27.8.22: Emami East Bengal and ATK Mohun Bagan are ready to face in an important match in Group B of the 131st Durand Cup on Sunday evening at Kolkata. There is a tremoundous enthusiasm between the fans as the Kolkata Derby between the two giants of Indian football to be played at Kolkata after a gap of almost two years.

The Goverment of West Bengal has given permission to sold only sixty thousand tickets. Thousand of supporters were unlucky for not getting their desired entry pass. The ticket counters for the offline tickets were closed within a very short time.

The last Derby played at Kolkata was on 19th January 2020, before the rise of Covid 19 pandemic. Mohun Bagan won the I League Derby by a margin of 2-1. The second round match in I League which was scheduled on 15th March 2020, was cancelled due to the spread of Covid 19 in India. Though both the teams played the ISL Derby on 2020 and 2021 at Goa.
