BENGALURU FC DECLARED AS WINNERS BY THE MATCH OFFICIALS. REFEREE CRYSTAL JOHN BLEW THE FINAL WHISTLE AFTER DISCUSSING WITH MATCH COMMISSIONER AMIT DHARAP.

KERALA BLASTERS ARE PROTESTING AGAINST THE DECISION OF GOAL. THEY LEFT THE FIELD PROTESTING AGAINST THE DECISION. THE FOOTBALLERS OF BENGALURU FC AND THE MATCH OFFICIALS ARE INSIDE THE PLAYING ARENA.

It was a controversial decision by the Referee. It seems that Sunil took the free kick without allowing the Kerala Blasters FC footballers to settle down before the free kick.

SECOND HALF: At the end of an entertaining 90 minutes, there is nothing separating the two sides and we are going to have extra time. Unlike the first half, both teams began the second half on a cautious note. Once both teams found their feet, chances were created but neither side was able to find the back of the net. Towards the end, both teams opted to play safe and resorted to the long balls but to no avail.

INDIAN SUPER LEAGUE - 2022-23 LIVE SCORE

FIRST HALF: It is deadlocked between BFC and KBFC at the halftime interval. KBFC's defense is on top, and they are not letting BFC players make a breakthrough. KBFC haven't troubled Gurpreet Sandhu much, and they will need to gear up and move forward now in the game.

Roy Krishna and Javier Hernandez are looking in good touch, and they are the major concerning players the KBFC defense will have to keep an eye on. Both sides will look to change their game plans a bit and find breakthroughs in the game. Let's see how the next phase pans out.

Kerala Blasters FC failed to finish the league phase with the best home record after losing 1-0 to Hyderabad FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Sunday in the last Hero Indian Super League (ISL) game before the playoffs. Borja Herrera scored the only goal of the match in the 29th minute as the defending champions handed the Blasters their third consecutive loss.

In the 29th minute, Borja Herrera put the visitors in front. The move started with Sahil Tavora’s excellent run in the middle third, where he cut into the midfield from the right before finding Halicharan Narzary on the left. The winger pulled it back into the box where Herrera managed to nestle the ball into the far post with a first-time shot.

INDIAN SUPER LEAGUE - 2022-23 LIVE SCORE

In the opening ten minutes of the second half, Kerala Blasters FC tried to string a few passes together and cause problems for the Hyderabad FC defence. However, the attackers fluffed their lines in the final third as a few chances went missing and others were dealt with by the visitors’ defence.

Four minutes from time two Hyderabad FC substitutes combined well but could not put the game to bed. Abdul Anjukandan whipped a good-looking ball into the box and found an unmarked Aaren D'Silva right in front of goal. The attacker failed to keep his header on target but Hyderabad FC held on to clinch all three points and finished their league season with a tenth clean sheet.

Bengaluru FC extended their winning streak to six games in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) after a 1-0 victory over arch-rivals Kerala Blasters at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium on Saturday. Roy Krishna netted his fifth goal of the season as the Blues jumped from seventh to fifth on the table, and a point clear of FC Goa and Odisha FC.

INDIAN SUPER LEAGUE - 2022-23 LIVE SCORE

An electric atmosphere engulfed the venue with several away fans in attendance fueling a high-octane encounter between two strong sides. Opportunities came at both ends in the initial stages of the first half. Dimitrios Diamantakos failed to hit the target from a promising Sahal Samad cross at one end, while Sandesh Jhinghan rattled the crossbar from a Javi Hernandez free-kick at the other.

The Blasters kept more of the ball, but the Blues fired more shots at goal and eventually drew first blood just after the half-hour mark. Hernandez was the provider as he slid a clever ball through to Krishna down the right flank. Under pressure from Ruivah Hormipam, the Fijian outmuscled the defender and made his way into the box before slotting it past Prabhsukhan Gill at the near-post from a tight angle.

