The Indian Football Association (W.B.) are in an agreement of seven years with Star India for the telecasting of the CFL Premier Division as well as the IFA Shield matches. The matches of the CFL are already being telecasted in the Star Jalsha Movies Channel, which is ranked 3rd among the Bengali Satellite Channels viewed by almost 8.3 millions viewers every week.

In a media meeting today at Kolkata the Marketing Head of the channel Mr Sumanta Bose stated that Star will going to use the most advance technologies during the telecast. At present Star is operating with 10 cameras, which are controlled from the different angles. All the cameras are having the facility of showcasing the slow motion replays. The star will telecast all the Premier Division Championship matches (66 Matches) with pre and post analysis by different experts.

The IFA Secretary Mr Utpal Ganguly is optimistic to complete the CFL within mid of December. He added that the matches schedule at Yubabharati and Barasat will going to be kicked off at 4pm as these two stadiums are having the facility of floodlight. There is a chance of organizing the East Bengal's matches at their ground in Kolkata maidan.In that situation the matches will start at 2 pm.

The Sahara India Parivar will going to continue as the tittle sponcer of CFL.The representative of Sahara Mr Deep Dasgupta welcomed the agreement and promised to continue as sponcer in the coming days.

World Cup 2014 : 10 Nations has got the ticket of Brazil

For 2014 Brazil World Cup 10 Countries has already qualyfied for the Tournament out of 204 countries. 144 countries has already went out from the Compitition. 50 Nations are still in the que.

ASIA : Out of 43 teams, 38 has eliminated, Japan, South Korea, Australia and Iran qualyfied. The 5th team will be Jordon who beat Uzbekistan 9-8 in Penalty shoot out to face any South Amerian team for play off to get entry in Brazil.

AFRICA : Out of 52 nations competition, 42 nations has been eliminated only 10 are alive - Ethiopia, Ghana, Cape Verde, Ivory coast, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Egypt, Algeria, Cameroon and Senegal. Out of those 10, only 5 will get entry after a double leg match.

NORTH AMERICA : Out of 35 nations fighting, 29 Nations already eliminated, USA and Costa Rica has got the ticket of Brazil and Honduras also about to to get the ticket, 3 nations Mexico, Panama and Jamaica are still fighting for autometic berth and play off matches but only 1 will get the ticket.

SOUTH AMERICA : Out of 10 Nations, Brazil is the host country, while Argentina already qualified for World Cup while Chili, Ecuador and Columbia and Honduras is in line to get enty but Paraguay, bolivia, Venezueala and Peru has been eliminated. 2 Times World Cup Winner Uruguay have a chance to get ticket as the 6th Nations of South America after playing the play - off (May be with Jordon).

OCEANIA : Out of 11 Nations, only New Zeland can get the ticket if they can won a play off against the 4th placed team of North America.

Europe : 53 nations are fighting in Qualifying where 22 nations already eliminated. 29 teams are alive. Italy and Holland already got the ticket for Brazil. 13 teams from Europe will get chance in the World cup and now who will be last 11 to get the Brazil ticket?. Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Russia, Portugal, Greece, Bosnia, England, Ukraine, Spain, France have a possibility to get the 2014 Brazil tickets.

FAO Press RELEASE : The Deptt. of Sports Y.S of Govt. of Odisha and Football Association of Odisha jointly announced that they will conduct the All India Kalinga Cup Football Tournament. The meeting held at O.C.A Office under the chairmanship of Mr. Asirbad Behera (Hon'y Secretary –OOA& Chairman Org. Committee ).

It was resolved in the meeting that the prestigious All India Kalinga Cup Football Tournament will be held from 1st Nov 2013 to 10th Nov 2013. The Champion team will be awarded with a cash prize money of Rs 3,00,000=00 (rupees three lakhs only) and the Runner's up team will get a cash prize of Rs 2,00,000=00 (rupees two lakh only).

Eight reputed clubs from out side Odisha along with the Four Semifinalist of FAO League-2012 (i.e Odisha Police, Jobra Durga Club, Rising Student Club and Sunrise Club ) and four semifinalist of Inter District Club Championship (Kalinga Cup Qualifying Round) - 2013 schedule to be played at Baripada (Mayurbhanj) from 24th September 2013 will also be participating in the All India Kalinga cup Football Tournament-2013.

The other dignitaries who were present in the meeting were Mr.Debashish Samantray (M.L.A& President - FAO), Mr.Sanjay Behera(Hon'y Secretary - FAO), Mr.Rashmi Ranjan Samantray (D.S.O - Cuttack), Mr.Bhakta Ballav Das, Mr.Bijaya Das (V.P - FAO) Mr.Rushinath Sahoo, Mr.Bikram K.Mahapatra, Mr.Avijit Paul, Mrs Sangeeta Sharma (Jt.Secy - FAO) and Mr.M.A.Alam (Treasurer – FAO).
