Indoor Astroturf at Mubai by Mumbai Rush Soccer.

PRESS RELEASE : Mumbai Rush Soccer the 1st academy in Mumbai and possibly in India to start its Centre of Excellence on indoor Astroturf at 'The Arena' at Andheri in Mumbai.

Mumbai Rush Soccer has partnered with 'The Arena' to conduct a Free Soccer Clinic on 15th August from 1pm to 5pm followed by developmental tournament on 17th Aug 2013 from 1pm to 4pm. Mr. Mitch Bickmore Technical director of MRSC and a USSF 'A' certified coach from USA will be introducing the participants to age specific progression, which is a very important player development building block, but sadly missed out in Indian football.

Considering the football training infrastructure in Mumbai, The Arena is a great place to train the players especially for U8 to U12 yrs trainees, the indoor Astroturf enables high quality uninterrupted training during all season and time, it also takes care of the players safety, says Mitch Bickmore.

Dempo SC partners with school in Mapusa

DEMPO PRESS RELEASE : Dempo Sports Club has joined hands with St. Brittos High School Mapusa, to train and adopt elite young players for the age group teams of Dempo SC. In a formal function held at the club house, the Headmaster of St. Brittos High School, Fr. Cedric Fernandes signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the presence of Club Director Mr. Shrinivas V. Dempo and Head Coach Arthur Papas.

Fr. Cedric expressed his gratitude towards the club and urged Dempo management to harness talents from North Goa so as to make Dempo a complete community based team. "Traditionally not many football clubs have been able to tap the talent from North Goa. But, with Dempos showing interest towards our players I am sure there will be many stars in football from North Goa." said Fr. Cedric.

The club is revamping their youth structure by creating larger opportunities for young players to showcase their talent. Their main focus will be to develop players in the age bracket of 14 to 18 years old and induct the finest talents into their age group teams.

Keeping a close look at the proceedings will be Dempo's Head Coach Arthur Papas" Player development is something which is close to my heart, It is better for us if we open such football centers for the junior teams so that the best players can be spotted at the right age" said Mr. Papas. A training plan is being devised by the junior coaches of the club under the supervision of Mr. Papas which will be custom made for each adopted school teams.

Club Director Mr. Shrinivas Dempo distributed the kit to the children and expressed his happiness over the project "I am glad that we have taken this initiative to reach to the various schools and spot talents among them. The main idea behind this plan is to develop the overall personality of the children along with creating opportunities for them to play at a higher level. Over the years, we would like to train and develop the best among them for our senior teams" said Mr. Dempo.

According the MoU signed by the Club, the school children will receive knowledge and training about fitness within the game, sharpening of their technical skills, guidance on proper nutrition and exercise, injury prevention seminars along with a proposal for holding football camps for school children in Mapusa. Dempo SC will be providing the entire kit to the school for the season. Last month, the club had signed a similar MoU with Fr. Agnel's High School, Pilar. Both the schools have been fairly successful in football tournaments across Goa.


Freedom Football League 2013 organized by Jaipur Football Club

JFC PRESS RELEASE : Freedom Football League started in the most awaited monsoons of Rajasthan. It was an awesome weather and the drizzle started as soon as the whistle blew for the first match of the day between, Demolition FC & Fusion FC. In the first half it was only 2 minutes when Kunal scored the first goal and then Prasanjeet added the flavor by scoring one more in the first half.

Fusion FC tried their level best to invade the defense line but were not successful. The game ended with the score of 2-0 and Demolition FC was the winner for the match. Second Match was between Jaipur Heroes FC & Infosys FC (The IT Giant of India).

A tough match towards the first half where both teams scored three goals each and it looked like it was going to be a nail bitting second half. As soon as the second half started the two long shoots one by Shiv and the other by Amay was converted into a winning lead and made the score 5-3 which the Corporate giant could not meet up. Jaipur Heroes had goals coming in from Kevin, Bhupendra, Swapnil, Amay and Shiv and the three goals from Infosys FC came from Vikas (1) and Ankur (2).

The date of the Final match is planned for 15th August
