Mohammedan Sporting Club will celebrate their 124th Foundation Day on 8th of February. The club management has decide to host a number of events including the felicitation of the legendary footballer Md Akbar...... INTERVIEW - MD AKBAR (2008)

Md Akbar was a prolific scorer had scored many important goals for the three big giants of Kolkata football , East Bengal , Mohun Bagan and Md Sporting. Md Akbar still holds the record of scoring the fastest goal in Kolkata premier division league. He scored a 17 seconds goal in a Derby match dawning the Mohun Bagan colour against East Bengal.

MD AKBAR WILL BE HONOUR WITH "SHAN-E-MOHAMMEDAN SPORTING AWARD "at the club ground on Sunday afternoon for his outstanding achievement in Indian Football.

Mohammedan Sporting will launch Merchandising Department where Jersey,Cap,Badge,Key Chain, Cup,Pen stand will be sold. A Football Coaching Center will be inaugurated with 500 students. While interacting Club secretary Moinuddin Bin Makshud said that their plan is to open more coaching camps in Howrah, Hoogly and 24 Parganas in near future.