Five minutes from the break, Hernandez had an opportunity to get his name on the scoresheet when he dodged the offside trap and brought a long ball down deftly right in front of goal. However, Gill pounced on the ball before the Spaniard could adjust his footing and get a shot away.

Kerala Blasters started the second half on the front foot. Adrian Luna’s cross from the right flank was just behind Diamantakos and was cleared to safety. Cheeky flicks were on display from Luna as the Blasters pushed forward repeatedly, getting thwarted by the staunch Bengaluru FC defence on almost every occasion. Samad attempted to find the far post on a couple of occasions, but both his efforts went wide.

Around the hour-mark, Bengaluru FC applied pressure on the Blasters. Roshan Naorem cut in from the left flank and tried to catch Gill on the wrong foot with a shot at the near post. However, the Blasters’ shot-stopper was quick to palm it out for a corner. The Blasters huffed and puffed in the final few minutes of the game but could not do anything to correct their record at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in the Hero ISL.

Abdenasser El Khayati netted the fastest goal of the season to put the visitors in front before Adrian Luna cancelled it out with a stunning curling effort in the 38th minute, and then set up Rahul KP’s strike in the 64th minute.

Two minutes into the game, El Khayati silenced the stands with his ninth goal of the season. Victor Mongil failed to deal with a long ball that was eventually played into the path of El Khayati by Petar Sliskovic. The Dutchman danced with the ball at the edge of the box before dispatching it into the net off the upright.

INDIAN SUPER LEAGUE - 2022-23 LIVE SCORE

The stadium erupted in the 38th minute when parity was restored. Anirudh Thapa intercepted Rahul KP’s pass to Samad inside the box before the stray ball went straight to Luna, who pounced on it and curled it into the top right corner.

Seconds after Brdaric threw a couple of substitutions on the pitch to change things around, the game turned on its head. Adrian Luna whipped a cross into the box from the right flank before Rahul KP squeezed it past Samik Mitra in the 64th minute.

In the final quarter of the game, El Khayati and substitute Prasanth K kept trying to find a gap in the Blasters’ defence, but the hosts kept their shape and were able to keep the Marina Machans at bay.

SECOND HALF East Bengal FC registered an important win against Kerala Blasters FC at home. The combination of Mahesh Singh and Cleiton Silva worked as the Brazilian on his birthday at the 75th minute of the match helped the Red and Gold to complete their fifth win in the competition.

Kerala Blasters lead by Dimitrios, Sahal Samad and Adrian Luna created pressure in EBFC defense in the later stages to wipe of the deficit. But it was Sarthak Dolui, Md Rakip, Charis Kyriakou and goalkeeper Kamaljit Singh did a splendid job to restrict Kerala Blasters to take any advantage of the situation.

FIRST HALF The first half ended goalless as both sides had their moments but neither team was able to take full advantage and take the lead. Kerala Blasters FC, the away team started the game on the front foot and threatened the East Bengal FC goal but failed to trouble their goalkeeper Kamaljit Singh.

The combination of Bryce Miranda and Adrian Luna created tremendous pressure in the East Bengal FC's central defense and finally Ankit Mukherjee had to replaced by Rakip to strengthen the defense. The match was quite competitive in the first session. East Bengal FC had some positive at the closing stages of the half when Cleiton Silva was denied brilliantly from close range twice by Karanjit Singh and Suhair Vadakkepeedika missed the final chance of the half as his header was inches wide of the left post.

FC Goa got some respite in the playoff race after clinching crucial three points against Kerala Blasters in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa on Sunday. Goals from Iker Guarrotxena, Noah Sadaoui and Redeem Tlang helped the Gaurs end their four-game winless run in the Hero ISL as they leapfrogged Odisha FC to fifth and went four points clear of Bengaluru FC in seventh. Meanwhile, the Blasters suffered back-to-back defeats in the Hero ISL for the first time since October.

