DEMPO OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE : Dempo S. C. and Fr. Agnel High School, Pilar renew agreement.Dempo Sports Club and Fr. Agnel High School, Pilar have agreed to extend the agreement for one more year.Under this agreement Dempo S. C. will give match and training kit and equipment to all football teams fielded by the school in various Inter School tournaments.Besides equipment, Dempo S. C. will make available one youth coach to impart training for the school teams.

The Chairman of the Dempo S. Club, Mr. Shrinivas Dempo said: We had a fruitful understanding with Fr. Agnel H.S., Pilar during the last season. The Dempo S. Club U-14 team comprising only of players from the Fr. Agnel School performed very well to become the runnerís up of the GFA U-14 tournament.

Mr. Dempo expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the support and commitment of the management of the school towards development of football. He added that this year Dempo Sports Club will be supporting football development in the school right from the age of 8 years to 16 years.

The headmaster of Fr. Agnel H.S Pilar, Fr. Richard Crasto expressed his gratitude to the club and said "We are thankful to Dempo S.C. for this partnership in football. We are hopeful that this project will provide the necessary professional expertise to the school and encourage our students to aspire for representing the club in the future."

As part of the close cooperation between Fr. Agnel H. S. and Dempo Sports Club, Mr. Dempo announced that Dempo Sports Club will sponsor the 4th Macabeus Rodrigues Memorial Inter-school Football Tournament on 13th July 2014.

RED FM KOLKATA dreams of taking football from "BARUIPUR TO BRAZIL"

93.5 RED FM, India's largest radio network, has come forward with an initiative to help a team of young footballers in Baruipur, supported by NGO Durbar, having fought their way out of red light areas, have shown amazing talent and passion, making it to Manchester United training camp and World Cup for the homeless. Yet because they struggle with basic survival needs, 93.5 RED FM launched a campaign called 'BARUIPUR TO BRAZIL' to raise money for these talented young footballers.

Speaking on this initiative, Nisha Narayanan, COO, Red FM said 'RED FM has always taken up initiatives which give back to the society, 'Baruipur to Brazil' being one of them. Kolkata loves football and Red FM listeners have come forward in large numbers to donate for this noble cause.'

The grand finale of Baruipur to Brazil is scheduled on 5th July, Saturday, 4pm at Vivekananda Park, Kolkata, where an exhibition match will be played in presence of top East Bengal authorities and players like Alvito, Abhijit Mondal and Tollywood celebs like Parambrata, Kanchan, Indrashish and Gargi, singer Saptak.

Chuni Goswami, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Mehtab Hussain and several Bollywood celebs have also voiced their support and need for such an initiative. This will also be the perfect opportunity for the donors to meet the young heroes.
