GFA PRESS RELEASE : A successful workshop was conducted by the Goa Football Association on the new player Central Registration System (CRS) at Dempo House, Panjim on Tuesday 19.05.2014. Representatives from the four Goan I-League clubs, namely Sporting Clube de Goa, Dempo Sports Club, Churchill Brothers Sports Club and Salgaocar Football Club were present, along with the Goa Pro League and GFA 1st Division clubs.

GFA Coordinator for Youth Development Programme and Competitions Adley D'Costa took the clubs through a colourful presentation on the new CRS database system which has been proposed by the All India Football Federation. The club representatives were given time to test out the CRS data base system and the useful feedback from the participants was noted.

The Central Registration System is a newly introduced database, which keeps track of all player transfers in India. All professional as well as amateur players will have to be registered with the scheme and will be given a unique ID number.

Giving the vote of thanks Adley D'Costa thanked the clubs for their co-operation. "Thank you all for coming and we hope we can count on your co-operation to ensure Goa remains as a model state for Indian football," stated Adley. GFA General Secretary Adler D'Cruz was also present to ensure the smooth functioning of the workshop. The next Annual General Body meeting of the Goa Football Association will be held at Hotel Mandovi, in Panjim, on 27th July 2014, starting at 10 a.m.

A copy of the notice and a list detailing the procedure for conducting elections, already posted to the Collective Members, Founder Members, Life Members and Executive Committee Members, can be collected, during office hours, from the GFA's Secretariat in Panjim, from GFA's offices at the PJN Stadium, at the Duler Complex, and from Mr. Savio Messias or Mr. Lawrence Gomes (Executive Committee Members) in Vasco.

Elections for the posts of President, Vice Presidents and Executive Committee Members will be held on the same day. Nomination forms can be collected, during office hours, from the GFA's Secretariat in Panjim on production of a letter of authority signed by the Collective Members' President or Secretary. The nomination forms, duly completed, are to be submitted to the GFA's Secretariat, in Panjim, before noon on the 27th of June 2014.

Third Battalion, Delhi Armed Police ground/Vikaspuri - New Delhi, 21st May 2014 - Indian National Football Team Captain Mr. Sunil Chhetri and Founder of the One World Futbol, Tim Jahnigen visited the TheFootballLink Trust's Child and Youth Development Center at Vikaspuri on the 21st of May, 2014.

Mr. Chhetri interacted with the enthusiastic children and spoke of his experiences growing up and how football inspired him to balance education and sports. When asked about his thoughts on the upcoming Under -17 FIFA World Cup in 2017, Mr. Chhetri said, "A very important part for the preparation of the World Cup is that every child should play so that when the final 20 are chosen to represent the nation, we as a country could proudly say that everyone got a chance and this is the best we could achieve regardless of the result".

He went on to commend TheFootballLink Trust on their efforts to popularize football in the country and spoke very highly of the One World Futbols and their ability to withstand the toughest terrains. Mr. Tim Jahnigen, the visionary behind the World's most durable ball has impacted 15 Million Youth in just three years and now hopes to deliver these unique balls to children in India with little-to-no resources.

One World Futbol has partnered with TheFootballLink to distribute the balls in India. As part of the distribution plan TheFootballLink has been visiting slums and low income residential areas and will now be extending their reach to Government schools across Delhi, NCR.

Bangalore has always awaited for the right moment for right act for promotion of Football. This is the 1st time in the history of Karnataka a FIFA World Cup winner and Winner of almost every trophy at Club level football & Inter Milan legend Marco Materazzi will land on the soil of Karnataka and be at the Bangalore Football Stadium at 4:45pm to add glory to the BDFA Super division game between MEG & ADE. This is an initiative from Inter Milan to support the KSFA & BDFA in developing the game of football to start of the AVA INTER Milan Football Academy in Bangalore.

Marco Materazzi will also be accompanied by 1st Team Coach- Stefano Rapetti and Top official of the Club Ms. Barbara Biggi (Head of Marketing & International Business).

Marco Materazzi, Stefano Rapetti and Barbara Biggi are here to announce the start of the AVA INTER Milan Football Academy. The AVA Inter Academy will be functional from 1st June 2014. Marco & Inter officials will fly on 24th May morning to Mumbai for the scouting through the NIKE Tournament to select the 1st batch of talent.

Regarding the arrival of the Italian Star player a special events planned at the Bangalore Football Stadium where Marco Materazzi will interact with the fans at the stadium, show his skills with the other footballer and few lucky ones will get Nike Football signed on spot by Marco.

In addition to these BDFA will select 20 lucky winner for a meet & greet with Marco. The personally signed footballs will be kicked by Marco towards the stand & the lucky ones will grab it.