INDIAN SUPER LEAGUE - 2022-23 LIVE SCORE

In the opening half-hour, Kerala Blasters were unable to test the keeper while their own shot-stopper Prabhsukhan Gill was forced into making a solitary save. Moments after the half-hour mark, Brandon Fernandes won a penalty after contact with Saurav Mandal in the box.

Guarrotxena went straight down the middle to score from the spot kick, for his seventh goal of the season. The goal put the hosts in front and was also the 150th Hero ISL goal scored by FC Goa at the Fatorda Stadium.

Ten minutes from the break, Gill came sprinting out of his penalty area to get to the ball first, but Sadaoui flicked it past him before seeing his shot blocked by Ruivah Hormipam. The Moroccan did get his goal just three minutes later when he pounced on a poor Sandeep Singh pass, beat Hormipam, and opened up his body to slot it past Gill to double the hosts’ advantage.

Having gone multiple goals down in the first half for the second consecutive game, Kerala Blasters came out with purpose, and Dimitrios Diamantakos was the man to get on the sheet in the 51st minute. Adrian Luna was the creator, whipping in a free kick from the left flank that saw the Greek striker nod the ball in from close range.

But FC Goa created the decisive touch to deflate the Blasters in the 69th minute. On the counter, Brandon held the ball as Sadaoui made a dummy run to draw the defenders away, opening up space for Tlang on the right flank. The substitute paced into the box and drove it past Gill to breach his far post.

Ten minutes later, a crucial goal line clearance from Sanson Pereira denied Nihal Sudeesh his first goal for the club and kept the two-goal advantage intact. Eight minutes were added on at the end of regulation time during which the Blasters probed forward but failed to create anything substantial as they suffered a second successive defeat.

Kerala Blasters FC win here and bag all three points. They have also extended their unbeaten streak to eight games and have moved up to third place on the table. It was quite comfortable in the end, and the home crowd will be delighted with their performance. The first half was full of drama, with KBFC taking the lead through Apostolos Giannou and then being pegged back by Daniel Chukwu.

However, their pressure paid off when they were awarded a penalty, which was perfectly taken by Dimitrios Diamantakos to give them the lead going into the break. At the start of the second half, Jamshedpur FC started well, but Ishan Pandita fluffed his lines a couple of times, or else the story could have been different.

KBFC took advantage of it and put their authority on the field, and soon after, they made it 3-1 when Adrian Luna finished off a brilliant team move. They did not go all defensive after that and continued to try to score goals, which provided JFC with a few opportunities. However, the visitors were not up to par in the final third and KBFC put on a good defensive display.

With this defeat, Jamshedpur FC have gone winless in their last nine games, and they will need to turn their fortunes quickly if they are to get their season back on track.

INDIAN SUPER LEAGUE - 2022-23 LIVE SCORE

The home crowd had reason to cheer at the end of a game for the first time at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati on Saturday as NorthEast United FC ended a ten-match losing streak to pick up their first points and win of the season. The home side beat ATK Mohun Bagan by a solitary goal, with striker Wilmar Jordan the man to put them in front in the 69th minute, before they kept their discipline at the back to seal a result that ended the Mariners' own unbeaten streak and left them vulnerable to dropping out of the top three.

It was ATK Mohun Bagan that started the game on the front foot - and it would stay that way until they conceded. The visitors had a sizable number of shots on target at almost every point in the game, but an organised NorthEast United FC defense made sure that none of these shots were ever able to be substantial ones.

To their credit, the home side also made sure they kept their scoring options open and didn't allow ATK Mohun Bagan's much higher possession of the ball pin them back into their own halves. They were a continual threat on the counter, and although they couldn't get too many of their shots on target as a result, they did keep asking questions of ATK Mohun Bagan's high line.

INDIAN SUPER LEAGUE - 2022-23 LIVE SCORE

The first real sign that they weren't just looking to take a point from this game came in the 22nd minute when Jordan shielded the ball with his strength just outside the box, made a quick turn and got a shot away at the far post. He couldn't find enough curl on it and only hit the post.

