PFC PRESS RELEASE : It was a memorable day for Pune FC Under-16's who emerged victorious in the FC Bayern Youth Cup 2014 after a 4-2 penalty shootout win over Bengaluru FC in the final at the Ambedkar Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday. Scoring a whopping 36 goals in 4 games en route to the final, Pune FC took a 2-0 lead in the first half through Aniket Jadhav’s brace. However, the opponents fought back and scored twice in the second half to equalise.

With scores tied, the final went into the tie-breaker called as the penalty powerplay in which the attacker gets the ball on the halfline and comes dribbling trying to beat the goalkeeper and score. In the penalty powerplay, Pune FC had Aniket, Anil Madavi, Omkar More and Jagdish Gadewad score while stand-in keeper Jagdish saved Bengaluru FC's first and fourth attempts.

Defender Manoranjan Singh was voted the 'Most Valuable Player' of the tournament while striker Aniket Jadhav received the Golden Boot award for amassing a total of 13 goals in five games.

BOCA JUNIORS PRESS RELEASE : One of India's latest Football Development project, IFB Boca Juniors Football Champs will now boast of new Champions that will join the All India finals to be held later this year. Goa was the fifth stop for the unique initiative that has opened the doors for budding footballers from both schools and colleges all across the country.

The Talegaon Football Ground in Goa was host for the Goa Edition of the IFB Boca Football Champs. The powerhouse of Indian football did not let anyone down as not only we got overwhelming response from participating schools and colleges but the display of football skills and acumen was also a great achievement for this mammoth initiative.

From about 30 schools that came forward and participated in the tournament, Father Agnel High School, Pilar was crowned as the new champions of Goa as they beat a disciplined St Alex's High School, Curtorim by a solitary goal in the final.

Father Agnel School's Dominic Soares has been shortlisted as one of the talented boys from Goa who would be attending a training camp to be conducted by coaches from Boca Juniors of Argentina. Auxilium Convent Caranzalem's Rohan Viejas was shortlisted as the Most Promising player of the School Category.

It could have almost become a double delight for Father Agnel College Pilar as they stumbled in the final hurdle. Rosary College, Navelim got better of Father Agnel College in the finals of the college leg of the inaugural edition of IFB Boca Juniors Football Champs.

Rosary College of Navelim emerged as champions out of 22 top colleges that featured in the first every IFB Boca Football Champs Goa edition. Rosary beat Father Agnel by 2 goals to 1 in the final match of the college leg.

Leonardo Dsouza of Don Bosco Panjim was chosen among the 250 odd college students by head scout Mr. Jamshid Nassiri (Former Iranian Footballer, Ex Mohammedan SC and East Bengal). Leonardo will get a chance of his lifetime to train under coaches of Boca Juniors of Argentina, if does well he might be one of the seven boys selected to travel all the way to Argentina for a train camp at Boca Juniors Academy. Samuel Almeida of Saraswat Caculo College Mapusa was named as the Most Promising Player college leg.

Indian football's power house Goa can now boast of new school and college champions in the name of Father Agnel High School Pilar and Rosary College Navelim respectively who shall go on to represent Goa in the All India finals. Churchill Brothers' Trinidad & Tobago Striker Anthony Wolfe along with IFB Industries Ltd Goa's Business Head Mr. Nilotpal Nag was present during the Prize Distribution ceremony to honour the young achievers.

IFB Boca Juniors Football Champs will now travel to Bangalore which will be the 6th of the 8 city tour.
