Chennai City FC I-League Champion – 9th March 2019, Chennai City FC become the seventh team to lift the glittering I-League trophy.

U17 Women's World Cup Announcement – 15th March, 2019, India will host the U-17 Women's World Cup in 2020, FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced after the FIFA Council meeting in Miami, USA on Friday.

Bengaluru FC ISL Champion – 18th March 2019, Bengaluru FC beat FC Goa to win maiden title at the Mumbai Football Arena in Mumbai, on Sunday.

Indian Super Cup 2019 – Seven I-League clubs Minerva Punjab FC, East Bengal, Mohun Bagan, NEROCA FC, Gokulam Kerala FC, Aizawl FC and Chennai City FC withdrawn from the tournament citing "unfair treatment to I-League clubs." 13th April, 2019, FC Goa won the tournament with a 2-1 victory over Chennaiyin FC.

East Bengal Centenary Celebration – 1st August 2019, East Bengal officially started their Centenary Celebrations on its foundation day with a glittering ceremony at the Netaji Indoor Stadium.

Gokulam Kerala FC Durand Cup Champion – 24th August, 2019, Gokulam Kerala wins the 129th edition of Durand Cup by beating Mohun Bagan 2-1 at Yubabhrati Krirangan, Kolkata. This is the first major title of Gokulam Kerala FC in any National tournament.

India vs Qatar Match – 10th September 2019, Spirited Indian Football Team hold Asian Champion Qatar in the FIFA World Cup 2020 Qualifier match at Doha.

Peerless SC CFL Premier A Champion – 3rd October, 2019, Peerless SC was crowned their maidan title Calcutta Football League Premier A after East Bengal stayed away from its final outing at the Kalyani Stadium.

AFC Report of I League and ISL Merger- 14th October, 2019, AFC Meet representatives of both ISL and I-League clubs where AIFF presents to roadmap. According to it, ISL champions would also be entitled to a play-off place in the AFC Champions League and the I-League champions would take a place in the AFC Cup.

Sunil Chhetri nominated as Best Footballer of Asia Award - Indian National football team's captain Sunil Chhetri has been nominated for the Best Footballer in Asia 2019 award for 3rd Consecutive time. Titan Sports gives away the award annually wherein foreigners playing for Asian clubs and Asians playing their club football elsewhere are eligible to contest.

DEMPO SC PRESS RELEASE - 20.12.2019 : The 31-year-old, AFC A License holder will be joining the Golden Eagles having previously headed the Grassroots Development Division at the All India Football Federation (AIFF). Having previously spearheaded the FIFA U17 World Cup Legacy Project as a Technical Head, Anju’s new assignment will see her taking charge from the Late Mr. Katz Naidoo, where she will be tasked to turn the Dempo Football Academy’s set up into a production line, to supply Asia’s growing demand for world-class talent.

Keeping in mind the aspect of Youth Development on the field, Anju’s appointment will be one that mirrors this approach off it. Still, in her nascent stage as a seasoned Technical Director, the young lady from Maharashtra will be hoping to make her mark in the rich 52-year history that is Dempo Sports Club.

Global sports brand PUMA today announced that Sunil Chhetri, captain of the Indian National Football team and Bengaluru FC signed with the brand. A captain, leader and a legend, he is the second-highest after Cristiano Ronaldo on the list of active international scorers in world football. Signing a three-year deal with PUMA, he now joins the brand’s roster of global players like Antoine Griezmann, Romelu Lukaku, Luis Suárez and Sergio Aguero among others.

One of the greatest footballers India has ever seen, Sunil Chhetri plays as a striker for the national team and Bengaluru FC. A hero for both the club and the country, he is the most-capped player and also the all-time top goal scorer for the Indian team. Named AIFF Player of the Year six times, he was also conferred with the Arjuna award in 2011 and Padma Shri in 2019 among several other coveted sports honors.

AIFF EXECUTIVE COMMITTE MEETING AT DELHI HELD TODAY
10/12/2019 ; AIFF PRESS RELEASE - : Mr. Praful Patel, President, All India Football Federation chaired AIFF’s Executive Committee Meeting held in New Delhi on Tuesday (December 10, 2019). Besides, AIFF General Secretary Mr. Kushal Das; Vice Presidents Mr. Subrata Dutta and Mr. Manavendra Singh, and all other members except Vice-Presidents Mr. Larsing Ming, and Mr. KMI Mather; and AIFF Treasurer Mr. ZA Thakur; Mr. Subhash Chopra, Mr. Deepak Sharma, Mr. Jesiah Villavarayar, attended the meeting.

Mr. Martin Bain, CEO FSDL, and Mr. Chirag Tanna representing FSDL attended the meeting as invitees; while AIFF Technical Director Mr. Isac Doru was also present on the occasion. The Committee maintained a minute’s silence for the sad demise of Mr. Amarendra Sharan, and Mr. Anjan Mitra.

Meanwhile, the Committee congratulated the Indian Senior Women’s Team for winning the Gold medal in the SAG Games in Nepal, and Gurpreet Singh Sandhu for winning the Arjuna Award, drawing a spontaneous applause from all members. “We still have a lot of work to do and a ground to cover,” Mr. Patel mentioned in his opening address. “The preparation for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup India 2020 is in full swing, and the girls are training under new Head Coach Thomas Dennerby.”

Mr. Sunando Dhar, CEO, I-League apprised the Committee that as per ratification of the AFC Executive Committee, the League winners of the 2019-20 Hero Indian Super League will get a direct slot into the AFC Champions League 2021, while the 2019-20 Hero I-League champions will get a direct slot to the AFC Cup 2021. “108 clubs across 14 states have shown interest to play in the Hero Indian Women’s League. The aim is to increase the matches,” Mr. Dhar added.

“The 2nd Division League will see 20 teams participating. It will kick-off in January, and continue till May with a break in between for the Hero Santosh Trophy,” he further informed. “Furthermore, in coordination with the Ministry for Sports and Youth Affairs, the Khelo India U-17 Girls League is currently on at the moment, all as part of our effort to find talented players for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup India 2020. We also aim to touch 30000 players across 21 states in the Golden Baby Leagues, and emphasis is being laid on getting girls introduced to the sport.”

The Committee unanimously decided to launch the Futsal Club Championship from the 2020 season. The Committee also decided to launch a AIFF Football Masters Course from mid 2020, procedure for admissions for the initial batch would be advertised soon. Moreover, the Committee decided that as AFC levies for International matches/competitions are no longer payable, and with a substantial reduction in feed to be paid to FIFA (has been reduced to CHF 500 per match), the fees to a State Association hosting an International match has been reduced to Rs. 1,15,000 per International match.