For ATMKB, most chances became a case of either being straight at the keeper, going over the bar, or being from a fair distance away. In the 68th minute, Kiyan Giri had perhaps the clearest chance in the second half for the visitors - but even that was from a tight angle on the right side of the box, and he could only find goalkeeper Mirshad Michu with his shot.

That was a sign of ATMKB pushing for a win that would keep them on the heels of Hyderabad FC in second place. But their commitment to scoring would turn into a boon for NorthEast United FC in the very next play. It took them only two passes to find the goal - one from defence to release Emil Benny on the right flank, and then the midfielder's cross to find a rushing Jordan's head in the middle of the box. From there on, NorthEast United FC took control of the game, producing more chances than ATKMB and holding on to the result.

A tightly contested 1-1 draw between Chennaiyin FC and Kerala Blasters FC spelt the end of the latter's five-match winning streak in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai on Monday. Sahal Abdul Samad had put the Blasters in front in the first half before Vincy Barreto returned to score against his former club with an equaliser in the second.

Midway through the first half, Kaliuzhnyi spotted Samad’s run and played a sublime through ball into the path of the winger. Majumder came off his line in an effort to close the angle for Samad, but the 25-year-old cleverly dinked it over the charging keeper to score his third goal of the season.

In the 27th minute, Vanspaul curled a promising cross into the box from the left flank and Duker was set to score before Nishu Kumar’s crucial intercepting header put the ball out for a corner.

Three minutes into the second half, half-time substitute Ali was picked out in the box by an inch-perfect ball from Vanspaul. The striker’s first-time volley was parried straight into the path of Baretto by Prabhsukhan Gill. From close range, the midfielder smashed it home against his former club.

In the 81st minute, substitute El Khayati shrugged off his marker in midfield and slid a ball through to Sliskovic down the right flank. As Anirudh Thapa darted inside the box, Sliskovic scuffed his cross, and the ball went out for a goal kick. That signaled the end of any major attacking moves from either team in the final few minutes of the game.

Kerala Blasters FC reached a new landmark after notching their fifth successive win in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL), an exhilarating 3-2 result against Bengaluru FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi on Sunday.

INDIAN SUPER LEAGUE - 2022-23 LIVE SCORE

Both teams came in unchanged, and it was the visitors who drew first blood after just 14 minutes when skipper Sunil Chhetri pounced on a long ball from defence and tried to take it away from Blasters goalkeeper Prabhsukhan Gill. As they came together, Chhetri fell to ground and the referee pointed to the spot. Chhetri got off the mark this season as he sent Gill the wrong way and put the Blues in front.

Eleven minutes later, the hosts restored parity. Sandesh Jhingan took Diamantakos out near the edge of the box with a tackle. Adrian Luna struck the upright from the resulting free kick and the ball cannoned off to the right flank. From there, Sandeep Singh whipped in a cross, and Marko Leskovic managed to keep his composure in a crowded box to level the score.

The comeback was complete two minutes before the break. Luna, who was menacing in the final third throughout the half, played an inch-perfect low cross from the left flank into the box, where Diamantakos got ahead of Aleksandar Jovanovic and got on the scoresheet in his fifth successive game.

In the 70th minute, substitute Giannou established a two-goal cushion for the Blasters. Approaching the Bengaluru FC penalty area, Diamantakos played a through pass to Giannou before the 32-year-old striker took it away from Sandhu and squeezed it in from a tight angle with his first contribution after coming on.

The Blues were not down and out as they pulled one back in the 81st minute courtesy of Hernandez. Blasters defender Ruivah Hormipam’s looping header landed straight at the feet of Hernandez, who unleashed a fierce volley from the edge of the box that flashed past the keeper to cut the deficit back down to one. But that was to be Bengaluru FC’s last offence.

Dimitrios Diamantakos struck for the fourth time in as many games to give Kerala Blasters a narrow 1-0 win over Jamshedpur FC in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur on Sunday. The Red Miners will feel they could have been better as the Blasters nabbed four Hero ISL wins on the trot for the first time in their history.

