club are eager to earn full points in their second match. Aurthur Papas are confident enough and are optimistic for a favorable result in the I league. But Dempo will miss the services of their in form striker Tolgey Ozbey and the Afghanistan international Haroon Amiri due to injury.

The chances of Narayan Das and Jewel Raja in the final line up will be decided on tomorrow morning.Aurthur Papas the chief coach of Dempo Sports Club in the pre match press meeting said, "We would like to welcome Bharat FC to the league. We don't know a lot about them but we are confident in our abilities. I am really happy with all my players and even with all our injuries, we are performing very well".
