After the successful implementation in FIFA Club World Cup 2012 in Japan, FIFA finally allowed to use of Goal Line Technology in 2013 Confederations Cup and 2014 World Cup.

FIFA President Blatter has pushed for goal-line technology ever since he watched Frank Lampard denied goal in England's defeat by Germany in the 2010 World Cup. FIFA said it is now seeking tenders from companies which want their system to be used at the Confederations Cup in June and next year's World Cup.

The technical requirements of GLT are listed in another article at where it emphasizes 4 points. Firstly, the technology must be used only for goals not for any other decision; secondly, it must be accurate, thirdly, the process must take less than a second and finally, the signal for a goal must be sent only to the match's officials.

Two systems, Hawkeye and Goal ref, have so far been licensed by FIFA and both were used at last year's World Club Cup in Japan. FIFA said two more German systems have completed tests and could soon be approved for use. FIFA also welcomes more systems for the trials. Final decision will be made in April.

It brings FIFA into conflict again with the European governing body UEFA, whose president Michel Platini is strongly opposed to Goal Line Technology. UEFA prefers to employ two extra linesmen, one on each goal line. But FIFA president Sepp Blatter has already said that extra linesmen are unlikely to be used at the World Cup.

But football pundits, critics think welcoming more technology gives every game a much more proper judgment in every decision like foul, handball etc. and it's just a beginning.

IFA CFL PREMIER-SUPER 9 : HOT MATCHES TOMORROW - East Bengal vs Aryan and Unitd SC vs Mohammedan SC.

The defending champions Kingfisher East Bengal will going to meet against the Aryan Club in their 5th match of the super nine in the CFL tomorrow at the Kalyani Stadium.Aryan defeated East Bengal in the preliminary stages of the CFL by a margin of 2-1.

Trevor Morgan the red and gold coach as usual would like to retain the same team that won against Southern Samity on the last Saturday. He will going to start with Andrew Barisik the Australian striker in place of Eddeh Cheddi along with Baljit Singh Shaini.

Barisic is yet to give his best and required to prove his efficiency. Baljit has had a good start this season scoring two hatriks in the initial stages but lost his confidence during the start of the I league. In the last match Baljit scores a brace against Southern Samity and lost some of the easiest chances. If Baljit regain his form then it will be a blessing for the remaining season.

East Bengal will start with Dika,Sanju,Isfaq in the midfield with Penn will work a linking pin and will act just behind the two strikers. Morgan has another card in his hand in form of Lobo who may be introduced in the later part of the match.

Aryan, on the other hand are handicapped without their foreigners, and most likely they to play with the Bengal Brigade. They have some promising players in all fronts and they have a confident and experienced goalkeeper Sibram Dey in their last line of defense. In fact in the recent past Aryan had a exemplary performance against the red and gold by earning valuable points against them.

The East Bengal coach is confident of winning the match against Aryan, and if the red and gold brigade wins tomorrow then they will move further ahead to win the crown in the CFL.

In an another match at YBK, United Sports Club will going to clash against Mohammedan Sporting Club in the CFL super Nine encounter. The I-league Team united Sports Club should have to opt for their second line up as six of their players are engaged in the Indian camp at Pune and five with the Bengal Santosh Trophy squad at Cochin. They may not going to get the services of their injured foreigners Bello Razak, Lester Fernandez and Md. RafiqTwo who scored 2 goals against Kalighat MS in the last match.

Their Costarican Midfielder Carlos Hernandez returns Kolkata today. The Team last played against Kalighat MS where they won 2-1 but their first match they drew with Aryan.

Mohammedan SC, who are at present preparing for the 2nd division I-league are far beyond the run of championship in the CFL. They have to face a strong fight against the United SC striking force as the Mohammedan SC deep defense are yet to be combined well.

This year Mohammedan SC has build up their team with a combination of young talents and with the experienced footballers likes Jayanta Sen, Ashim Biswas and Gouranga Dutta. But despite all the effort of their coach Aloke Mukherjee, the team is not combining properly which is a utmost requirement for a desired results. The team last lost to Barreto's Bhowanipur 0-1 but before that match the team beat Eastern Rail 5-0.
