Bengal United Sports Club Football School opened today at Kanchra para Gokulpur Chittranjan Recreation Club Ground with simple ceremony.

The dream of Biswajit Dey, the chief of Bengal United Sports Club to open his Football School finaly fulfilled today. The BUFC have their Football Coacling camp in Shyamnagar Sabuj Sangha Maidan and another camp in this Ground under coaching of Ex- India Captain Debjit Ghosh.

Biswajit Said that "Bengal United Sports Football Club providing extensive training for grassroot level. In the School more than 50 participants from various regions of Shyamnagar and out sides like Behala, chinsura, Naihati, Kakinara, Konnagar, Krishnanagar erc and it's sorrounded are used to train the Footbal.

With the help of reputed Physio Srabanta Banerjee, Women physical trainer for Meditation, Yoga etc Swati Biswas, Tani Basu, the Football communication and Media Manager at Bengal united sports fans club and the officials and members of Chittranjan club who extended their hands with Biswajit's Football School dream just starts walking from today - 21st July.

The BUFC Football School opened by Famous Indian Footballer Dipendu Biswas. Before opening of the same, the team of Dipendu Biswas - New Bani Sangha, Bashirhat played a friendly match with Bengal United SC U-18 boys at the club ground. Dipendu's team New Bani Sangha won the match 2-0, scored by Imran and Manirul but some of his players like Subha, Paltu and Adam have a talent as they played very well.

The fampus Indian striker who scored more than 235 goals in his carrer with top indian teams and national team, Dipendu Biswas was acting as a team coach today and guided his team full ninty minutes in the field and after the match he gave some importent tips to the opponent friend Bengal United SC boys.

Dipendu praised about the hospitality of the Bengal United SC before and after the match.

REPORT : AIFF PRESS RELEASE : The Indian U-16 National Team began their SAFF U-16 Championship in style by drubbing 10-man Sri Lanka U-16 Team 4-1 in their Group B opener at the Army Ground in Kathmandu, Nepal on Sunday. India are being represented by AIFF Regional Academy's U-15 boys.

Striker Bedashwor Singh struck twice in each half (23rd, 88th) while Krishna Pandit (21st) and Prosenjit Chakroborty (66th) scored one apiece to seal what was a facile win for the Goutam Ghosh Coached side. Courtesy the win, India are now on three points from one match.

India led 2-1 at half time.

"Results stay immaterial. We wanted to see whether we were sticking to our philosophy, and I am glad that the boys were able to do that," Ghosh said after the match.

"We had 75 percent of the ball possession. The Lankans were defending with ten men for most part of the match. We need to work on a few areas and for that we will be watching the video footage of the match. Before the match against Bangladesh next Thursday, hopefully we will be able to plug the holes," he added.

India play Bangladesh next Thursday (July 25, 2013).

Churchill Brothers player Lenney Rodrigus got Gulab Awards 2013 - of Goa.

Another award for Lenny Rodrigues. Churchill Brothers Goa central midfielder Lenny Rodrigues has won his third individual award in two months as he was adjudged the "Best Sportsperson" at the Gulab Awards 2013, which was organised by Fr. Freddy J Da Costa Memorial Trust at the Ravindra Bhava", Margao on Saturday.

These awards are presented to the meritorious winners for excellence in the Konkani tiatr, literary, social and sports fields. The function commemorated the 60th birth anniversary of late Fr Freddy J.Da Costa, the Founder-Editor of the Konkani Monthly magazine Gulab, who had also instituted these awards.

In May, Lenny won the Indian Player of the Year Award at the FPAI Awards in Mumbai and last month he won the Best Midfielder accolade of the 2012-13 I-League. Lenny has become indispensable for club and country and was instrumental in Churchill Brothers Goa's second I-League title success last season.

But the recognition at the prestigious 'Gulab Awards' has special significance for him. "This is a proud moment for me as my hard work has been recognised at the prestigious Gulab Awards. This will motivate me to work even harder from now on and I hope my success will also inspire Goan youth in every aspect of life," Lenny stated.

The last footballer to be rewarded at the "Gulab Awards" was former India captain Climax Lawrence in 2008.