The game got off to a cagey start, but Blasters eventually took the lead in the 16th minute. From a free kick, Adrian Luna lobbed the ball towards Diamantakos at the far post. Poor defending from Jamshedpur FC allowed the unmarked Greek striker to get on the end of it and carefully side-footed the ball home from close range.

In the 72nd minute, Pandita was taken out by a smart tackle from Sandeep Singh right on the edge of the box. The full-back was only shown a yellow card before Thomas stood over the free kick and fired it into the stands, summing up Jamshedpur’s evening.

Kerala Blasters ended Hyderabad FC’s unbeaten run in this season’s Hero Indian Super League (ISL) with a hard-fought 1-0 victory at the G.M.C. Balayogi Athletic Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday. Dimitrios Diamantakos (‘18) scored the only goal of the game to take the Kerala Blasters to third place in the league.

Hyderabad FC were going to retain their place at the top of the table regardless of the result, and were heading into this tie on the back of four straight 1-0 victories. Kerala Blasters and Ivan Vukomanović are on the road to recovery with convincing wins in their last three matches after a slow start to the season.

Kerala Blasters took the lead thanks to some excellent work from Adrian Luna in the build up to the goal in the 18th minute. The Uruguayan found some space in the pockets, before playing an ambitious lobbed pass into the path of an onrushing Nishu Kumar.

Kerala Blasters ended their 10-game winless streak that spanned 6 years, against FC Goa with an assertive 3-1 victory in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi, their first since November 2016. Goals from Adrian Luna, Dimitrios Diamantakos and Ivan Kaliuzhnyi within the space of ten minutes secured all three points for the Blasters. Noah Sadaoui scored for the Gaurs.

Both sides’ defences were on top until the 42nd minute when Luna fired the hosts in front. Rahul KP’s cross from the right flank missed Luna’s diving header before it reached Samad. The winger’s off-balance shot rolled into the path of Luna who tapped it in from close range.

INDIAN SUPER LEAGUE - 2022-23 LIVE SCORE

Decibels went through the roof moments later as the Blasters were awarded a penalty at the stroke of half-time. Diamantakos was taken out by Anwar Ali after the Gaurs failed to clear their lines. The Greek striker stepped up to take it and sent Dheeraj Moirangthem the wrong way from the spot.

In the 52nd minute, Ivan Kaliuzhnyi went top of the Hero ISL goals chart with a long-range screamer. Diamantakos squared the ball into the path of Kaliuzhnyi. The Ukrainian was allowed space and time to pull the trigger with his left foot and Dheeraj had no chance of stopping the curling effort. The Gaurs pulled one back in the 67th minute. Seriton Fernandes found an unmarked Sadaoui with a lofted cross into the box. The winger kept his header on target and pulled a goal back for his side, but the Gaurs couldn’t manufacture any substantial chances after that one. The solitary goal helped FC Goa’s goal difference enough to retain the fourth spot.

Kerala Blasters got their season back on track in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) after a 3-0 victory over NorthEast United FC at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati. Dimitrios Diamantakos (‘56) and Sahal Samad (‘86, ‘90+6) were the two goalscorers for the Kerala Blasters.

The coaches did not make any changes heading into the second half, but the two teams showed more directness by taking a few shots early in the half. The plan paid off for Kerala Blasters in the 56th minute. Saurav Mandal was played through by Rahul KP, and Mandal’s shot was met by Diamantakos, who added the finishing touch to an excellent team move.

NorthEast United FC came extremely close to equalising twice in the space of two minutes. The first chance fell to Imran Khan, who got on the end of a brilliant cross, but could not get the right connection. Emil Benny got on the end of an even better chance a minute later after being played through by Matt Derbyshire. Despite rounding off the goalkeeper, Benny’s touch was too heavy, and ultimately not even resulting in a shot.

