20th April 2012. It will not just be any ordinary day atleast for the Indian football fanatics as a befitting climax awaits to the current I League campaign with the Clash of the Titans between Dempo and Kingfisher East Bengal.

The season has been filled with a topsy turvy feast exibhiting capricious outcomes. And come this Friday, the I League will probably be presented with its newest holder as the battle of true grit is set to enthuse the excitement quotient.

....With match of such a magnitude awaiting, one of the most decorated footballers of all time, a former Mohammedan SC, Mahindra United, George Telegraph, Mohun Bagan, East Bengal and prolific striker of Indian International and a current expert analyst of current I-LEAGUE Boradcasting TV Channel News Time , Dipendu Biswas expresses his viewpoints on probably the biggest fixture of this I League season exclusively to the premier Football Website of India .

Who will be the winner in this royal battle ?

DIPENDU : It will be the most crucial match in this year's I - league. Dempo will play in their home ground in front of their supporters which is really an advantage for any team. If Dempo loses point they will get another chance in their next match. I can assure you that you will see a different East Bengal who will play a really attacking football as because they will get their last chance to play for the I - league tittle on 20th.

How would you rate the East Bengal deep defence in absence of Opara ?

DIPENDU : Uga Opara is suspended due to the double booking . He will be replaced by Raju Gaikwad who at present is the most promising deep defender in the Indian national squad. He along with Gurwinder Singh will be in charge of the East Bengal deep defense. Nirmal Chettri will be in the right back position. I personally feel that East Bengal should depute Roberts in the position of left back as his defensive quality is stronger than Saumik Dey and also he has an experience of playing more matches in the Jawharlal Nehru stadium at Goa. So this deep defense in strong enough to combat any odd situations.

Which Team will enjoy the advantage ?

DIPENDU : I think that Dempo will enjoy an advantage. The team Dempo is playing for years with the same sets of players and also under the same coach Armando Calaco. They are playing a real team game than any other teams in the I - league. I can give you an example also. If we consider the Mohunbagan match at Kolkata we have seen Dempo overcome the situation of their team game under temendous pressure and leveled the score at 2-2. But now the situation is this that East Bengal is ready to give 200 percent. We will going to see an inspired East Bengal at Goa on 20th evening.

How would you rate the midfields of both the teams?

DIPENDU : Yes, both the teams has got a strong midfeild. East Bengal is likely to start with Penn, Mehtab, Khabra and Sanju. Mehtab and Khabra will start as defensive midfielder while Sanju and Penn will work as the linking pin with the upfront. Though I think Mehtab is the key man in the East Bengal midfield.

If Mehtab is successul in his duties then the story will be a different one. Dempo will going to start most likely with Climax, Clifford, Denzil and Anthony, with Joakim in the later parts. This midfield apart from Denzil are playing for last few years and they have a good combination and relation between them. Dempo is using their wing half's mainly during the attacks. So it can be said that both the teams are having good and quality midfielders who has got the individual brilliance. So it will be a royal battle in the midfield.

Your views on Dempo"s deep defense ?

DIPENDU : Dempo's deep defense is quite slow. The wing backs after over lapping, their pace was rather sluggish in taking position again. There is a good rapport between the two stoppers Mahesh and Antao which is noticeable, but they seemed to be lack momentum sometimes.

As a result Dempo's defense got week in the face of counter attacks of the opposition. Here East Bengal can have some advantage. The red and gold forward line headed by Tolgey Ozbey is fast to react in the counter attacks. Penn can move with the ball in sheer speed, even the side backs of East Bengal can overlap fast. This is really an advantage which East Bengal is having.

What will be the strategy of East Bengal to control Ranty ?

DIPENDU : I personally feel that East Bengal will adopt the strategy of man marking and zonal marking. Mr Morgan is experienced enough to implement according to the situation. The absence of Opara is really a factor but still I have faith on the deep defence of the red and gold who are capable of handling any odd situation.

East Bengal should keep in mind that not only Ranty Martins but Koko Sakibo should not be neglected . The brilliance of Koko's form assures that Indian football can add one more gem to its list of foreign footballers. Koko not only scored in several matches, but he has pulled out Dempo in many games from awkward situations.

With 150 goals in the Premier League is the first midfielder who gets such a feat and is eight goals from Kerry Dixon, the second top scorer in the history of Chelsea.

However, its performance has gone down these past few seasons, being a regular substitute Villas-Boas to his dismissal. With Di Matteo, who returns to trust the old guard blue , has become the team in a rearmost position, leaving the midfielder to Mata, who will be responsible for connecting with Drogba in attack.

The Ivorian is one of the heavyweights of clothing and one of the most charismatic. He arrived in 2004 to hit book (37 million) and has become the only nine can be consolidated in the English. At 34 years remains a constant threat in the penalty area, maintaining its power and good shot with both legs.

Continuity in the team despite the constant rumors of his departure that surround each season reinforces his love for a club that has allowed him to become one of the best strikers in the world. Except surprise, the three veterans will hold in the Chelsea-Barca and will try to avenge the elimination suffered last three seasons ago with one goal anthology of Iniesta in the discount . Barca, meanwhile, want to return to an end leaving the tie aimed at Stamford Bridge, which won last time in 2006.

Chelsea Team News: For Chelsea, they'll be buoyed by the news that skipper John Terry has overcame his rib injury along with left-back Ashley Cole who has sorted out his ankle problem, so both are likely to start.

Ryan Bertrand has a calf issue and Oriol Romeu, who left Barcelona to join the Blues last year, is suffering from illness so both are both doubts for the tie. David Luiz, the Brazilian centre-half injured his hamstring during the FA Cup win over Tottenham at the weekend and has been ruled out for a fortnight. Gary Cahill could start in his place while Branislav Ivanovic is available.

Barcelona Team News: Barcelona have midfielder Seydou Keita listed as a doubt (thigh). Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has been out with a thigh strain but is back in contention, while David Villa and Eric Abidal remain sidelined. Lionel Messi is expected to start up top with Andres Iniesta and Xavi Hernandez supplying the forward.