NorthEast United FC were punished two minutes later by Sahal Samad, who finished off a rapid counterattack to give Kerala Blasters a 2-0 lead. The substitute added another goal six minutes into second-half stoppage time to give his side a 3-0 victory.

NorthEast United FC’s problems in front of goal, and in defence continue. They remain in last place and will be facing ATK Mohun Bagan Vivekananda at the Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata next week in search of their first win of the season. Mumbai City FC kept their unbeaten streak alive after a splendid 2-0 victory over Kerala Blasters FC in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi today. First-half goals from Mehtab Singh and Jorge Diaz were enough to secure all three points for the Islanders. Kerala Blasters lost their third consecutive game after winning the ISL opener earlier this month.

The Islanders retained their record of scoring the first goal of the game in the Hero ISL as they took the lead after 21 minutes. The hosts failed to clear a corner as the ball bounced off a couple of Blasters’ players before coming to Mehtab Singh. The defender put his boot through the ball and smashed it into the back of the net.

INDIAN SUPER LEAGUE - 2022-23 LIVE SCORE

Ten minutes later, poor defending from Marko Leskovic allowed Diaz to go one-on-one with the keeper. The Argentine kept his composure before scoring against his former club as the visitors doubled their advantage. The goal came a minute after Mongil had denied Lallianzuala Chhangte with a brilliant last-ditch tackle.

Kerala Blasters kicked it up a notch in the second half. The hosts managed to push the Islanders inside their own half as the Mumbai City defence faced a barrage of Blasters attacks. Dimitrios Diamantakos’ low shot was palmed away by the keeper before Jeakson Singh’s header from the resulting corner was inches wide in the 57th minute.

The win keeps the Islanders’ unbeaten streak intact as they go second on the table with two wins and two draws after four games in the Hero ISL. They are one point behind leaders Odisha FC.

The Diwali fireworks started early at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar as Odisha FC secured all three points against Kerala Blasters with a dramatic 2-1 comeback win in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL). Harmanjot Khabra scored in the 35th minute before Jerry Mawihmingthanga equalised in the 54th minute and substitute Pedro Martin won it for the Juggernauts in the 86th minute.

The midfielder’s goal-bound shot was blocked by Gill before Jerry tried to tap it in from close range. The goal was chalked off because Gill had a glove on the ball when Jerry toe-poked it into the net.

The visitors got their noses in front ten minutes before half-time. Adrian Luna played a short corner to Lalthathanga Khawlhring before whipping a brilliant in-swinging ball from the left flank. Khabra sprung the offside trap and broke the deadlock with a thumping header.

INDIAN SUPER LEAGUE - 2022-23 LIVE SCORE

It was all square in the 54th minute when Shubham Sarangi’s long throw from the right was flicked on by Osama Malik in a chaotic penalty area before Carlos Delgado’s shot was parried into the path of Jerry and the 25-year-old made no mistake tapping it in from close range.

A minute from the hour mark, Luna’s inswinging ball from the corner caught the Odisha FC defence off-guard. Amrinder Singh, at full stretch, could not get a glove on it and was relieved to see the ball hit the far post and roll out for a goal kick.

The game turned on its head in the 86th minute. Amrinder lofted the ball towards the final third, where substitute Pedro Martin took it down with a deft touch before smashing it past Gil with aplomb to give Odisha FC their second Hero ISL win over Kerala Blasters FC.

Most foreign players, after coming to India, think that getting into the team and playing ISL will be easy. With Kalyuzhnyi, we want to take it step-by-step, adapting him to the new environment, new system, new team and players, and this is a gradual process. In the first game, we decided he’ll start from the bench. He’s young and has great qualities that can help turn up the tempo of the game and to change its rhythm."

This is football. When you win or lose the matches, the important question for the staff is why we won or lost. In our point of view, we lost because we did not have many clear details about the opponents”, said Ferrando. “Apart from the technical and tactical aspects of the game, we also have to account for player emotions.
